1. A-lijn
Een vleiende pasvorm voor iedereen, het A-lijnmodel is werkelijk een vrouw haar beste vriend. Door zachtjes van de schouders naar beneden uit te waaieren, glijdt deze jurk eerder over de rondingen dan aan het lichaam te kleven, wat een elegant silhouet creëert.
Is deze stijl iets voor jou? Als je klein bent dan zorgt de A-lijn voor de illusie van extra lengte, als je lang bent kan de jurk voor extra volheid zorgen en als je rondingen hebt die je liever wilt bedekken, de A-lijn doet dit ook.
2. Baljurk of "Pick Up"
De meest traditionele jurkvorm van allen, de baljurk voegt rondingen toe door de taille te benadrukken en gracieus naar een volledige rok over te vloeien. De rok is uitstekend geschikt voor het verbergen van brede heupen en het creëren van een prachtig zandloperfiguur.

3. Kolom of nauwaansluitende jurk

4. Zeemeermin
Ook bekend als de trompet of “fit & flare”, zeemeerminjurken zijn aangemeten aan de bovenzijde en geven een mooi dramatsch effect rond de knie.

5. Empire
Dit empiremodel bestaat uit een lijfje met een hoge taille direct onder de borst. De look kan zowel zacht en vloeiend of meer gestructureerd en klassiek zijn, afhankelijk van de gebruikte stoffen en insnijding.

6. Prinses

7. Mini
Voor de pittige , uitdagende bruid. De steeds populairdere mini bruidsjurk eindigt ver boven de knieën en is perfect om te pronken met een stel sexy benen.
Is deze stijl iets voor jou? Dit model is het best geschikt voor informele trouwfeesten of trouwfeesten in de open lucht en is ideaal voor ‘beach weddings’ tijdens de zomer. Zowel flatterend voor lange bruiden met lange benen als kleine bruiden die er op hun speciale dag langer willen uitzien.

10. Enkellengte
De jurk op enkellengte heeft een boord op enkelhoogte, zodat je voeten en schoenen zichtbaar zijn. De jurk kan los of passend zijn.
Is deze stijl iets voor jou? Uitstekend voor bruiden die henzelf als slim, stijlvol en modern willen presenteren. Doordat de boord van deze jurk de grond niet raakt, is deze jurk zeer populair voor trouwfeesten in de open lucht – of voor de bruid die niet wilt dat de gasten op haar jurk stappen!
11. Vloerlengte
Net iets langer dan de trouwjurk op enkellengte, is de stijl van deze jurk niet bedoeld om over de vloer te worden gesleept maar om enkele centimeters boven de vloer te zweven. Sommige jurken op vloerlengte komen met versiering rond de boord om de stijl te benadrukken.
Is deze stijl iets voor jou? In plaats van je schoenen en voeten door je jurk bedekt te hebben, zorgt het zichtbaar hebben van deze delen vaak voor een beter evenwicht van je trouwensemble. Waarom voeg je niet een ander kleur aan je trouwensemble toe, bijvoorbeeld rood, en draag je tevens schoenen in deze kleur? 12. Sweep Sleep
Sweep Sleep jurken zijn er voor bruiden die een traditionele sleep willen hebben, maar geen hinder van een lange sleep willen ondervinden. De sleep op Sweep Sleep jurken raakt de vloer nauwelijks aan.

13. Hof Sleep
De Hof Sleep, die circa 90cm over de enkels reikt, is langer dan de Sweep Sleep en kan op de meeste ceremonies, formeel, semi-formeel, informeel, worden gedragen.

14. Kapel Sleep
De Kapel Sleep is de populairste onder de sleeplengtes. De lengte van de sleep is tussen de 90 en 150cm. Een bruid die de Chapel Train stijl draagt, zegt op een krachtige wijze "Ik ben mooi en speciaal! Dit is MIJN dag!”

15. Kathedraal Sleep
Kathedraal Sleep jurken zijn voorzien van een gedrapeerde sleep voor formele trouwfeesten. De sleep is tussen de 180 tot 240 cm lang. Deze stijl staat ook bekend als de “Monarchie Sleep“.
Is deze stijl iets voor jou? Deze stijl is de perfecte formele bruidsjurk en zal zeker de aandacht van de gasten in de kerk of tijdens je receptie trekken.
16. Watteau Sleep
Een enkele strook stof bevestigd aan de bovenzijde van je jurk, aan de schouders of bovenrug, die al golvend tot aan de vloer afdaalt, is het voornaamste kenmerk van een Watteau Sleep jurk. De sluier kan in lengte verschillen.
Is deze stijl iets voor jou? Aangezien de sleep reeds aan de bovenrug van de bruid start, laat deze stijl de bruid toe om er van achteren elegant uit te zien. Ook geschikt voor dames die hun eigen sleep willen dragen.
17. Asymmetrisch
Asymmetrische jurken zijn voorzien van verschillende kenmerken aan de ene zijde van de jurk in vergelijking met de andere. Een populair asymmetrisch ontwerp is het hebben van een boord die aan de voorzijde korter is dan aan de achterzijde. Deze stijl zorgt ervoor dat de bruid er vanuit verschillende hoeken anders uitziet.

Voordat u uw op-Bestelling-Gemaakte jurk bij ons besteld, raden wij u aan uw metingen professioneel te laten opnemen door een lokale kleermaker. Hier laten we u zien welke metingen nodig zijn en hoe u deze correct kunt uitvoeren. Waarschuwing: uw eigen metingen thuis opnemen is lastiger dan u denkt! Voor de beste resultaten raden wij aan een professionele kleermaker in de arm te nemen.

