I ordered this dress in ivory to change into for the evening reception of my wedding. It is extremely long but that is not problem because it can be turned up easily. Sizing was perfect too.

The whole dress is simply beautiful. Wish I had one in black as well.

Excellent quality! Turned out exactly how I expected. To make this suit me better I am getting it altered. I'm getting the boning and padding taking out of the bust, and it taken in around the bottom of the bust to make it fit me better. As this is for my ball and not a wedding I am getting the train taken off. Overall, happy with what I got as it what I expected but wasn't happy that I had to pay the crazy extra cost to get custom measurements as my measurements weren't on the chart, which I find odd as I am a standard New Zealand size 10-12!

One BEAUTIFUL dress! I bought this one and two others from Light In The Box for my wedding. This is my second marriage and I'm a bit older now (50's), but I didn't want something matron-ish. I'm still pretty physically fit, although the sands have shifted a bit ;-) This is the PERFECT dress! The other two I chose are also VERY nice and well crafted, but this one was the best for my body type. The other two (since there are no returns) I will donate to a local charity for teens who can't afford proms dresses. Win-win! Anyway, I am 5'7" and ordered a size 14 because the size 12 (my usual size) of the first dress I bought was a bit small across the chest (I'm a 38C). I think these dresses run small, so you may want to order a size up. Also, this dress is longer, which I wanted, but I was walking on the front of the dress, so I took it and the shoes I'll be wearing to a local alterations store and they will hem it for $40. Not bad! The seamstress there was also impressed with the dress and the quality! AND, she thought the price was incredible! Oh, and if you're worrying about how the bodice will hit across the chest, they leave a 'tail' on the straps in the back so they can be sewn to the correct length! It is one beautiful dress! I may even have it taken up to Tea-length after the wedding so I can wear it to a nice dinner or occasion! THAT'S how much I LOVE this dress! Oh, and as it wasn't my first wedding, I got it in Silver which is like a champagne gray... VERY pretty!!

I love my dress, fitted perfectly and so well made, just like the picture! Before I ordered I had a live chat, discussed fabrics and about the nade to measure service, well worth the additional money. It was great to be able to track the progress of the making and shipment and Light in the box kept me informed throughout. The dress was very well travelled and the size of the package amazed me, opened the box with trepidation, wow just what I wanted. Now I just have to wait for the big day!

First and foremost - this dress is beautiful and my niece absolutely loves it! I shopped with her for well over 10 hours and helped her try on countless dresses (seriously at least 50 dresses were tried on). I can assure you the quality of this dress is far above any store dress we tried at prices similar to and a lot higher than this. When we ordered we had only 2 business days of extra time available if the production and shipping took longer than the maximum number of days quoted on the website. Unfortunately the dress did not ship on the day quoted at the time we processed the order and this did cause stress with a looming deadline. But in the end the dress was only delayed 2 business days.

Ultimately, the shipping manifest was generated around 1:00am on Monday morning. The dress left the East China hub about 5:00am on Tuesday. The dress arrived in Los Angeles and cleared customs about midnight and left LA at about 5:30am on Wednesday. The dress was delivered (in the Phoenix area) by 10:00am on Wednesday - AMAZING!

We will definitely order from LITB again, but will allow a bit more time so there is less worry! I have attached a couple photos - though cropped my niece's head since she came after a workout! By the way - we also did custom measurements and felt that they are pretty true. We need to adjust one strap (she's lopsided like me) and will be cutting the train to match the hem length - but fit is great.

I loved this dress! I ordered it in champagne for my friend's senior prom.. it was perfect. It was a tad too long but with a little hemming it worked out great! The quality of fabric is excellent. The tailors even commented on it. A lot of work and care was put into the dress. The top was a little low, but my tailor put a peice of the cut off fabric there to make it more presentable. It was not itchy or anything. I love it ! I recommend this dress one hundred percent ! If you're iffy about choosing a dress, this one a for sure perfect choice !
