Velg den riktige aftenkjolen, brudekjolen eller formelle kjolen for din kroppstype og ønskede utseende.
1. A-linje
A-linje silhuetten universelt flatterende og er virkelig en jentes beste venn. Ved å bue seg forsiktig fra skuldrene og nedover, stryker den kurvene snarere enn å klamre seg til dem, for å skape en elegant silhuett.
Er dette stilen for deg? Dersom du er lav gir A-linjen en illusjon av lengde; om du er høy kan den legge til fylde, og om du har kurver du helst vil dekke til, gjør A-linjen det også.
2. Ballkjole eller "Pick Up"
Ballkjolen er den mest tradisjonelle av alle kjolesilhuettene, ballkjolen legger til kurver ved å fremheve midjen og flyte elegant ut i fullt skjørt. Skjørtet er godt til å skjule brede hofter og lager nydelig timeglass figur.
Er dette stilen for deg? Et perfekt valg for formelle eller “eventyr” inspirerte hendelser, ballkjolestilen gjør den til en vidunderlig klassisk brudekjole. Ser fantastisk ut på de fleste kroppstyper.
3. Søyle eller futteral
Figurnære søylekjoler kommer i en rekke stroppeløse og ryggløse stiler. Denne moderne stilen har blitt populær blant bruder som ønsker et elegant- eller strandbryllup.
Er dette stilen for deg? Et elegant valg for alle med brede skuldre eller atletisk kroppsbygning, den kan også forlenge en lav person. Dersom det er visse områder du ikke ønsker å fremheve, er imidlertid denne klengende designen gjerne ikke stilen for deg.
4. Havfrue
Også kjent som trompeten eller “tilpasset og buet”, havfrue kjoler er tilpasset på toppen og buer dramatisk rundt knærne.
Er dette stilen for deg? Havfrue silhuetter fremhever bysten, midjen og hoftene og gir en timeglass figur, slik at den er perfekt til å fremheve dine kurver. Et perfekt valg for et glamorøst kjendisinspirert bryllup.
5. Empire
Empire silhuetten har et livstykke med høy midje like under bysten. Utseende kan enten være mykt eller flytende eller mer strukturert og klassisk, avhengig av stoffet og snittet som er brukt.

For den super frekke bruden, den stadig mer populære mini brudekjolen slutter godt over knærne og er perfekt til å vise frem et par sexy ben.
Er dette stilen for deg? Den passer best for uformelle og utendørs bryllup og er spesielt passende for strandbryllup på sommeren. Like flatterende for høye bruder med lange ben som for lavere bruder som vil se høyere ut på deres spesielle dag.
8. Knelengde
Et annet flott utseende for den uformelle bruden, kanten på denne kjolen slutter like under kneet.
Er dette stilen for deg? Mange lave eller formfulle bruder velger denne stilen for både eleganse og komfort. Best for cocktail bryllupsmottakelser eller bryllup i løpet av sommermånedene.
9. Tea-lengde
Kjoler med tea-lengde har en kant som slutter hvor som helst mellom bunnen av kneet og bunnen av leggen, noe som skaper en elegant og uformell stil. Populær på 1950-tallet, denne stilen er et godt valg for dem som ønsker å legge en vintage touch på deres bryllupsantrekk.
Er dette stilen for deg? Tea-lengde kjoler er ideell til å vise frem dine ben og trekke oppmerksomhet til et par vakre sko! Et populært valg som “kjole nummer to” til å bytte til for din bryllupsmottakelse.
10. Fotsid
Denne fotside kjolens kant er like ved anklene, og viser dermed frem dine føtter og sko. Skjørtet kan enten være fullt eller tilpasset.
Er dette stilen for deg? Flott for bruder som ønsker å presentere seg selv som smart, stilig og moderne. Fordi kanten på dette skjørtet ikke berører bakken, er den også svært ettertraktet til utendørs bryllup eller for bruden som ikke vil at noen skal tråkke på kjolen hennes!
11. Gulvlengde
Bare så vidt lenger enn den fotside brudekjolen, er denne stilens skjørt ikke ment til å feie gulvet, men snarere flyte bare tommer over det. Noen kjoler med gulvlengde kommer med detaljer langs kanten for å fremheve stilen.
Er dette stilen for deg? Snarere enn å ha dine sko og føtter tildekket av kjolen din, kan det å ha dem synlige ofte ‘balansere’ ditt bryllupsantrekk. Hvorfor ikke legge en annen farge til ditt bryllupsantrekk, for eksempel rød, og ha et par sko i den fargen? Gjestene vil bli gledelig overrasket når de ser et par iøynefallende par sko stikke frem når du går ned midtgangen!
12. Feiende slør
Kjoler med feiende slør er for bruder som ønsker å innlemme den tradisjonelle slør funksjonen, men ønsker ikke å bli plaget av et langt slør. Slørene på kjoler med feiende slør er knapt i kontakt med gulvet.
Er dette stilen for deg? For bruder som ønsker en vakker og tradisjonell kjole med et snev av tradisjon.