Verzendinformatie voor Op-Bestelling-Gemaakte Jurken
Omdat al onze jurken op bestelling worden gemaakt, is de benodigde tijd om de jurk op maat te maken afhankelijk van de complexiteit van het ontwerp en de vraag naar het artikel. Elke productpagina van een jurk zal de geschatte verwerkingstijd tonen, gebaseerd op deze factoren. Om ervoor te zorgen dat u uw jurk op tijd ontvangt, plaatst u uw bestelling zo vroeg mogelijk om langere verwerkingstijden tijdens piekperioden te vermijden.
Bestelling annuleringen
We begrijpen dat het bestellen van een jurk voor een speciale gelegenheid een belangrijke onderneming is. Ons annuleringsbeleid houdt hier daarom ook rekening mee. Het is echter belangrijk om te melden dat al onze jurken alleen Op-Bestelling-Gemaakt worden. Wanneer het ontwerpproces eenmaal is begonnen kunnen de materialen dus niet meer opnieuw worden gebruikt. Het goede nieuws is dat na het plaatsen van je order je nog enige tijd hebt om te beslissen. Zie onze annuleringsbeleid hieronder voor meer informatie.
Ons Annuleringsbeleid- Bestellingen die binnen 24 uur na de betalingsbevestiging* worden geannuleerd komen in aanmerking voor een volledige terugbetaling.
- Bestellingen die binnen 24 tot 72 uur na de betalingsbevestiging worden geannuleerd komen in aanmerking voor een gedeeltelijke terugbetaling, bestaande uit de volledige verzendkosten en 50% van de aankoopprijs van het product.
- Bestellingen die na 72 uur na de betalingsbevestiging worden geannuleerd worden, komen in aanmerking voor een gedeeltelijke terugbetaling bestaande uit de volledige verzendkosten.

Retourbeleid
Retour voor vervanging of terugbetaling
Tevredenheid van de klant is voor ons het allerbelangijkst. Bij levering van je pakket raden we je aan om deze te controleren en na te gaan of de jurk volgens jouw aangegeven specificaties zijn gemaakt. Draag je jurk zo snel mogelijk zonder de labels eraf te halen, iets te wijzigen of de jruk te wassen.
Als je jurken of accessoires terugzendt of omruilt, zorg dan dat deze zich in hun originele staat bevinden, d.w.z. niet versleten, ongewassen, ongewijzigd, onbeschadigd, schoon, vrij van pluizen en haren en met de labels intact en bevestigd.
Defecte, beschadigde of verkeerd verzonden artikelen
Je komt in aanmerking voor een terugbetaling van de volledige aankoopprijs plus verzendkosten voor defecte, beschadigde of verkeerd verzonden artikelen. Als je denkt dat je artikelen tijdens de verzending werden beschadigd, vraag je expediteur om een "Schadebewijs" document.
Problemen met de maten of pasvorm
Aangezien all onze jurken met de hand en op maat worden gemaakt is het mogelijk dat het uiteindelijke product circa 2,5cm in elke richting van de aangegeven maten kan verschillen. Om te waarborgen dat je jurk je perfect zal passen hebben onze kleermakers al onze jurken met extra stof in de naden geproduceerd, zodat een minimale aanpassing van de maat zeer eenvoudig uit te voeren is.
De jurk is niet de maat die je hebt besteld
Als je jurk meer dan 2,5cm verschilt met hetgeen je hebt aangegeven tijdens de bestelling, raden we je aan om een lokale kleermaker te vinden die de nodige aanpassingen zal uitvoeren. We zullen vervolgens 100% van de gemaakte kosten terugbetalen. Als je voor deze optie kiest, vraag dan om een betaalbewijs aan je kleermaker en stuur ons een kopie wanneer je een terugbetaling aanvraagt.
De jurk is de maat die je hebt besteld maar het past niet
Jurken die niet goed passen maar voldoen aan je opgegeven specificaties kunnen niet worden teruggestuurd of omgeruild.
Doordat onze jurken met extra stof in de naden worden gemaakt, kan een lokale kleermaker kleine aanpassingen uitvoeren, dit wel volledig op jouw kosten.

Verkeerde kleur
De instellingen van je computerscherm kunnen de kleur van de afbeeldingen op LightInTheBox.com anders weergeven. Een klein verschil tussen de kleur van je jurk en de kleur weergegeven op het scherm betekent niet dat de jurk defect is, of verkeerd verzonden is. Als je er echter van overtuigd bent dat je het artikel in een verkeerde kleur hebt ontvangen, neem contact op met onze klantendienst om te bekijken of een retour of terugbetaling mogelijk is.
Producten buiten de leveringstermijn
Als om een of andere reden je order niet binnen de aangegeven tijd werd verzonden en te laat werd geleverd, maar niet meer dan 10 dagen na het verstrijken van de termijn, dan kom je in aanmerking voor een volledige terugbetaling of een 30% terugbetaling bij levering van het product. Als het product meer dan 10 dagen na het verstrijken van de termijn werd geleverd, dan komt de klant in aanmerking voor een volledige terugbetaling. Als de jurk niet wordt teruggezonden, dan worden alleen de verzendkosten door de klant betaald.
Retourproces
1) Dien een retouraanvraag in bij de klantendienst, binnen 30 dagen na het verzenden van je bestelling *. Voeg uitleg en foto's toe om de reden van de retour te documenteren. Retourneringen worden niet aanvaard als er geen voorafgaande goedkeuring van de klantendienst is.

Wat zijn de voordelen van “boning”?

1. Hoe lang van tevoren moet ik mijn jurk bestellen? ^Naar boven Timing is zeer belangrijk wanneer je de perfecte jurk bestelt, en we houden hier dan ook ernstig rekening mee. We bevelen aan om een trouwjurk minimaal 5 weken voordat je deze nodig hebt te bestellen, en minimum 3 weken voor je jurk voor trouwfeesten of andere speciale gelegenheden.
Waarom zo lang? We maken op maat gemaakte jurken, zodoende kan het iets langer duren in vergelijking met andere online verkopers. De fabricageperiode voor trouwjurken is 13-15 werkdagen en voor jurken voor trouwfeesten of andere speciale gelegenheden 7-9 werkdagen, plus een verzendtijd van 3-8 werkdagen (de exacte verzendtijd is afhankelijk van het gekozen verzendbedrijf en de methode).
De beste manier om een stressvrije winkelervaring te waarborgen, is om voldoende tijd voor de fabricage en verzending in te calculeren, plus extra tijd te voorzien om de jurk uit te proberen en indien nodig aanpassingen uit te voeren wanneer de jurk eenmaal is geleverd.

