These are great cameras to have around the house. I love this site. There is tons of cool things to buy
Small and high-tech camera. Use an 7805 instead of the power supply, and the camera will go portable. for use on RC vehicles...
I may seem critical when I say that the documentation does not cover any technical information regarding how the IP camera polls the network and the lack of support for MAC OS. I have been able to get these cameras to work with MAC OS Mountain Lion on a wireless network, but it cost me $10 for the WinOnX app, which enabled me to run the setup program to initialize the camera and it was the only way to get the internal intranet http: URL for the devices. With the actual URL information I am able to use the PUSH access method with Mozilla and log into the cameras using the Mozilla browzer. But no where is it documented clearly that you can access the cameras this way after they are properly setup on the network. Before buying app WinOnX I tested Unet Cam, UFoscam and Umobile Cam and none of these apps work without first running the install CD in a windows emulator. Also, there is not documentation about how you have to reset the cameras using the reset button on the bottom, if you want to change a camera from an ethernet cable connection to a wireless local area network connection. Nor is there documentation about what happens when the camera is disconnected from power after it has been setup wirelessly. The camera does not automatically connect to the wireless network after power loss, which renders these cameras useless as true security cameras that can operate without human intervention in the case of a power outage. If you loose power, the cameras require human manual intervention to get back connected to the network. I have a problem neighbor that keeps an open wireless network and the IP Camera keeps connecting to the neighbors network before it will connect to my. Only after asking my neighbor to shut his home wireless network completely off am I able to get the camera to associate with my network. My recommendation is to run the cameras using an ethernet connection if you have power outage issues, otherwise in wireless mode you have no idea of knowing what network the camera will connect to. None of this is covered in the documentation so you are working in the dark and have to test and stumble through a lot to see how these ip cams actually work.
