You sound like you know how to get these things working : )
I recently bought one but with minimal IT knowledge, I'm having trouble setting it up and can't get help from here or the manufacturer. I'm having several issues and was wondering if you can help me? I am suspecting it is faulty and may need to replace it.
1) The camera changes its position after I set it to a certain direction all by itself at anytime.
2) When I view it using firefox connected with ethernet cable, I can see footage almost straight away. But when I use my iPhone 5 apps (Camviewer or IPCAM Lite), it almost always freezes, doesn't load at all, very delayed movements, unable to connect. If I try to remotely change direction, it moves super fast one way or another, but never where I want it to stop, regardless how gentle or slow I pressed the arrows.
3) Does it have sound? Customer service told me it doesn't have audio. But the specs say it does and I've read other reviews that it does.
All the above are issues using wifi at home. But I really need to use it when I'm out and about and then I can't get it to connect using cellular coverage.
4) Which app do you use to view on your smartphone?
5) What ip address do I need to put in my apps?
6) Do I need to do anything in my router settings?
I am so lost and annoyed and have been trying to get it functioning properly every nite. Its so temperamental and goes crazy. Can you help me with my problems please? I have little IT knowledge, so may need precise instructions/explanantions.
Thanks in advance. Sorry to bother you but I can't find any setup support, the pdf file for instructions is not useful at all and I've tried to google instructions. 800+ reviews can't be wrong, right?

I'm having pretty much all the same issues you are having Yvonne. At one point in time...for like 1 day...I could view my cam when I wasn't home, but I can no longer assess it and I have no clue why. Please help me if you have a chance too Wanscam - Happy!

It work in local network but I can not record anythibg from it ?!
When press on record icon try to choose partition on my pc to save it it refuse and tell me do not have premision to save on that partition? Ask me if can save in my video category only!
I did accept that but guess what could not found and recorded video!

Another issue tge free ddns website vipcam.org doesnot work!

Tried to set motion alarm to get photos on my email falloed instruction did not work and more than that my email been scamed!!!

Really frustrated becuse I just tgrough 50 $ in waste !! I prefered this cam on tge cisco one and that what I got!

delsolgirl317,you cant see anything,because your ip when it should be a static ip address. dynamic address,s changes every 24 hours,therefore your camera dosnt know whats going on

Search tool for IPCameras for mac is not working. I can download the file, but my mac won't open it (says the file has damaged or it's not complete). I have tried to download it several times. Do you know, is there any other places to download the software or another versions?

pour les video normal, je ne pense pas que la cam enregistre les video. elle peut juste en mode alarme prendre des photos sur detections de mouvement et envoyer un mail ou mettre les photos sur un serveur ftp.