Hoe weet ik zeker dat ik de juiste maat bestel? ^Naar boven Tijdens het online bestellen van een jurk voor je speciale gelegenheid is het aanbevolen om aandachtig te zijn zodat je de juiste maat ontvangt! Aangezien we een internationale onderneming zijn, is het mogelijk dat onze kleding korter of langer dan de door jouw gebruikte standaard maat is. Als je maat ‘fluctueertt’ of je de jurk lichtjes wilt aanpassen, geen enkel probleem. We laten altijd enkele centimeters in de naden zodat je lokale kleermaker indien nodig aanpassingen op een eenvoudige manier kan uitvoeren. Welk soort stof gebruik je voor de jurken? ^Naar boven Elke jurk is vervaardigd uit één, of een combinatie van de volgende mooie en hoogwaardige stoffen:
Chiffon: een delicate, dunne en transparante stof, vervaardigd uit zijde of kunstzijde. De zachte afwerking bestaat vaak uit meerdere lagen vanwege de doorzichtigheid van de stof, zodat deze stof vaak wordt gebruikt in overrokken, dunne mouwen en sjalen.
Organza: helder en dun zoals chiffon, maar met een stijvere textuur die aan tule doet denken, maar dan vloeiender. Wordt vaak gebruikt in rokken, mouwen, ruggen en bekleding.
Satijn: zwaar en glad met een hoge glans aan de voorzijde. Zeer vaak gebruikt in bruidsjurken.
Zijdeachtig satijn: zacht, zijdeachtig satijn met een glanzende voorzijde en matte achterzijde.
Mat satijn: zacht, subtiel glanzend en glad oppervlak. Gelijksoortig aan zijdeachtig satijn maar minder vatbaar voor plooien.
Taffeta: een heldere, zachte en hoogwaardige stof met een licht ribbelpatroon.
Tule: netpatroon vervaardigd uit zijde, nylon of kunstzijde die voornamelijk voor rokken en sluiers wordt gebruikt (denk aan tutu’s bij ballerina’s)

Hoe weet ik hoe de stof er in werkelijkheid zal uitzien? ^Naar boven Het raadplegen van onze kleurentabel en foto's moeten je een goed idee geven hoe de jurk, kleur en stof er precies zullen uitzien. Wat voor rits zal mijn jurk hebben? ^Naar boven We gebruiken 2 typen ritsen – onzichtbaar en zichtbaar. Onzichtbare ritsen zijn verborgen in een zoom en gebruiken een discrete bedekking die opgaat in de jurk. Zichtbare ritsen zijn breder maar verborgen achter een strook stof. Ze zijn versterkt aan de bovenkant met een metalen haak die door een metalen of stoffen ring gaan. Elke rits is van de hoogste kwaliteit en gekozen met de algehele kwaliteit van de jurk in het achterhoofd.

Waarom stomen?
Stomen helpt kleuren helder te blijven en behoudt de pracht van uw satijn of satijnachtige jurken.
Veel van onze jurken hebben delicate afwerkingen die beschadigd zouden kunnen raken in de wasmachine of door wassen met de hand.
Stomen minimaliseert de noodzaak voor het gebruik van drogers, strijkijzers etc. om kreukels te verwijderen. Hitte kan het materiaal van de jurk beschadigen.
Vlekken:
Ongelukjes gebeuren, maar vlekken hoeven uw prachtige jurk of avond niet te verpesten. Wanneer juist behandeld, kunnen veel vlekken worden verwijderd waarna uw jurk er als nieuw uitziet.
Vlekken stomen:
- Al onze jurken kunnen alleen gestoomd worden.
- Laat vlekken zo snel mogelijk behandelen door een professionele stomerij voor de beste resultaten.
- Laat de stomerij weten wat de vlek heeft veroorzaakt zodat deze het best behandeld kan worden.
Vlekken zelf behandelen:
Als u tijdens een gelegenheid een vlek op uw jurk krijgt, kunt u de jurk waarschijnlijk niet direct naar de stomerij brengen. Dit is wat u dient te doen om schade te voorkomen en verder te kunnen met uw avond.
- Dep zachtjes op de vlek om overtollige resten te verwijderen. Als er nog resten zijn schraap deze dan weg met een bot mesje.
Vlekken thuis behandelen:
- Veeg nooit op de plek van de vlek, aangezien dit de vlek kan verspreiden of de vlek verder de stof in kan duwen.
- Gebruik een schoon wit doekje om te deppen. Vermijd papieren zakdoekjes aangezien deze resten kunnen achterlaten.
- Gebruik geen zeep of andere reinigingsmiddelen als u de jurk later naar de stomerij wilt brengen. De middelen kunnen de jurk beschadigen.
- Olie vlekken moeten worden behandeld met een absorberende stof, zoals babypoeder of maizena. Laat dit 5-10 minuten intrekken, om het vervolgens af te vegen en te deppen met een doekje. Laat zo snel mogelijk stomen. Veel voorkomende olie vlekken: make-up, vet of boter, deodorant, benzine of body lotion.
- Voor alle non-olie vlekken plaatst u een doekje onder de vlek en dept u tegen de vlek met een ander doekje dat u in koel water hebt gedept. Veelvoorkomende non-olie vlekken: sappen, koffie/thee, lichaamssappen, rode wijn, modder, inkt, baby voedsel.
- Laat hardnekkige vlekken in koel water weken tot deze weg zijn (tot wel 24 uur). Resterende vlekken dienen door een stomerij te worden behandeld.
- Strijk, stoom of hitte droog bevlekte stof niet, dit zal de vlek verharden.
Als je besluit om een vlek zelf te behandelen,doe dit dan voorzichtig. Vergeet niet dat elke vlekkenmiddelen of detergenten die u gebruikt kunnen reageren met droge reinigingsmiddelen en beschadiging van de stof moet u later besluiten om het droog gereinigd. Terwijl de zuurstof schoonmaakmiddelen op basis van en zachte wasmiddelen kunnen sommige niet op basis van olie vlekken te verwijderen uit polyesters, zijn olie gebaseerde vlekken best behandeld door professionele stomerij.
-Gebruik nooit bleekwater of ontvlekkingsmiddelen met bleekmiddel op onze jurken.
-Volg alle instructies op de verpakking van de vlekkenmiddel's.
Spot-de vlek remover eerst testen op een onopvallend gebied.
-Mixing vlekkenverwijderaars schade stof.
-Voorzichtig dab alle overtollige af vlek met een schone witte doek, en let niet te wrijven in verder.
-Plaats nog een doek onder de vlek residu te vangen.
-Werk het vlekkenmiddel van de randen in, zodat de vlek is verwijderd om de vegen doek en het doek eronder. Vermijd vegen naar buiten en het verspreiden van de vlek.
-Volledig Spoel alle reinigings-of achteraf vlekkenmiddel van de stof.
-Once gespoeld, roll natte stof in een handdoek en vervolgens plat te drogen. Niet draaien of wringen.
Kreukels
Onze stoffen kreuken niet gemakkelijk, maar wanneer dit gebeurt is het vaak al genoeg om de stof op te hangen, zodat de kreukels er vanzelf uit gaan. Voorzichtig strijken of stomen met lage hitte kan helpen de kreukels glad te strijken.
- Als de jurk nog steeds kreukels heeft na een paar uur op een hanger, probeer deze dan op te hangen in de badkamer tijdens een hete douche voor een lichte stoming. Zorg ervoor dat de jurk zelf niet nat wordt.
- Hardnekkige kreukels kunnen worden verwijderd met een warm strijkijzer. Vermijd de hetere instellingen aangezien deze de vezels van de stof kunnen beschadigen.
- Als u stoom gebruikt, gebruik dan gedestilleerd water en reinig eerst alle roest of deeltjes uit de stomer.
- Test het strijkijzer of de stomer eerst op een onopvallende plek, of plaats een schone doek tussen het ijzer en de jurk.
Bewaren/Onderhoud
Onze stoffen zijn niet alleen gekozen vanwege van hun look and feel, maar ook voor hun duurzaamheid. Met een beetje onderhoud gaat uw makkelijk vele jaren en vele speciale gelegenheden mee.
-Het is een goed idee om onze jurken te laten stomen na elke draagbeurt. Lichaam oliën, deodorant residu of onopgemerkt vlekken op de jurk zouden in de stof kunnen trekken en de stof doen verkleuren over tijd.
- Als de jurk niet te zwaar is, kan deze voor een aantal maanden zonder problemen in een kledingzak hangen.
-Als u een zwaardere jurk ophangt, overweeg dan de rok te draperen over een tweede hanger om het gewicht van de schouderbanden te nemen.
- Jurken met veel kralen of borduurwerk kunnen uit elkaar worden getrokken indien zij voor vele jaren worden opgehangen. Bewaar deze plat, het liefst in een doos met zuurvrij vloeipapier of een wit vel.
- Leg plat of rol de jurk op in plaats van deze te vouwen om kreuken te voorkomen.
- Sla op of hang de jurk op op een koele, droge plek om vergeling of schimmels na verloop van tijd te voorkomen.

