I purchased an evening dress for a special formal fundraiser. It was very easy to order and it was delivered in the time frame described. I was so excited when the dress arrived and immediately tried it on. The quality of the dress was as expected, but it was made too small in the hips with NO room to alter. The photo of the dress flow off the hips....not skin tight. I was unable to move in the dress and sitting down was impossible. I'm working with the customer service to remedy the situation, but was unable to wear the dress to the event it was purchased for.

My sister and I ordered this dress for our sisters wedding. The dresses were beautiful...on their own! There were noticible differences in the beading of each dress, one having a lot more beads than the other. On their own, each dress was really pretty, and something we never would have been able to notice with only having one dress. The sizes were also way off. I am a dress size 12 and the 14 didn't zip up hald way! The size 12 was also two inches longer than the size 12. Again, most of the differences you would never know with ordering only one dress. I think the dress desgin is beautiful and classy modest and would have kept it had they been cut to the right sizes and the beadwork was the same. I think for the price, the dresses were very well made (besides the sizes), Although we almost didn't return them, we ended up returning them just because of the sizes. If the sizing had been accurate we probably would have kept them! The great part about Light in the Box is that they did refund all of our money (even shipping costs) and even though we did have to email them a few times, the customer service wasn't that terrible to work with. I think that I would order from Light in the Box again, but only if I was ordering one dress and I would definitely order at least one size up. I'll post pictures when I get them off my camera!

Just wondering, some reviewers have mentioned that this dress comes with a built in corset, can you explain how that works? Do the dress measurements take into account the corset or should I make allowances for it? I'm seriously considering buying this dress for my year 12 formal and I would like to know these things.
Also, what material is the underneath section of the dress made from? Will it affect the colour if I order according to the colour chart/swatches?

I ordered this dress in red, it was a very bright red which I loved. The beadwork was done very well however, be aware that the beads are not only silver as pictured, there are gold and black beads as well. I had this dress made for a military ball and I received compliments all night long at how elegant I looked. The dress has a corset built in along with a bra which I was not expecting and it made it a little tight in the rib cage which didnt bother me. The material was high quality along with the stitching. I will definitely be ordering from light in the box again for next years ball!
