Connection with 3G ROUTER - 1) possible, 2) problems with data usage?
I want to buy this camera, but I need to clarify a couple of things first. The camera will operate all day/night every day on a small coffee kiosk to monitor my staff and the kiosk at night. Occasionally (ie once a day for a few minutes) I need to be able to access it remotely from my laptop. No need for recording.
As no other internet options are available, it will have to work with a 3G MIFI router.
1) Will I be able to install it for this purpose?
2) Is the data allowance from 3G provider going to be a problem? typical data allowance for month is 1GB or 5 GB, is this going to be enough?

This camera does support continuous recording day and night. It can work with Wi-Fi/802.11/b/g and RJ-45 10/100Mb self-adaptable Ethernet slot. You can get access to the records via smartphones or your computer. The recording of this camera doesn't consume data allowance. Thank you for shopping with us:)
Can this unit be turned off remotely?
I am considering this unit for an observatory and would like to be able to turn off the unit while it's being used for imaging. The main use is to ensure the telescope is parked and out of the way for the roll off roof to close without hitting the telescope.

Can the camera work without a power adapter, on Battery
I need to have a camera down a drain, where there is no power outlets, to use on a battery backup. Also have a WiFi capability to send the images back.
Does this camera have this?

What happens when IP changes? Do I have to purchase a Static IP address from my cable company?

This camera supports both static IP address and dynamic IP address. If you set it in dynamic IP address, you only need to install a software on your computer when you want to get access to the recording.