Both my wife and I wore this same dress to our same sex ceronmony in Jan 2011. We had them custom made for us and the dresses fit almost close to perfect with the measurements we gave. We had the straps slightly ammended in Australia. But other than that we were extremely happy with how well the dressers were made. We did attach a coloured train to the exsisting train to individualise them to our own personalities which enhanced the look of the dress as well. The train was detactable which was perfect to take off for our reception. Light in the Box were fast with shipping and were excellent with all there communication and updates. I would definitely recommend Light in the Box. Measure yourself correctly with a bit extra space more than anything. Our dressmaker was impressed with the workmanship for the price. while my dress DID take quite a while to arrive, when it did, i fell in love with it! I wore it to my prom and got soo many compliments on it. I did need to have it altered a bit. the train was quite long but the seamstress added a small button to the back so it could be busseled because the train was too gorgeous to remove completely! the bead work was very nice as well. I bought this dress in sky blue for my husband Marine Corp Ball. I'm 5'3'' with a 35 1/2 inch bust 26 inch waist and 36 inch hip. I was so afraid the the size 6 would be too small, but I bought on a whirl hoping that if it was I could loose a few inches before I had to squeeze into it, but it was perfect fit. The only issue I had was cheap looking sleeves which seems to be the most thing people complain about. I also had an issue with it being to long by about 6 inches. I tried on 4 inch heels and I was still stepping on it so I got it altered which costed another 40 bucks since it is chiffon. The color matched perfectly to the swatchs. I was thinking it would be a little dark so I bought the sky blue, but I wish I had bought in darker blue now because it made me look even more pale than I am which made me self conscious, but other than that I'd say it was a great experience. The shipping was pretty quick after it was shipped. It took a total of about 3 weeks to get it and 5 or 6 days to get it in the mail after I received the "it shipped" notice. I bought this dress for my wedding in April. It arrived in under a month which I thought was very good. I did'nt get a dressmaker to fit me, I did it myself, but I believe it to be very accurate as I measured myself about 6 times to be sure! Unfortunatly when the dress arrived it was about 2 sizes too big for me. That is quite a big difference so I don't know how it went wrong. But better too big than too small I say! When buying the dress I asked one of the online sales reps what colour the sash was on the dress pictured and was told pink. However the pink was a sickly lolly pink which didn't match the ivory of the dress. I really wanted a vintage dusky pink colour so I bought the fabric colour I wanted and set out to find a dress maker. It was hard to find a dressmaker that would do a good job for a good price but in the end I found a clothing alterations shop who was awesome. I had 3 fitings and had the dress resized to fit me perfectly and also made some changes to the design for $300 NZ. So all up I paid $700 NZ for the dress, which I was extremely happy with for a dress I will only wear once! The changes to the style that we made were: -Attaching a hook under the zip where the train could be hooked up when I was dancing etc. (I highly recomend this as it looked realy lovely up aswell as down) -Making the train slightly shorter at the sides as it didnt sit particulary well when hooked up -Made the dress tighter at the thigh all the way down to the knee so it fish tailed more as I didn't like the A-Frame style -Replaced the sash for a different colour and made it tie up at the back -added in bra inserts so that I didn't have to wear a bra You could tell the fabrics were not high quality but only by looking up very close and the beading on this dress is quite lovely Buying this dress online was a real risk but one I am happy I took. It can be stressful when you can't try a dress on before you buy it but I think if you don't hold high expectations that the dress will be perfect when it arrives and order it early so you have enough time to fix it up then it is worth your while, especially if you don't want to pay the big money for a dress in a shop. There was one part of the dress that I need to get fix, part of the dress was overlapping the flowers on bottom, but it's nothing big. In my opinion, the dress needs a mermaid petticoat. In the picture that I attached I put a regular petticoat under the wedding dress, that's why it looks so big. I custom ordered this dress in ivory and it took just over 2 weeks to arrive....I live in Oregon....The only thing I didn't care for was the straps they just looked cheap on such a beautiful dress. I took a pair of scissors and carefully cut them off. As soon as I did that we all thought wow! Fit perfectly. Married August 7th 2010 in Vegas. So many compliments asking wear I bought it:) Also I had to iron the chiffon a little in the areas that didn't have ruffles. the bride ordered us GOLD color. when i saw the dress for the first time, I thought the color looks a greenish. It was not love at the first sight. It has self padded bra and the workmanship was pretty good. I got a size 4, and the waist and bust fits a little tight for me, but it’s all good because it made me correct my posture. The other petite bridesmaid in the photo ordered a size 2, she think it’s a little big, but it’s not her fault because size 2 is the smallest size they have. if you have curvy or bigger chest, I would recommend to order a size up. My wedding was on July 2 in my backyard. I wanted something comfortable but elegant. This dress was absolutely perfect!. The material and the actual make of it are stunning. My mother said that you could probably wear it inside out. I sent in my measurements, and it fit like a glove. I just recieved this dress I only ordered one for my bridesmaid because I wanted to make sure it was what I wanted I'm so happy with this dress I ordered it in the blue with a white bow the blue is gorgeous the fabric is thick and beautiful and the stitching on this dress is perfect. 2 of my girls are a size 8 but I ordered a 10 because I didnt want it to be to small The size 10 fits them like a glove they love it cause the dress actually has built in cups for the chest and it makes them look like they have a bigger bust and who wouldnt want that! I ordered 4 of these for my bridesmaids (made to measure). They were gorgeous and went well with the accessories we bought. Only a few hitches with the fitting. One dress was slightly smaller then measured, another was too big and on all the dresses we had to tack down as they stick not sit as in the picture. I was very happy with this dress. I ordered it for my senior prom and it was gorgeous. As usual, I procrastinated and waited until only 15 days before my prom to order the dress.. my prom was on May 1 and I ordered the dress on April 16. It came the exact day I expected it to come (April 26). I was scared to open the box because I have never ordered any type of clothing online before, so I was afraid that it might not be what I expected. I was wrong. The dress looks exactly like it does in the picture. It has beautiful beading and flows beautifully. The fabric quality was just as I expected. It has three layers of fabric which makes for a beautiful flowing look (the bottom layer is a kindof thicker fabric, the middle is a silky fabric, and the top is a sheer flowy fabric. All of my friends and my boyfriend loved the dress too, in fact my friend is going to borrow it next weekend to wear to another school's prom she was invited to. This dress is a steal! Hey people, I uploaded pictures of the dress. It is a european size 36 and fits perfectly. Material is rather tulle than organza, but is nicely fluffy and layery. The material is also rather transparent, that is why I wear a bra underneath. I ordered several dresses, all are very nicely made, excellent craftsmanship. Hi, I ordered this dress March 21 and it arrived today 6th May, just in time for my formal which was on the 8th May. I ordered the dress in black and I would highly recommend black to anyone interested in this dress. It looks absolutely stunning on and when it came to the night of the formal I received endless complements (and am still being talked about at school to this day). I was looking for something with sleeves in a reasonable price range and came across this dress. I ordered 10 total in 2 colors and several sizes. The blue and the lavender for alternating colors in the bridal party. Here are a couple of pictures. There are small sleeves that you cannot see in the websites picture here. you can see what I'm referring to in the picture of my daughter in both colors that I'm posting. We ended up cutting the sleeves off all 10 dresses. I'm very pleased with the blue (turquoise) color. It's very bright. The fabric is not soft like chiffon but still very good. Light and comfortable. Amazing dress! This dress completely exceeded my expectations. The embroidery is phenominal. The dress is covered in intricate detailing. The pictures do not do it justice. All the embroidery around the midsection is completely emersed in bead work. It comes with a very nice breathable garment bag as well. I did the exact size and it is a perfect fit. Im a larger woman, about a size 14-16 normally. The dress is amazing regardless of size. I haven't figured out how to tie the train up for the reception yet, but i'm sure i will think of something. This dress is a complete steal at 229$. I saw similar dresses retail at more