I could not be happier & I'm sorry Kristine & the others were disappointed . I had this dress custom made knowing that the style was right for me and I left plenty of time to have it arrive on time. My body shape is an inverted triangle with a 45inch bust, I love this dress, it gives me shape around the hips with the rouching being slimming around my less than flat belly!! The frill on the bottom balances my large shoulders, not to mention how well made it is. While the model is beautiful & the colour of this dress didn't want to make me order it & it is a style that I knew would work for my shape.
Already trying to decide what to buy next. It is a must if your not a standard size to have them custom made to size, oh & buy a colour swatch too, the colours on the swatch vary with the fabric, don't try & order a colour off a computer screen unless it's Black or White. Watch that video on how to measure then check & re check think this is the key and why some people are disappointed. Do they measure right in the first place??? I did & it was no worries perfect fit don't even have to wear a bra.

I read many reviews before I bought & I did notice that Light in The Box are happy to rectify if they get it wrong after all they are human.
I recommend Light in The Box to all my friends who also have being buying from this site.

I simply love my dress. It is absolutely beautiful. The measurements were perfect. Your staff was very patient with me in figuring out the "hollow to floor" measurement. I need to make a little adjustment to the waist...but that's it (this is optional)

Has anyone got a refund from ordering a standard size dress (no alterations), how easy is it to get a refund? What if the dress didn't fit properly or didn't suit, can you still get a refund? Are these justification for a refund?

Hi, I am in the process of purchasing a dress on sale from this site. The dress looks great but on a tall model, it probably would. I am just 5 foot and a size 8 and am concerned if the dress didn't fit properly, where would I stand for a full refund. I have read the policy but it does contradict itself.
An immediate response would be helpful as the sale ends in 3 days.

I ordered this dress in two colors, and paid an extra $30.00 @ for it. Don't bother custom ordering. In fact, don't order from this company at all! I am 5ft. 1", 32 D, 105 lbs. I usually tailor my clothes. I custom ordered. All they did was took a size off of the size chart, and took it in three times, hemmed it 4 times, which consequently made the seams extremely thick. Shame on you , Light in the box. For me, it's more like, Light Dawns on Marblehead!

I ordered this dress, plus other items in late March for a wedding in late May. Going by the time required for tailoring, I figured it would be shipped around 20th April. There was a delay and I was told it would be shipped on 23rd April. Now there is another delay and I'm told it will be shipped in May but no one can tell me why it has been delayed or when exactly it will be shipped. I have purchased through Light In the Box before and been really impressed. This time I'm really disappointed and at this stage I don't even know if my order will arrive in time. I have already had one item refunded because it was out of stock but I've checked the product and it's still available for ordering, so I'm also very confused.

I purchased this dress for my fiance's mother to wear at our 1/1/11 wedding and although the color didn't work for our wedding color pallet (i.e. appears more red than the color burgundy I ordered) she said she'll still find some where to wear it, so I can't complain. I'm hoping she wears it for her upcoming birthday celebration. That would be a real treat since she liked the way it looked on.
