I can't make the pointed part work on my iPad and the flat rubbery part is too stubby to be of much use.
I bought a few of these: Item #00121892, and they would seem to be much better value.

Not sure if everyone has picked this up, but you can use the pen like tip for taking notes (it mimics the pointiness of a pen) and you can use the rubber tip (other end) for selecting buttons etc – basically anything you’d might use your fingers for when using the ipad.

Why did apple not include a stylus when I bought an ipad? This is great for note taking. I use it to take notes at lectures, turning my ipad into a true electronic pad.

My ipad cover is red so this goes really well with it . The thickness of the stylus is that of a normal pen, so fits really comfortably in your hands.

Sorry, but this just does NOT work with iPad. Neither the rubber bit and especially not the pointy tip.
iPad has capacitive touch screen, regular pointy stick does not work on it.

I was looking for something to help with typing on my iPad and with my games and this looked like it would do the trick.
I'm glad it was cheap.
The iPad is designed to respond to your finger and this pen just doesn't duplicate that well enough.
It will work, but you really have to work at having it at the right angle.

Except that it is not the fault of the pen. It is simply not possible to make fine line drawings on the ipad. That is a function of the screen.