13. Court-slør
Ved å strekke seg rundt tre fot fra anklene, er court-sløret lengre enn det feiende sløret og kan brukes på de fleste seremonier – formell, semi-formell eller uformell.
Er dette stilen for deg? Ekstremt elegant, court-slør stilen passer for de som planlegger å ha bare en slørbærer eller et slør som er lite nok til at blomsterjenten kan holde det.
14. Kapell slør
Kapell sløret er det mest populære av alle slørlengdene. Det flyter cirka tre til fem fot bak kjolen. En brud som går med kapell slør stilen gjør en dristig uttalelse ved å si “jeg føler meg vakker og spesiell! Dette er MIN dag!”
Er denne stilen for deg? Et slående valg for alle figurer, kapell sløret setter bruden i sentrum for et formelt bryllup.
15. Katedral slør
Kjoler med katedral slør har et brusende slør for formelle bryllup. Det strekker seg fra seks til åtte fot bak kjolen. Også kjent som monarkslør.
Er dette stilen for deg? Denne stilen er den perfekte formelle brudekjolen, og vil med sikkerhet tiltrekke seg oppmerksomhet fra gjestene i kirken og i mottakelsen.
16. Watteau slør
Et enkelt stofflag festet til toppen av kjolen din ved skuldrene eller øverst på ryggen og flyter ned til gulvet, er den definerende karakteristikken på en kjole med watteau-slør. Slørene kan variere i lengde.
Er dette stilen for deg? Ettersom sløret begynner på brudens øvre rygg, gjør denne stilen bruden elegant å se til bakfra. Passer også for damer som ønsker å holde sitt eget slør.
17. Asymmetrisk
Asymmetriske kjoler har forskjellige skredderfunksjoner på den ene siden av kjolen sammenlignet med den andre. En populær asymmetrisk design er å ha kjolekanten kortere foran enn bak. Denne stilen gjør at bruden kan se annerledes ut fra forskjellige vinkler.
Er dette stilen for deg? Passende for bruder som ønsker å kombinere et uformelt utseende med elegansen av en lenger kjolekant på baksiden.

Siden alle våre kjoler er lagd etter bestilling, så er hver kjole sin skreddertid basert på kompleksiteten av designet og sesongforandringer. Hver kjole sin produkt side vil vise en estimert skreddertid kalkulert på disse faktorene. For å være sikker på at du mottar din kjole i tide, vær vennlig og bestill kjolen så tidlig som mulig for å unngå forlenget skreddertid i høysesongene.

Vi forstår at det å bestille en kjole til din spesielle anledning er en viktig oppgave for deg, og våre avbestillingsregler ble laget med tanke på dette. Det er imidlertid viktig å merke seg at våre kjoler er laget etter mål, og straks produksjonsprosessen har startet kan materialene ikke brukes igjen. Våre avbestillingsregler- Bestillinger avbestilt innen 24-timer fra betalingsbekreftelse* er berettiget til full refusjon.
- Bestillinger avbestilt 1-3 dager etter betalingsbekreftelse er berettiget til en delvis refusjon bestående av de totale fraktkostnadene og 50 % av kjøpesummen for produktet.

Retur for bytte eller refusjon
Din tilfredshet er av største viktighet for oss. Vi oppfordrer deg til å kontrollere og forsikre deg om at kjolen har blitt laget i henhold til dine bestillingsspesifikasjoner straks pakken din ankommer. Prøv kjolen uten å fjerne merkelappene, endre eller vaske kjolen.
Hvis du returnerer eller bytter kjoler eller tilbehør, vennligst sørg for at de er i opprinnelig tilstand – ubrukt, uvasket, uskadet, ren fri for lo og hår og med merkelappene intakt og festet på.
Defekte, ødelagte eller feilsendte varer
Du er berettiget til full refusjon av kjøpesummen for produktet pluss fraktkostnader for defekte, ødelagte eller feilsendte varer. Dersom du tror varene ble skadet under frakt, har kundeservice behov for bilder som viser den ødelagte emballasjen samt dokumentasjon på "bevis på skade" fra fraktselskapet for å behandle refusjonen.
Problemer med størrelse eller passform
Ettersom alle våre kjoler er håndsydd og tilpasset av skredder, kan de ferdige kjolene avvike med omtrent (1) tomme i hver retning av de spesifiserte målene. For å sørge for at kjolen vil passe perfekt, lager våre skreddere alle kjolene med ekstra stoff i sømmene slik at mindre endringer enkelt kan gjøres.
Kjolen er ikke i den størrelsen du bestilte
Skulle størrelsen på din kjole avvike fra dine bestillingsspesifikasjoner med mer enn en tomme, oppfordrer vi deg til å finne en lokal skredder som kan foreta justeringer, og refunderer deg gladelig inntil 100 % av kjøpesummen for produktet i skredderkostnader. Dersom du velger dette alternativet, husk å be om en kvittering fra skredderen, ettersom en kopi må vedlegges når du ber om tilbakebetaling.
Kjolen er i størrelsen du bestilte, men den passer ikke
Kjoler som ikke passer skikkelig, men som er i samsvar med dine bestillingsspesifikasjoner, kan ikke returneres eller byttes.