then 3000$. I came across this dress looking for something with straps vs the 98% of strapless dresses right now. so i ordered my dress and it took a total of TWO MONTHS to be made and shipped to me. luckily it made its way to my doorstep a month before prom! i ordered the dress in grape and put in my custom measurements (which were NOT my measurements because i had to get A LOT of work done to the dress!). when i opened the package, i took out the dress and saw that it had a TWO FOOT LONG TRAIN. the waist of the dress was too small and i had to get the train cut off and a gusset put in on both sides and the zipper changed. after two weeks of work and $150 spent, the dress was perfect! before you buy, READ THE REVIEWS! hopefully you won't be in the same situation as i was! I wore this dress for my wedding 3 months ago. I loved it, I was so impressed with the quality as soon as I received it! Only thing I didnt take into account was the fact that because its shipped and packed into a box, it was creasy when I took it out of the box however once I had it steamed it looked stunning. Only other thing I would change is getting it made to size instead of the standard size that I chose because it was a little bit to long for me, but you hardly noticed at the wedding. The quality of the stiching and material of the dress is great, the boning is in all the right places, the details and sequins on the front are gorgeous. At first I was hesitant to buying a wedding dress online and from another country plus I hadn't heard anything about this website but after reading other reviews on the site I saw that people had good luck, so for under $300 I went for it and I am SOOOO glad I did! It's smaller and lower than pictured and I looove that about the dress. This will be an easy fix as I am not worried about it! I have always dreamed to have Audrey's dress for my wedding and here it has arived to me within 10 days of ordering it!! White, simple, timeless - utterly beautiful :) The dress and the veil I have ordered came in a middle sized box printed inside with flowers and a pink zipper cover for it. Everything was nicely packed. As for the quality, a whole dress is well made. I still can't believe for such a little price! I chose size 2 since my measurements are exact and the padded bodice is tight, especially underneath the arms (not too tight though). It's more like well-fitting :) Ballet-type skirt has many layers and it's just perfect. I can't wait to wear it at the wedding day! I'm certainly going to order one more dress for other occasion. I'm eloping to Las Vegas to get married. I needed a simple knee length white dress. I was reluctant to buy online for all the obvious reasons. I spent two months trying to find a dress. So, on May 11th, I decided to order it. I had a back-up dress just in case. I got my dress today. It's perfect. It fits like a glove. It's top quality workmanship. The neckline shows that is kinda heart shaped, but it's not, it goes straight across. That is not a problem it is still beautiful. The belt is not attached and there are no loops, but i'm glad because it looks better without a belt. I am so very pleased with my purchase. The sizing is true. I wear a 16W dress and that is what i ordered. It is not flattering to my figure but i don't have a flattering figure LOL. I have pics. My 6yr old Grandson took them so please excuse. I ordered my dress on June 5th and received it today, June 23rd :o) (For references' sake, I live on the East Coast of Canada). My boyfriend and I are eloping to Florida in October for a beach wedding and I fell in love with this dress....and didn't read the million awful reviews out there until AFTER I had ordered it, so I was extremely nervous about it. I got it today and I have to say, I am VERY impressed with my $99 dress, as were my parents and older brother. It is built so sturdy, with lots of under layering and boning on the corset, not to mention a built in bra which is incredibly important for bigger chested ladies like myself in a strapless. I wore this dress in 'lilac' to my school ball recently and I loved it - wish I could wear it again! It did take a while to arrive (5 weeks) so I was really worried that it wouldn't arrive in time but the shipping was amazingly fast. Unfortunately it had a really long train (like the other reviews have said) which cost alot to be removed by another seamstress. I think the silver sequins/beading looked nice with the lilac and I didn't find it tacky. I bought one dress as a test for my bridesmaid, with the idea of buying the rest of the dresses if the first one worked out. I was SO thrilled when I saw the pictures of my sister wearing the dress and looking stunning! The boning, ruffles, zipper seams, were all perfect! Since she ordered a standard size, it was slightly tight around the middle, so she will just get it altered a little around the waist. Still, it is a small fee to get it altered compared to the full value of the dress. It's made of heavy, beautifully smooth satin fabric, and she is thinking of altering it more after the wedding to turn it into a cute little cocktail dress. It is also really long in the skirt - because my sister is pretty short - but getting it shortened is tons easier than getting it lengthened! Another thing - some people would think chocolate brown an odd color for a bridesmaid dress, but I LOVE chocolate brown, and it's one of the colors for my wedding - and though I'm biased - I think it looks absolutely beautiful! We bought a custom sized & tailored dress of this type in ivory colour (not green as seen in the pic). We are absolutely satisfied with both the service and the dress itself. Everything was just as requested (colour, material, shape, style, size). I know many people are afraid of buying their wedding dress from a webshop (and from China) but it's so simple and fun. You measure parts of your body following the simple guidelines of lightinthebox and they produce a custom made dress for you - it's not that you must fit into a dress pre-made following a general sizechart. We made the order from Hungary (not close to China, indeed :), and shipping was fine (with DHL) - it takes a good while for the package to be shipped if you want a tailor made dress as we did but if you count with the maximum number of days promised/estimated by lightinthebox, you'll be on time for sure. The only difference in the parameters of the dress here and in real life was its weight. The whole box (which included this dress + a pair of shoes for the dress) was pretty small and weighed not more than 0.5 kg (!). And even better, the dress was not creased at all due to its material. I was so nervous buying dresses from so far away but the dresses here in the UK are all made in China and shipped to bridal shops anyway so I decided to cut out the middle man. I am more than glad I did. Firstly, the fact that - for the small extra charge you can have dresses made to measure - means a saving of at least £40-£60 per dress if it had to be altered here in the UK. I had all 3 of my adult bridesmaids dresses made and they are a beautiful fit. Just the quality you would get in any bridal shop. Supported bust and lining. My size 14 and 18 bridesmaids are both very happy with the fit. I had to change my 3rd bridesmaid and so had to take the 3rd dress to be altered for the new bridesmaid. The bridal shop alteration has only cost me £40 as the dress has been made in such a way that it was a simple job to do. The alteration lady even commented on the quality of the dress. If you are worried about the measurements just stick to the website's measurement advice. My bridesmaids are wearing kitten heeled shoes but I think if they were going to wear high heels they would have needed a little extra length. I ordered Burgundy all 3 in completely different sizes and they are absolutely gorgeous. I am so happy with them. Plus even with the chinese new year holiday (their only one all year) I received them with fully trackable DHL courier in very good time. I emailed customer service so many times to check on them and they were always polite, helpful and quick to reply. I wish UK companies were so good in customer service in all honesty! I am VERY very picky and usually would only buy a designer dress- but totally fell in love with this. Quality was amazing--tons of layers, excellent fabric, perfect color match, measurements exactly as listed. I paired it with a gold belt and sewed in some Carolina Herrera cotton tulle in the back opening for some modesty. Hi, I ordered this dress in a medium size. The dress arrived yesterday and took 11 days to arrive to Australia. It looks just amazing! The dress looks the same as in the picture. I ordered a size too big so it's a little big, but only by a cm or so. It's quite long so I am going to have it hemed but that is usual with all dresses, and the straps are a little long so I am also going to have them taken up slightly. However that is all pretty normal stuff for an "off-the-rack" dress and its a simple fix. Its a slightly more peachy-pink colour than the photo, but that may just be my monitor, but still a beautiful colour. The only fault in it is that its a number of layer (lining, tule, satin, chiffon), one of which is a tule but it starts just below the hips. I am quite curvy so it shows slightly where it starts if you look closely, so I am just going to have it removed because it doesn't even need it, it will flow stright down without it. However if you don't have a very curvy figure it would be fine. This also may be fixed by trimming it from the hem, easy to do. P.S: One photo is taken with a flash, one without, the full length photo looks a little orange, its not that colour in real life, its still a soft pink dress. By G ,Aug 2010

