| I have purchased retail, this unit. The unit performs almost perfect. Area of issue is tail rotor. Propeller can make contact with earth when lifting off the earth.
What I did was make small box to set unit on, therfore making tail propeller, further away from earth.. Small issue, but important.. |

| I received a carton (8 pcs) of this model last week. So far I have tested and tuned 7 of them. I flew and compared one with a 4 channel E-sky Lama V4. Here is what I have found.
Pros Cool looking and detailed fuselage Sturdy design and material far better than those made of styro foam Two strobe flash lights are very pleasing to the eye Very stable when tuned properly Powerful motors, or more exactly, powerful motor sound you would expect of a military helicopter Cons The battery cover under the chopter comes off easily during the flight though it could easily be fixed with a scotch tape It is sometimes hard to install the battery for the transmitter. On occasion you will even need to unscrew the back cover to reconnect the wire. The two trimers on the transmitter, while offering more control, are not easy to adjust at the beginning. The upper one especially, if not in the right position, may stop the upper motor. In this case, the rotating blades might break the still blades. The rechargeable battery does not seem to last long. Verdict This model is a good buy if you have some technical know-how. One of the models has a strange issue. Each time I fly it, the lower pair of blades will be displaced and move very closer to the upper ones. Fortunetly an engineer friend of mine solved this problem by taking apart the chopter and tightened a screw somewhere inside. Unfortunetly I was not there when he did it. |