Gode spiler lages av myke og fleksible materialer, så pass opp for altfor harde spiler, da det vil se rart ut i din kjole og muligens skade kroppen din.
Hva er fordelene med spiler?
Mange designere bruker spiler i de fleste stilene av brudekjoler og formelle kjoler. I motsetning til korsetter, som jobber for å omforme din kropp, tjener spiler ganske enkelt til å lage kjolen i samsvar med din kropp, noe som får den til å passe som hånd i hanske.

Hvorfor så lenge? Vi lager kjolene fra bunnen av, noe som gjør at det kan ta lengre tid før de kommer frem enn det du er vant med fra andre online selgere. Tiden det tar å skreddersy brudekjolene er 13-15 virkedager og for kjoler til spesielle anledninger og kjoler til bryllupsfester tar det 7-9 virkedager, pluss en frakttid på 3-8 virkedager (eksakte frakttider er avhengig av fraktselskapet og fraktmetoden som velges i kassen).

Hvorfor rens?
Rens hjelper farger med å holde seg klare og bevarer skjønnheten og glansen til våre sateng eller sateng-liknende stoffer.
Mange av våre kjoler har delikat utsmykning, perler, broderi og annen utsmykning som kan bli skadet av maskin- eller håndvask.
Rens minimerer behovet for å bruke tørketrommel, strykejern og dampstrykejern til å fjerne skrukker. Varme kan skade stoffet i våre kjoler.
Flekker:
Uhell forekommer, men søl trenger ikke ødelegge din vakre kjole eller kvelden din. Hvis de behandles umiddelbart kan mange flekker fjernes og din kjole vil være like god som ny.
Rens av flekker:
-Alle våre kjoler skal kun renses.

Behandling av flekker på et arrangement:
Dersom en flekk forekommer midt i arrangementet ditt, er det ikke sikkert du kan ta den på et renseri med en gang. Her er alt du trenger å vite for å redusere skaden og fortsette kvelden din.
-Tørt forsiktig av overflødige deler av flekken. Hvis det er rester, skrap de av med en sløv kniv.
Behandle flekker hjemme:
-Gni aldri, da det kan spre flekken eller skyve flekken lenger inn i stoffet.
-Bruk en ren hvit klut til å tørke. Unngå papirlommetørkler og papirhåndklær som kan etterlate rester.
- Ikke bruk såper eller forbehandlede kjemikalier på kjolen dersom du vil ta den til et renseri senere, da kjemikaliene kan reagere og ødelegge stoffet.
-Oljebaserte flekker bør stenkes med en absorber som babypulver eller maisstivelse. La den ligge i 5-10 minutter, børst den så fullstendig av og tørk med en klut. Rens så snart som mulig. Vanlige oljebaserte flekker er: sminke, fett eller smør, deodorant, bensin eller bodylotion.
-For flekker som ikke er oljebaserte, plasser en hvit klut under flekken og tørk på flekken med en annen hvit klut som har vært dyppet i kaldt vann. Vanlige flekker som ikke er oljebasert er: juice, kaffe/te, kroppsvæsker, rødvin, gjørme, blekk, barnemat/morsmelkerstatning.
-Bløtlegg vanskelige flekker i kaldt vann til de kommer ut (inntil 24-timer). Resterende flekker bør tas med til et renseri.
-Ikke stryk, damp eller varm opp tørre flekkede stoffer, da varmen vil få flekken til å sette seg.
Hvis du bestemmer deg for å behandle en flekk selv, vær ekstremt forsiktig og skånsom. Husk at eventuelle flekkfjernere eller vaskemidler du bruker kan reagere med rensekjemikalier dersom du bestemmer deg for å rense den senere. Mens oksygenbaserte vaskemidler og milde vaskemidler kan fjerne flekker som ikke er oljebasert fra polyester, håndteres oljebaserte flekker best av profesjonelle renseri.
-Bruk aldri blekemidler eller flekkfjernere med blekemidler på våre kjoler.
-Følg alle instruksjonene på emballasjen til flekkfjerneren.
-Prøv først flekkfjerneren på et usynlig område.
-Blanding av flekkfjernere kan ødelegge stoffet.
-Tørt forsiktig av overflødige deler av flekken med en ren hvit klut, vær forsiktig så du unngår å gni den innover.
-Plasser en annen klut under flekken for å fange rester.
-Jobb flekkfjerneren fra kantene og innover slik at flekken fjernes over til kluten eller duken under. Unngå å tørke utover og spre flekken.
-Skyll alt vaskemiddel eller flekkfjerner av stoffet etterpå.
-Straks det er skylt, rull vått stoff i et håndkle og legg det så flatt for å tørke. Ikke vrikk eller vri.
Skrukker:
Våre stoffer blir ikke skrukkete lett, men hvis de blir det, og det gjør de, er det å henge opp stoffet ofte alt som trengs. Forsiktig stryking eller damping på lav varme kan trygt være med på å rette ut eventuelle gjenstridige skrukker.