Let me just note that prior to encountering this website, I've searched for 4 months in multiple malls for a dress suitable but simple for my sister's wedding but was ultimately disappointed because the dresses I liked did not fit my petite figure. PRICING: When I found this dress, I was very happy because even with custom sizing (an extra $29.99) this dress came to $99.99 only. So the total of the dress including shipping was cheaper than a dress that I could find that may not fit me properly. SHIPPING:The dress, since it was custom made, took a little over two months to arrive at my door. It arrived squished in a surprisingly small box, which will most likely require steam ironing before wear. IMPRESSION:I was very pleasantly surprised with the color I had chosen (chocolate brown), the material (a heavier, thicker satin which looks and feels good), the cutting (it had a very nice flare to it), as well as the details (there is an elastic right below the breast to help keep the tube dress up, it was such a small gesture/detail but made the dress so much better) MOBILITY: A very important thing to consider if you were expected to be walking around all day. The dress, with the help of the elastic below the breast, stayed on surprisingly better than most tube dresses I own, and I did not have to fix it very often. It was a very good length to allow for me to carry a lot of things around, and as it was made of a heavier/thick satin material, did not get stuck on anything at all. IMPROVEMENT:The only fault, if any, was that the cup they had inserted into the dress was too big for my breasts. The fit was still snug but the cup was not at all the same shape/size as my breasts and, to me, looked a bit odd. I've included the picture of it from the side. OVERALL: I was very pleased with the dress still, and it received quite a bit of compliments that night! A tip for custom sizing - I had wanted the dress to be a perfect fit, and because I have a petite figure, I know how easy it would be for dresses to look big on me. I had actually subtracted half an inch~an inch or so from my real measurements and submitted those. The end result was very good, and you can see that in the picture I've attached. Ordered this dress last year for our work's Christmas ball in the shown colour - couldn't believe the quality of the dress and the detail on it when it got here. It fitted absolutely perfectly, as I had ordered it on the made to measure service as I am unusual proportions because of my job and taller than most. Fortunately I did cheat and add a couple of extra inches around the hips, which was useful as it gave me a bit more play in the dress when it came to sitting down! The dress proved very popular with my colleagues, with many of them telling me they wanted to borrow it in future years!!! For anyone considering this dress, I would heartily recommend it if you want the added wow factor, and I would definitley use this service again - just be aware of the additional import tax bill that follows from DHL a month or so later than delivery (think I had to pay about £20 - can't remember exactly but was no more than that). I got seven of these for my bridesmaids in GREEN. It is darker than the picture, and the rhinestones on the straps are big and there are a ton of them. We ended up taking all of them off and sewing the rhinestones on the waist to make some definition. The skirt is shorter than the picture, and the bodice is too long to be empire and too short to go down to the waist. Still, they turned out pretty and looked great. ok, so THANK GOD my friend had already ordered a dress from here for her wedding and was able to "vouch" for this site and their quality. I was all set to order from one of the competitor's site (the "imposter" sites, apparently) but was nervous because they had VERY few reviews there. So about lightinthebox.com I can confidently say they are AWESOME. You always hear "if it sounds to good to be true it usually is" and I was warned by may that if the dresses were this cheap there "must be something wrong with them." I can say, NOPE and NOPE. I ordered my dresses (yes, ES. At this price I ordered a ceremony AND a reception dress) on Friday, May 28th, think I finalized the oder around 9:30 pm. I recieved them yesterday (June 10th). Amazing! So about this dress specifically. It is kind of hard to imagine as Ivory because of the colors of the sample photographed, so I photoshopped it (see photo) before ordering. I read alot about the dresses being a little big in the bust, so I took a chance and ordered a size DOWN. (a 6. Risky, I know) I am sooo glad to report that while snug, it fits! Pretty sure I would have had it taken in if I had ordered the 8. So I think even after I drop a few lbs, it will still fit without having to be altered. The only thing I will need to do (unless I wear reeeealy high platform heels) is take about 3-5" off the length. I am fairly short though (5'4") so you tall gals should be fine. The satin they use is as advertised, it is a nice heavyweight beautiful "bridal" satin. It isn't thing or cheap looking AT ALL (it is seriously like what you'd get from David's, Alfred Angelo, most designer boutiques, etc). The tulle is also nice and fairly soft (not like the scratchy vintage tulle) AND all of the dresses are FULLY lined, so your legs will never have to feel the tulle (and pantyhose, if worn, won't snag on it). I personally don't feel like this dress needs any more petticoats or a hoop skirt, but I guess that's up to you. (It already has like 3 layers under the satin). A couple things to note: 1. The sash shown is sewn into the dress! It isn't pictured this way, but it is. not a big deal, but I was considering using a colored sash, so it just slightly complicated things (I can remove the bow and tie another sash over the existing if I reeeeeally think I need/want it). 