• “I was very pleased with the dress. It came EXACTLY 2 weeks after i ordered it when i had expected to wait at least 3-4 weeks. I had never online shopped before and so i was quite apprehensive when i came to buying my senior school ball dress online but i am thoroughly pleased with the outcome and will definitely consider buying from Light in The Box again. The packaging was very secure and the dress arrived with no damaging. I looked at the sizing charts and i bought a size 10 in the color "clover" as it was the closest size to all my measurements (give or take a few inches either side of each recommended measurement for bust, waist and hips) and it fit's absolutely perfect. I got the dress for my 6th form school ball and throughout the evening i was getting compliments from students and parents alike. The dress was very comfy, easy to move in and not too heavy. I will admit that it was slightly too long, even with my quite high heels, i had to get the outer skirt taken up slightly to match the length of the inner skirt so that i didn't trip over. I also had to get the strap shortened slightly so that it felt slightly more comfortable and secure (so the dress rested slightly higher up on my chest) however overall i am very pleased with the product and i already have recommended this website to multiple friends.”

• “Love this dress. I am 5'7 my measurements are 33 bust, 29 waist, 38 hip and 60 hollow to floor. I ordered the size 4 and it fits perfectly. The length just touches the floor in the front which will be perfect for my beach wedding. It does have a few spots where it looks like the heat singed the lace appliqués, but for the price it was overall a good deal and I am happy with my purchase. They left a pin in the lace at the bottom with a red head. I am going to try to cut it out without damaging the fabric. The pictures do not do it justice. It is overall a well made dress with beautiful detail. It may be a bit warm for a summer wedding if you are in a swampy climate like FL. I ordered April 29 and received May 17 with expedited shipping.”

It arrived precisely on time, well packaged, and just as ordered. We were surprised just how well tailored it was, and what good value, as compatible items purchased locally were twice the price, even with the delivery costs included. • “The dress is lovely - very forgiving of a bit of sag and bulge around the midriff! I was worried that it would not flatter a 60-year-old but it does. I did have to have the dress shortened, because they added two inches to my length measurement and I am not going to wear high heels. I will also need to avoid slouching when I sit because of the boning in the bodice. It is so nice to have a dress that actually fits!”

• “I am so pleased with this purchase. The material and workmanship is VERY NICE! I was nervous about ordering a dress online--sizing, color, etc, but this worked out perfectly! The color chart online is very accurate, as is the sizing chart. My daughter was on the smaller side of a size 10, and the dress fits her perfectly. As you can see from the picture, the dress is more tea length than just below the knee. This is for a wedding, and the bride had requested something between knee length and tea length, so we were ok. Ordering was easy. I appreciated how simple and quick it was to see the progress on the order. Everything arrived as promised! And, you can't beat the value! • “Well, like just about everybody, I was a bit concerned about ordering online. I have heard horror stories from others! After lots of research, I went for this dress as a 'trial run' for my wedding in November. As I was going on a cruise at the end of April, I had a good excuse for a new gown! I ordered and paid for the dress. The dress was shipped on the estimated date and arrived on the estimated delivery date. It was fantastic tracking the package across the globe! I had heard of other dresses being charged extra from UK customs on entry to the UK and was prepared for that. But the dress was delivered by the courier company without any extra charge. I guess I was just lucky this time! I am plus size, but the box it was delivered in was tiny 😉Given it had been packed up for days, it just needed a shake and a hanger and was good to go. In fact I packed it up in its little bag and took it on holiday as it had arrived to me. Again, no pressing needed, so great for travelling. Now for the dress. I am stunned by how beautiful it is. It is SO well made. The zip can be a little sticky, but there is a lot going on around it. It never got stuck, was just a little stubborn. The fabric is sheer and elegant, the lining is quite a heavy grade, so drapes beautifully. I ordered a 20w fully expecting to have to have it altered. My waist is out of proportion to my bust and hips, so I ordered for that. In the end, I didn't need to have it altered. I did choose to wear a bra with it, but it was an enhancer, just to make me feel better lol. I am 5'7 and with heels on I could walk without tripping over. I had to hitch it up slightly to walk upstairs, but for me it was perfect. I love the detail on the shoulder. The flowers are so well made and compliment the dress perfectly. I also felt 'safe' having an off the shoulder as opposed to a strapless, no pulling up as the night wares on! I can't tell you how often I was stopped and was complimented on the dress. I felt like the Queen! So now, I have to trawl through all these beautiful dresses again to find the perfect one for my wedding. But I am safe in the knowledge that WHATEVER I choose, it will be well made, gorgeous and perfect for my big day! I apologise by the way for the terrible photograph. I'll try and put a better one up at some point. It was very important for me when looking for the dress that i saw 'real' sized people wearing them. I just wanted you to see what it sort of looked like on me. 10/10 Light In The Box... I can't wait to start shopping with you again.”

• “We were really happy with the dresses. I took the flowers off and changed the color of the ribbon so it matched the shoes but each bride needs to personalise. The girls loved the dresses too a wore them to the races. One of the girls (my sister) had to get the dress taken in (the sizes are a bit generous) and the seamstress commented on how well the dresses are made and the quality of the fabric. Alot of my guests commented on how stylish the dresses were. My bridesmaids were very different sizes and suited them both. I won't hesitate to use light in the box again. My mum wore a dress from here too. So happy - and packaging was really good too, alot of care taken.”

• “This was my first time ordering a dress online. I ordered clover and ivory colors. It fit perfectly without being altered (lucky for me I'm a generic size 4) I normally shy away from strapless dresses since I don't have that much on top but the built in bra kepp the front of the dress close to my chest and there is no gap when I pull back or lean over. I'm totally satisfied with this dress and have gotten lots of compliments. I will definitely not hesitate to buy any additional dresses from lightinthebox!!”

• “I love this wig. It's wonderful. Everyone that sees it on me loves it. I look beautiful in it. I lost most of my hair due to chemotherapy and hair started growing back slowly but it was curly and frizzy. It's still very short and I'm used to long hair that I can style either straight or wavy. This wig is always wavy. I love it. Seriously, it's the best thing I ever purchased. I shower. dry my hair and put my normal hair in a cap and then put this on. It takes me about 15 minutes to get ready instead of 1 hour. I have trouble lifting my arms so drying my normal hair was a huge task. I was going to the salon every other day but that got old and way too expensive. This wig allows me to feel like a female again. It's the one thing during all of my pitfalls that I can control. I can't put a price on getting control of one thing in my life. Can't control my illness or the changes in my body, but this is something I can control and I feel like a new person. Putting this wig on makes me feel beautiful.”

Received it yesterday and I'm really happy with it. The fit was absolutely perfect. I thought the dress looked a little short on the model however the 2 other reviews said it was longer which is so true... We're not models after all. Length is perfect for a wedding. Very classy dress. Ignore the shoes... I just put on any pair of heels.”