-Hvis kjolen fortsatt har skrukker eller flere timer på en kleshenger, prøv å henge den på baderommet under en varm dusj for mild damp. Pass på at selve kjolen ikke blir våt.
- Mer gjenstridige skrukker kan fjernes med et varmt strykejern. Unngå de varmeste innstillingene da de kan skade fibrene.
-Hvis du bruker damp, bruk destillert vann og rengjør eventuelle rustpartikler fra dampstrykejernet før bruk.
-Det kan være lurt å prøve strykejernet eller dampstrykejernet på en umerkelig flekk først, eller legg en ren klut mellom strykejernet og kjolen.
Bevaring/vedlikehold:
Våre stoffer er ikke valgt bare for deres utseende og hvordan de føles, men også for deres holdbarhet. Med litt pleie vil din kjole holde seg vakker i mange år og mange spesielle begivenheter.
-Det er en god ide å rense kjolene etter hvert bruk. Kroppsoljer, deodorant rester og ubemerkede flekker som sitter igjen i kjolen, kan sette seg og misfarge stoffet over tid.
-Hvis kjolen ikke er for tung kan den uten problemer henge i en klespose i flere måneder.
-Hvis du henger opp en tung kjole, vurder å drapere skjørtet over en annen henger for å ta vekten vekk fra skulderstroppene.
-Kjoler som er tunge med perler eller broderi kan starte å revne i stykker dersom de blir hengende i mange år. Lagre disse flatt, helst i en boks med syrefritt silkepapir eller et hvitt laken.

Both my wife and I wore this same dress to our same sex ceronmony in Jan 2011. We had them custom made for us and the dresses fit almost close to perfect with the measurements we gave. We had the straps slightly ammended in Australia. But other than that we were extremely happy with how well the dressers were made. We did attach a coloured train to the exsisting train to individualise them to our own personalities which enhanced the look of the dress as well. The train was detactable which was perfect to take off for our reception. Light in the Box were fast with shipping and were excellent with all there communication and updates. I would definitely recommend Light in the Box. Measure yourself correctly with a bit extra space more than anything. Our dressmaker was impressed with the workmanship for the price. while my dress DID take quite a while to arrive, when it did, i fell in love with it! I wore it to my prom and got soo many compliments on it. I did need to have it altered a bit. the train was quite long but the seamstress added a small button to the back so it could be busseled because the train was too gorgeous to remove completely! the bead work was very nice as well. I bought this dress in sky blue for my husband Marine Corp Ball. I'm 5'3'' with a 35 1/2 inch bust 26 inch waist and 36 inch hip. I was so afraid the the size 6 would be too small, but I bought on a whirl hoping that if it was I could loose a few inches before I had to squeeze into it, but it was perfect fit. The only issue I had was cheap looking sleeves which seems to be the most thing people complain about. I also had an issue with it being to long by about 6 inches. I tried on 4 inch heels and I was still stepping on it so I got it altered which costed another 40 bucks since it is chiffon. The color matched perfectly to the swatchs. I was thinking it would be a little dark so I bought the sky blue, but I wish I had bought in darker blue now because it made me look even more pale than I am which made me self conscious, but other than that I'd say it was a great experience. The shipping was pretty quick after it was shipped. It took a total of about 3 weeks to get it and 5 or 6 days to get it in the mail after I received the "it shipped" notice. I bought this dress for my wedding in April. It arrived in under a month which I thought was very good. I did'nt get a dressmaker to fit me, I did it myself, but I believe it to be very accurate as I measured myself about 6 times to be sure! Unfortunatly when the dress arrived it was about 2 sizes too big for me. That is quite a big difference so I don't know how it went wrong. But better too big than too small I say! When buying the dress I asked one of the online sales reps what colour the sash was on the dress pictured and was told pink. However the pink was a sickly lolly pink which didn't match the ivory of the dress. I really wanted a vintage dusky pink colour so I bought the fabric colour I wanted and set out to find a dress maker. It was hard to find a dressmaker that would do a good job for a good price but in the end I found a clothing alterations shop who was awesome. I had 3 fitings and had the dress resized to fit me perfectly and also made some changes to the design for $300 NZ. So all up I paid $700 NZ for the dress, which I was extremely happy with for a dress I will only wear once! The changes to the style that we made were: -Attaching a hook under the zip where the train could be hooked up when I was dancing etc. (I highly recomend this as it looked realy lovely up aswell as down) -Making the train slightly shorter at the sides as it didnt sit particulary well when hooked up -Made the dress tighter at the thigh all the way down to the knee so it fish tailed more as I didn't like the A-Frame style -Replaced the sash for a different colour and made it tie up at the back -added in bra inserts so that I didn't have to wear a bra You could tell the fabrics were not high quality but only by looking up very close and the beading on this dress is quite lovely Buying this dress online was a real risk but one I am happy I took. It can be stressful when you can't try a dress on before you buy it but I think if you don't hold high expectations that the dress will be perfect when it arrives and order it early so you have enough time to fix it up then it is worth your while, especially if you don't want to pay the big money for a dress in a shop. There was one part of the dress that I need to get fix, part of the dress was overlapping the flowers on bottom, but it's nothing big. In my opinion, the dress needs a mermaid petticoat. In the picture that I attached I put a regular petticoat under the wedding dress, that's why it looks so big. I custom ordered this dress in ivory and it took