2. The black flower's on the top of the bodice are really cheezy and look a little cheap. I will totally be removing them (but then, I knew this before I even ordered). They are strange, and look out of place. But then, they did on the original (Vera) as well. oh, and shipping/packaging. It'll arrive in a smaller box than you'd think. However, they are packing genius's, the dresses come out with very few wrinkles. I ordered 2 dresses, a veil, a shrug, hairpins, headband, and a feather headpiece thing and it shipped in a box approx 20" x 12" 12". The shipping was ridiculously fast. It shipped either Mon the 7th or Tues the 8th (says one thing one place, another another place) and arrive the 10th. SERIOUSLY. A M A Z I N G. Now I can't say that is always goes down like this, but it did for me! They sent me a nice pink garmet pag too. Overall I am completely satisfied with the quality and fit of this dress. If it weren't so damn expensive to ship, I'd order from them all the time! An amazing Vera Wang(ish) for less than $250 (shipped) in 2 weeks, that everyone will think was $1-$2K+. Yes please! The entire Light in the Box Experience was great. I was a little nervous because I ordered the dress in champagne only 5 weeks before the wedding. It arrived in 3 weeks, thankfully. The champagne color was beautiful and the quality of the dress amazing... definitely exceeded my expectations. It arrived a small box just like Lauren and Angel described... folded inside out. Counting the toole, satin and inside petticoat there are about 4 layers. I removed the cheap looking embellishments and bow. The size grid was right on and the dress fit perfectly (ordered a size 4), with the exception of the hem. I let the dress hang for a several days and then took a fairly hot iron to get out the creases from shipping. Because of all the layers it cost around $90 for the hem. Overall, a very good value for my dollar. Once the hem, gown, and shipping were all done, the dress cost me around $300. It looks like a $600-$800 dress from a bridal gown store. I didn't add any extra hoop or petticoat beneath the dress because my wedding was a simple outdoor ceremony at a vineyard, so I wasn't going for a full gown. I received many compliments on my dress and could not have been happier. I would highly recommend Light in the Box. They were very responsive when I had email questions and sent email updates. K - so dress arrived yesterday (delivered within 2 weeks, I'm in Quebec, Canada). Very well made, the upper portion has boning in it which is great for support, but the bottom is a but "puffier" than I would have liked. I did not do the custom sizing, but instead ordered a size bigger (as most of the reviewers recommended) and it is quite big on the top. The "pointed" ends are quite long so I'll have to get a few alterations done, to take it in and to shorten it. However I also had to pay DHL who delivered the parcel a further £20.89 for Customs and VAT charges, which I was less than happy about yesterday! I emailed LightInTheBox about it and read up about it on the internet and discovered that not all parcels get charged for duty and VAT at customs so I’m just unlucky that they checked my parcel and added a charge – it is not a charge that LightBox could have foreseen but it’s worth bearing in mind if you make an order, that you may have to pay a little more for your item when you receive it. When I opened the ordinary looking brown box, I found it’s covered in pretty roses inside and my dress was perfectly packaged. I opened the petticoat first, thinking ‘I thought this was supposed to be hooped, it’s so small’ and then it popped open into it’s three hoops and it’s HUGE, I can’t for the life of me fold it back up and it really is very big! The dress came inside out to protect the front and it’s just stunning. I ordered it in ivory and it’s gorgeous. I will attach pictures also. I agree with Angel’s review that the little black flowers on the top of the bodice look a bit cheesy/silly and I’ll probably take them off too. The quality of the dress is fantastic – there is no way anyone would think you paid less than £600, it’s just so well made. The satin is very good quality. I know this because I ordered a dress from China on Ebay from selecting a picture of a dress I liked and got a very poor imitation for my money. The satin on the LightBox dress is a hundred times better than the polyester satin used on the first dress I bought from China on Ebay. The skirt of the dress is very fine netting on top which hangs perfectly over the satin skirt beneath. There are then layers of thick net beneath the satin, to give it it’s shape, and then a lining skirt too. Personally, I won’t be wearing the petticoat as the dress looks much more ethereal without it and is just seriously huge with the petticoat added in. However, if you want to look like a princess and have a large Cinderella style skirt, then the petticoat will be perfect for you as it gives you a really large ball gown shape. To be honest, the petticoat only cost £17, so it was worth ordering it just to see if I needed it. The satin ribbon on the bodice is sewn really well so that the dress holds it’s shape when you wear it. There is also elastic inside the bodice at the back like a bra strap to hold it in place – very clever. The fit is lovely, slightly too big for me on the bodice but I think that’s more because I measured my chest wrong – you really shouldn’t do it yourself! But the waist and hips are just perfect, and I can definitely take it in slightly on my bust – or get a strapless bra, no problem. All in all, if you are worried about the quality you will receive from LightBox, don’t be. They are different to other sites that offer to make dresses for you because the pictures of the dresses you are viewing are owned by them – they are their designs, whereas other people are showing you an image of a dress that does not belong to them and making a dress a little bit different to the picture to avoid copyright – trust me, I learnt the hard way and wasted £100 on a dress that looked nothing like the picture! I’m so happy that I bought this dress, I just can’t wait to wear it on my big day! Hope this review helps you make up your mind. Good luck everyone.xx By Lauren ,Aug 2010

