I purchased this for my 7" Android Tablet and it works great. The brackets adjusts enough to fit a 4" (10 cm) wide tablet, right up to 8" (23 cm) - the iPad requires 7.5" (19 cm). Its features a large suction cup base, allowing for a firm grip to the windshield and enough adjustment to suit any viewing angle, whether vertical or horizontal. Best of all check out the price ....... highly recommend this.