just over 2 weeks to arrive....I live in Oregon....The only thing I didn't care for was the straps they just looked cheap on such a beautiful dress. I took a pair of scissors and carefully cut them off. As soon as I did that we all thought wow! Fit perfectly. Married August 7th 2010 in Vegas. the bride ordered us GOLD color. when i saw the dress for the first time, I thought the color looks a greenish. It was not love at the first sight. It has self padded bra and the workmanship was pretty good. I got a size 4, and the waist and bust fits a little tight for me, but it’s all good because it made me correct my posture. The other petite bridesmaid in the photo ordered a size 2, she think it’s a little big, but it’s not her fault because size 2 is the smallest size they have. if you have curvy or bigger chest, I would recommend to order a size up. My wedding was on July 2 in my backyard. I wanted something comfortable but elegant. This dress was absolutely perfect!. The material and the actual make of it are stunning. My mother said that you could probably wear it inside out. I sent in my measurements, and it fit like a glove. I purchased this dress back in May for my wedding in August. I was more than pleased with my purchase. I recommend that you pay the extra to get the dress tailored to your size. I did, and the dress fit perfectly. I got so many compliments on the dress and you can't beat paying less than $300 for the extra tailoring, and shipping included. I was very happy with this dress. I ordered it for my senior prom and it was gorgeous. As usual, I procrastinated and waited until only 15 days before my prom to order the dress.. my prom was on May 1 and I ordered the dress on April 16. It came the exact day I expected it to come (April 26). I was scared to open the box because I have never ordered any type of clothing online before, so I was afraid that it might not be what I expected. I was wrong. The dress looks exactly like it does in the picture. It has beautiful beading and flows beautifully. The fabric quality was just as I expected. It has three layers of fabric which makes for a beautiful flowing look (the bottom layer is a kindof thicker fabric, the middle is a silky fabric, and the top is a sheer flowy fabric. All of my friends and my boyfriend loved the dress too, in fact my friend is going to borrow it next weekend to wear to another school's prom she was invited to. This dress is a steal! Hey people, I uploaded pictures of the dress. It is a european size 36 and fits perfectly. Material is rather tulle than organza, but is nicely fluffy and layery. The material is also rather transparent, that is why I wear a bra underneath. I ordered several dresses, all are very nicely made, excellent craftsmanship. I opted for a different dress, and don′t need this one anymore. If anyone is interestes in buying, I would give it away for 120 dollar plus shipping to your country from germany. It is great that the dress is made so that it can be altered, the quality is great. The top has good lining which assures great shape without need for a bra. Hi, I ordered this dress March 21 and it arrived today 6th May, just in time for my formal which was on the 8th May. I ordered the dress in black and I would highly recommend black to anyone interested in this dress. It looks absolutely stunning on and when it came to the night of the formal I received endless complements (and am still being talked about at school to this day). My only suggestions would be to order it in HEAPS OF TIME, and to be made tailored to you (I had to get the dress slightly altered around the waist area when it arrived. Hope this helps girls!! I was looking for something with sleeves in a reasonable price range and came across this dress. I ordered 10 total in 2 colors and several sizes. The blue and the lavender for alternating colors in the bridal party. Here are a couple of pictures. There are small sleeves that you cannot see in the websites picture here. you can see what I'm referring to in the picture of my daughter in both colors that I'm posting. We ended up cutting the sleeves off all 10 dresses. I'm very pleased with the blue (turquoise) color. It's very bright. The fabric is not soft like chiffon but still very good. Light and comfortable. Amazing dress! This dress completely exceeded my expectations. The embroidery is phenominal. The dress is covered in intricate detailing. The pictures do not do it justice. All the embroidery around the midsection is completely emersed in bead work. It comes with a very nice breathable garment bag as well. I did the exact size and it is a perfect fit. Im a larger woman, about a size 14-16 normally. The dress is amazing regardless of size. I haven't figured out how to tie the train up for the reception yet, but i'm sure i will think of something. This dress is a complete steal at 229$. I saw similar dresses retail at more then 3000$. I came across this dress looking for something with straps vs the 98% of strapless dresses right now. so i ordered my dress and it took a total of TWO MONTHS to be made and shipped to me. luckily it made its way to my doorstep a month before prom! i ordered the dress in grape and put in my custom measurements (which were NOT my measurements because i had to get A LOT of work done to the dress!). when i opened the package, i took out the dress and saw that it had a TWO FOOT LONG TRAIN. the waist of the dress was too small and i had to get the train cut off and a gusset put in on both sides and the zipper changed. after two weeks of work and $150 spent, the dress was perfect! before you buy, READ THE REVIEWS! hopefully you won't be in the same situation as i was! I wore this dress for my wedding 3 months ago. I loved it, I was so impressed with the quality as soon as I received it! Only thing I didnt take into account was the fact that because its shipped and packed into a box, it was creasy when I took it out of the box however once I had it steamed it looked stunning. Only other thing I would change is getting it made to size instead of the standard size that I chose because it was a little