I was a little apprehencive about ordering my wedding dress off of the internet but I must admit it was a very good choice. I am one of those low maintenance kind of ladies, and I did not try on a single dress before this one arrived at my door and I was floored, as was my seamstress. I wanted something that was not puffy, elegant and sexy all in one, and definitely found it in this dress. The dress is made of quality material, required very little tailoring eventhough I bought the size that would fit my measurements, and made me feel like a princess. I received my Kate Hudson dress yesterday via UPS. I had it 3 day shipped and it was here in 2! Don't be afraid of the small box it comes in.They take wonderful care in wrapping the dress. IT IS PERFECT! You definitely need to go by the size chart they give you... mine was right on the money. I will not need alterations except at the bottom :) It's beautiful! I looks like it cost WAY more than 250 dollars. The time and attention to detail is definitely shown in the making of this dress. I can't say thank you enough to anyone involved in making this dress! I received my dress today! I had it custom measured, so it took about a month to arrive. It's beautiful. The top part is delicately beaded and looks expensive. Hey, I received the dress yesterday and it is absolutely amazing - it looks exactly like the picture, the back is exactly the same as the picture (for those that were wondering!) The lining is double lined, the first layer is like a cotton material, which i guess is to stop the satin from becoming too static and sticking to your legs, and the second layer is made from satin. I got it made in champagne, and it really is a lovely colour so I would definately recommend it! There is a built in bra in the dress, with a separate 'bra strap' concealed undernearth the strip at the back of the dress and there is also boning inside the bodice, which is perfect for keeping the dress up! I'm eloping to Las Vegas to get married. I needed a simple knee length white dress. I was reluctant to buy online for all the obvious reasons. I spent two months trying to find a dress. So, on May 11th, I decided to order it. I had a back-up dress just in case. I got my dress today. It's perfect. It fits like a glove. It's top quality workmanship. The neckline shows that is kinda heart shaped, but it's not, it goes straight across. That is not a problem it is still beautiful. The belt is not attached and there are no loops, but i'm glad because it looks better without a belt. I am so very pleased with my purchase. The sizing is true. I wear a 16W dress and that is what i ordered. It is not flattering to my figure but i don't have a flattering figure LOL. I have pics. My 6yr old Grandson took them so please excuse.
