LOVED this dress. Sent in my measurements for custom size and it fit perfectly. Excited to wear in my next pageant in May. The color was gorgeous as well.

This dress is so beautiful and so elegant. The Dress arrived promptly and was well packed. Gorgeous fabric too.. The only moan I have is that the front of the dress was much longer than the back. Since this dress has a train, I’m guessing what’s happened is that the seamstress has accidently cut out the back pattern of the dress, ‘which is much longer’ and then they’ve sewn it to the front of the dress.. This won’t be an issue, because I didn’t want a train anyway, and there’s plenty of length, ‘front and back’, to play with. I’m going to cut off the train off the ‘front’ and just hem the dress myself, so it will be perfect.

I am 5'6", 140 lbs. I ordered this dress in a standard size 10 based on my measurements, and it fit well. The sleeves and neckline are really beautiful. The only thing that didn't quite work for me was that the back of the dress was fitted down to below the hips, while the front was very loose and flowy. The look didn't really work for me (probably because I have larger hips and a smaller bust), but I bet it would look great on other people, or if I had ordered the dress specific to my exact measurements. Just know that the chiffon is attached to the under layer and that that isn't apparent in the model's pictures because of her hand placement. Besides that, it looks great and I can't wait to get it back from the seamstress (I'm having the bottom part loosened up just a little bit so that it matches the flowy-ness of the front).
It arrived much faster than I thought it would and even with the cost of minor tailoring, it will be much more affordable than anything else I've found in stores.
Another plus is that the top is very structured. I won't have to worry about the shoulders slipping off or something bunching or pulling in a funny direction. It's very flattering.
Although it wasn't exactly what I expected, I will definitely be ordering dresses from Light in the Box in the future!

Just a beautiful dress! I am a classic pear shape, smaller on top, larger on the bottom. This dress is perfect for my shape with the empire waist! The portrait neckline puts all the focus on your face and shoulders. I bought the chocolate brown and it is a lovely, rich shade.
The construction is excellent, the price exceptional and it arrived about 10 days after I ordered it. This is one very satisfied Mother of the Bride.

The dress is ok. A little bit heavy and the lining is not quite appropriate for a summer dress.The colour is much lighter than the sample shown and it is too long. I was charged 34.88 pounds upon receipt which is quite unpleasant and makes the dress price way too high for the quality I am afraid.Quite dissappointed compared to what I expected but as I paid so much I need to wear it....

I purchased this dress for my nephew's upcoming wedding. When I ordered it, I must admit I was a bit skeptical. However I read the reviews and decided to purchase it anyway. It arrived ahead of the expected delivery date, and I was not disappointed. I did not custom order the dress and the size 6 fit me perfectly. In addition the material is of excellent quality. It is quite long and the length has to be shorten, however I would not hesitate to purchase another evening dress from Light in the Box .

The dress was identical to the picture - fabric was top quality and the fabric alone retail in Australia would have cost the value of the dress.
I am a size 18 and 6ft tall so I ordered the 18W standard in Navy. It fit fine but it was a bit fancy for my occasion as it had a small train so I simply cut the train off and had it re-hemmed at my local quick sew ($28). I didn't mind doing this at all as being 6ft tall I can never find a dress long enough and this was super long at the bottom, giving you the option to re-hem at desired length. I had a lot of comments about what a lovely dress it was on the night.

I like the promptness of the service. Customer service is great and considerate. I purchased this dress for my daughter's wedding unfortunately there was a problem with fitting and built in bra,altering it will not make the dress perfect for the occasion. I was so excited to get the dress but i have to return it. The hassle is in sending it back, too much work specially for busy person like me.

I still admire the designs posted on the website, very creative. Looking forward to do business in the future if I have enough time to spend.