bit to long for me, but you hardly noticed at the wedding. The quality of the stiching and material of the dress is great, the boning is in all the right places, the details and sequins on the front are gorgeous. At first I was hesitant to buying a wedding dress online and from another country plus I hadn't heard anything about this website but after reading other reviews on the site I saw that people had good luck, so for under $300 I went for it and I am SOOOO glad I did! This dress is absolutely stunning and looks very similar to the picture above. The only thing that I will alter is the puff on the shoulder. It's smaller and lower than pictured and I looove that about the dress. This will be an easy fix as I am not worried about it! i ordered this dress on 7.5.10 and it arived on the 4.6.10. i was a bit worried as the box was so small. i ordered it for my neice and daughter as thy are going to be my flower girls in july. once i opened the box i was so pleased. the dresses are so beautifull and look just like they discribed. i do recomend that you order made to mesure or a few sizes biger as my daughter is 6 she's a bit tall for her age so i ordered usa size 8 and it fits perfect. its easer to have the dress taken in rather then buy a new on because they dont fit! im very happy with the dresses and look forward to ordering more xx By Clearheels ,Jun 2010

I have always dreamed to have Audrey's dress for my wedding and here it has arived to me within 10 days of ordering it!! White, simple, timeless - utterly beautiful :) The dress and the veil I have ordered came in a middle sized box printed inside with flowers and a pink zipper cover for it. Everything was nicely packed. As for the quality, a whole dress is well made. I still can't believe for such a little price! I chose size 2 since my measurements are exact and the padded bodice is tight, especially underneath the arms (not too tight though). It's more like well-fitting :) Ballet-type skirt has many layers and it's just perfect. I can't wait to wear it at the wedding day! I'm certainly going to order one more dress for other occasion. I ordered this dress in a standard size UK 8 and was surprised at how perfectly it fitted for my prom! I ordered it in 'light sky blue' and the colour was exactly what i wanted. It did need to be taken up alot and the train was very long so i would definately recommend having it altered so it can be attached to the dress, so your not holding it up all the time, but overall i loved it :)! I'm eloping to Las Vegas to get married. I needed a simple knee length white dress. I was reluctant to buy online for all the obvious reasons. I spent two months trying to find a dress. So, on May 11th, I decided to order it. I had a back-up dress just in case. I got my dress today. It's perfect. It fits like a glove. It's top quality workmanship. The neckline shows that is kinda heart shaped, but it's not, it goes straight across. That is not a problem it is still beautiful. The belt is not attached and there are no loops, but i'm glad because it looks better without a belt. I am so very pleased with my purchase. The sizing is true. I wear a 16W dress and that is what i ordered. It is not flattering to my figure but i don't have a flattering figure LOL. I have pics. My 6yr old Grandson took them so please excuse. I brought it in Dark Navy, and the dress looks just like the one Serena wears on Gossip Girl (the dress seems darker on Gossip Girl than the one on the picture). I got a size 2 and it's a little too big, although the measurements were exactly like mine. The delivery time was ok, it took a month to get the dress to Germany. hey, i have ordered this dress in Burgundy and it arrived, as they said, 6 weeks later. i have to say i am really satisfied with it, I think it is really well made. the dress is longer i expected but i talked to a stylist and she explained to me that with that sort of cut, the shorter the dress is, the larger you appear to be. so it is better to have this dress full length, as it is. here are two pictures i took for you to see. i really recommand you this dress, it is absolutely beautiful. i am going to wear it at my prom. I ordered my dress on June 5th and received it today, June 23rd :o) (For references' sake, I live on the East Coast of Canada). My boyfriend and I are eloping to Florida in October for a beach wedding and I fell in love with this dress....and didn't read the million awful reviews out there until AFTER I had ordered it, so I was extremely nervous about it. I got it today and I have to say, I am VERY impressed with my $99 dress, as were my parents and older brother. It is built so sturdy, with lots of under layering and boning on the corset, not to mention a built in bra which is incredibly important for bigger chested ladies like myself in a strapless. I wore this dress in 'lilac' to my school ball recently and I loved it - wish I could wear it again! It did take a while to arrive (5 weeks) so I was really worried that it wouldn't arrive in time but the shipping was amazingly fast. Unfortunately it had a really long train (like the other reviews have said) which cost alot to be removed by another seamstress. I think the silver sequins/beading looked nice with the lilac and I didn't find it tacky. I bought one dress as a test for my bridesmaid, with the idea of buying the rest of the dresses if the first one worked out. I was SO thrilled when I saw the pictures of my sister wearing the dress and looking stunning! The boning, ruffles, zipper seams, were all perfect! Since she ordered a standard size, it was slightly tight around the middle, so she will just get it altered a little around the waist. Still, it is a small fee to get it altered compared to the full value of the dress. It's made of heavy, beautifully smooth satin fabric, and she is thinking of altering it more after the wedding to turn it into a cute little cocktail dress. It is also really long in the skirt - because my sister is pretty short - but getting it shortened is tons easier than getting it lengthened! Another thing - some people would think chocolate