After having spent quite some time looking around and researching car in dash GPS/DVD players, I decided on this unit.

The information in the item description was quite adequate, and all necessary info for comparisons was included. The only issue I have is that the description listed a user manual, but the manual was not in English, and so was of no help to me.

Because of the lack of a manual I needed to spend extra time working out how to operate the unit. However, the interface is reasonably easy to navigate, and I was able to work things out.

I am using IGO version 8 GPS software which runs perfectly ok on this unit. I had some problems at first, not being able to get a GPS signal. I eventually worked out that I had to rescan for the GPS hardware (in the IGO software) in order for the right driver to be loaded.

The bluetooth interface works well, and you can download your contacts from your phone once connected. I had some frustration pairing and connecting my phone at first, until I worked out that the pairing/connecting touch button was on the dial pad (button with 2 heads). Again if the manual was usable this would have been easier.

The radio interface is quite acceptable. The reception is a bit iffy but I'm not sure if this is to do with my Aerial which is an aftermarket ad on.

It seems to play media files no problems and has a good range of codec formats, particularly for video.

I have had some buggy problems with the DVB TV receiver, and have had the sound lock up on me a few times. However I see the TV capability as a bit more of an unnecessary gimmick. You need to be in a fairly prime location for signal but that is to be expected.

I have given this unit an excellent rating because when you compare what you are getting at such an excellent price, your getting a lot of bang for your buck. This unit is in the same price range as a median priced Car CD player. And you definitely would not get a 7inch retail store GPS unit for this sort of money.

So overall while you cant expect a generic unit like this to be bug free at such a low price, it is definitely worth the money and then some.

On purchasing this item I was weary of the "made in China" label on the box and hoped that at best half the functions might work.

I had my unit installed by a professional, so installation was no problem at all. After a frustrating five hours (and some hours spent by the installer) I have finally worked my way around what is possibly one of the worst user interfaces (not to mention terrible back-end) I have encountered (it is not easy to find GPS software for windows CE6). However, all this aside, and to my surprise, I am very happy with the build quality of this Chinese unit and despite the supplied manual being a generic manual that provides little to no help at all for this unit, everything actually works great! (I still haven't managed to work out how to get sound on the TV but I'm sure it works)

I would not recommend this product to those who are not tech savvy, but to those who are, the hardware is fine so if you can work your way around the software then it is a good unit at a good price.

Worst Manual Ever

Заказ был доставлен за 10 дней.Неплохая магнитола,все работает прекрасно но звук не очень,басов совсем нет.У нас ловит прекрасно 7 цифровых каналов(г.Калининград).В целом доволен,но звук это минус.

Toestel besteld en geleverd zoals vermeld. Het in bouwen verliep zonder problemen maar wel de nodige inbouw en aansluitkabels moeten bijkopen. ( bijna even duur als het toestel zelf) . Voor de stuurwiel bediening moet er ook een adapter tussen geplaatst worden .
Verder was het aansluiten geen probleem met dank aan de informatie die te vinden is op het internet (Google).
Wel ook nog ongeveer een 70 euro aan douane kosten moeten bijbetalen.