brown an odd color for a bridesmaid dress, but I LOVE chocolate brown, and it's one of the colors for my wedding - and though I'm biased - I think it looks absolutely beautiful! We bought a custom sized & tailored dress of this type in ivory colour (not green as seen in the pic). We are absolutely satisfied with both the service and the dress itself. Everything was just as requested (colour, material, shape, style, size). I know many people are afraid of buying their wedding dress from a webshop (and from China) but it's so simple and fun. You measure parts of your body following the simple guidelines of lightinthebox and they produce a custom made dress for you - it's not that you must fit into a dress pre-made following a general sizechart. We made the order from Hungary (not close to China, indeed :), and shipping was fine (with DHL) - it takes a good while for the package to be shipped if you want a tailor made dress as we did but if you count with the maximum number of days promised/estimated by lightinthebox, you'll be on time for sure. The only difference in the parameters of the dress here and in real life was its weight. The whole box (which included this dress + a pair of shoes for the dress) was pretty small and weighed not more than 0.5 kg (!). And even better, the dress was not creased at all due to its material. I was so nervous buying dresses from so far away but the dresses here in the UK are all made in China and shipped to bridal shops anyway so I decided to cut out the middle man. I am more than glad I did. Firstly, the fact that - for the small extra charge you can have dresses made to measure - means a saving of at least £40-£60 per dress if it had to be altered here in the UK. I had all 3 of my adult bridesmaids dresses made and they are a beautiful fit. Just the quality you would get in any bridal shop. Supported bust and lining. My size 14 and 18 bridesmaids are both very happy with the fit. I had to change my 3rd bridesmaid and so had to take the 3rd dress to be altered for the new bridesmaid. The bridal shop alteration has only cost me £40 as the dress has been made in such a way that it was a simple job to do. The alteration lady even commented on the quality of the dress. If you are worried about the measurements just stick to the website's measurement advice. My bridesmaids are wearing kitten heeled shoes but I think if they were going to wear high heels they would have needed a little extra length. I ordered Burgundy all 3 in completely different sizes and they are absolutely gorgeous. I am so happy with them. Plus even with the chinese new year holiday (their only one all year) I received them with fully trackable DHL courier in very good time. I emailed customer service so many times to check on them and they were always polite, helpful and quick to reply. I wish UK companies were so good in customer service in all honesty! I bought this for my sister-in law's wedding in Dark Navy--received it super quickly (less than 2 weeks) and am really happy with it. I am VERY very picky and usually would only buy a designer dress- but totally fell in love with this. Quality was amazing--tons of layers, excellent fabric, perfect color match, measurements exactly as listed. I paired it with a gold belt and sewed in some Carolina Herrera cotton tulle in the back opening for some modesty. Hi, I ordered this dress in a medium size. The dress arrived yesterday and took 11 days to arrive to Australia. It looks just amazing! The dress looks the same as in the picture. I ordered a size too big so it's a little big, but only by a cm or so. It's quite long so I am going to have it hemed but that is usual with all dresses, and the straps are a little long so I am also going to have them taken up slightly. However that is all pretty normal stuff for an "off-the-rack" dress and its a simple fix. Its a slightly more peachy-pink colour than the photo, but that may just be my monitor, but still a beautiful colour. The only fault in it is that its a number of layer (lining, tule, satin, chiffon), one of which is a tule but it starts just below the hips. I am quite curvy so it shows slightly where it starts if you look closely, so I am just going to have it removed because it doesn't even need it, it will flow stright down without it. However if you don't have a very curvy figure it would be fine. This also may be fixed by trimming it from the hem, easy to do. P.S: One photo is taken with a flash, one without, the full length photo looks a little orange, its not that colour in real life, its still a soft pink dress. By G ,Aug 2010

Let me just note that prior to encountering this website, I've searched for 4 months in multiple malls for a dress suitable but simple for my sister's wedding but was ultimately disappointed because the dresses I liked did not fit my petite figure. PRICING: When I found this dress, I was very happy because even with custom sizing (an extra $29.99) this dress came to $99.99 only. So the total of the dress including shipping was cheaper than a dress that I could find that may not fit me properly. SHIPPING:The dress, since it was custom made, took a little over two months to arrive at my door. It arrived squished in a surprisingly small box, which will most likely require steam ironing before wear. IMPRESSION:I was very pleasantly surprised with the color I had chosen (chocolate brown), the material (a heavier, thicker satin which looks and feels good), the cutting (it had a very nice flare to it), as well as the details (there is an elastic right below the breast to help keep the tube dress up, it was such a small gesture/detail but made the dress so much better) MOBILITY: A very important thing to consider if you were expected to be walking around all day. The dress, with the help of the elastic below the breast, stayed on surprisingly better than most tube dresses I own, and I did not have to fix it very often. It was a very good length to allow for me to carry a lot of things around, and as it was made of a heavier/thick satin material, did not get stuck on anything at all. IMPROVEMENT:The only fault, if any, was that the cup they had inserted into the dress was too big for my breasts. The fit was still snug but the cup was not at all the same shape/size as my breasts and, to me, looked a bit odd. I've included the picture of it from the side. OVERALL: I was very pleased with the dress still, and it received quite a bit of compliments that night! A tip for custom sizing - I had wanted the dress to be a perfect fit, and because I have a petite figure, I know how easy it would be for dresses to look big on me. I had actually subtracted half an inch~an inch or so from my real measurements and submitted those. The end result was very good, and you can see that in the picture I've attached. Ordered this dress last year for our work's Christmas ball in the shown colour - couldn't believe the quality of the dress and the detail on it when it got here. It fitted absolutely perfectly, as I had ordered it on the made to measure service as I am unusual proportions because of my job and taller than most. Fortunately I did cheat and add a couple of extra inches around the hips, which was useful as it gave me a bit more play in the dress when it came to sitting down! The dress proved very popular with my colleagues, with many of them telling me they wanted to borrow it in future years!!! For anyone considering this dress, I would heartily recommend it if you want the added wow factor, and I would definitley use this service again - just be aware of the additional import tax bill that follows from DHL a month or so later than delivery (think I had to pay about £20 - can't remember exactly but was no more than that). I got seven of these for my bridesmaids in GREEN. It is darker than the picture, and the rhinestones on the straps are big and there are a ton of them. We ended up taking all of them off and sewing the rhinestones on the waist to make some definition. The skirt is shorter than the picture, and the bodice is too long to be empire and too short to go down to the waist. Still, they turned out pretty and looked great. ok, so THANK GOD my friend had already ordered a dress from here for her wedding and was able to "vouch" for this site and their quality. I was all set to order from one of the competitor's site (the "imposter" sites, apparently) but was nervous because they had VERY few reviews there. So about lightinthebox.com I can confidently say they are AWESOME. You always hear "if it sounds to good to be true it usually is" and I was warned by may that if the dresses were this cheap there "must be something wrong with them." I can say, NOPE and NOPE. I ordered my dresses (yes, ES. At this price I ordered a ceremony AND a reception dress) on Friday, May 28th, think I finalized the oder around 9:30 pm. I recieved them yesterday (June 10th). Amazing! So about this dress specifically. It is kind of hard to imagine as Ivory because of the colors of the sample photographed, so I photoshopped it (see photo) before ordering. I read alot about the dresses being a little big in the bust, so I took a chance and ordered a size DOWN. (a 6. Risky, I know) I am sooo glad to report that while snug, it fits! Pretty sure I would have had it taken in if I had ordered the 8. So I think even after I drop a few lbs, it will still fit without having to be altered. The only thing I will need to do (unless I wear reeeealy high platform heels) is take about 3-5" off the length. I am fairly short though (5'4") so you tall gals should be fine. The satin they use is as advertised, it is a nice heavyweight beautiful "bridal" satin. It isn't thing or cheap looking AT ALL (it is seriously like what you'd get from David's, Alfred Angelo, most designer boutiques, etc). The tulle is also nice and fairly soft (not like the scratchy vintage tulle) AND all of the dresses are FULLY lined, so your legs will never have to feel the tulle (and pantyhose, if worn, won't snag on it). I personally don't feel like this dress needs any more petticoats or a hoop skirt, but I guess that's up to you. (It already has like 3 layers under the satin). A couple things to note: 1. The sash shown is sewn into the dress! It isn't pictured this way, but it is. not a big deal, but I was considering using a colored sash, so it just slightly complicated things (I can remove the bow and tie another sash over the existing if I reeeeeally think I need/want it). 2. The black flower's on the top of the bodice are really cheezy and look a little cheap. I will totally be removing them (but then, I knew this before I even ordered). They are strange, and look out of place. But then, they did on the original (Vera) as well. oh, and shipping/packaging. It'll arrive in a smaller box than you'd think. However, they are packing genius's, the dresses come out with very few wrinkles. I ordered 2 dresses, a veil, a shrug, hairpins, headband, and a feather headpiece thing and it shipped in a box approx 20" x 12" 12". The shipping was ridiculously fast. It shipped either Mon the 7th or Tues the 8th (says one thing one place, another another place) and arrive the 10th. SERIOUSLY. A M A Z I N G. Now I can't say that is always goes down like this, but it did for me! They sent me a nice pink garmet pag too. Overall I am completely satisfied with the quality and fit of this dress. If it weren't so damn expensive to ship, I'd order from them all the time! An amazing Vera Wang(ish) for less than $250 (shipped) in 2 weeks, that everyone will think was $1-$2K+. Yes please! The entire Light in the Box Experience was great. I was a little nervous because I ordered the dress in champagne only 5 weeks before the wedding. It arrived in 3 weeks, thankfully. The champagne color was beautiful and the quality of the dress amazing... definitely exceeded my expectations. It arrived a small box just like Lauren and Angel described... folded inside out. Counting the toole, satin and inside petticoat there are about 4 layers. I removed the cheap looking embellishments and bow. The size grid was right on and the dress fit perfectly (ordered a size 4), with the exception of the hem. I let the dress hang for a several days and then took a fairly hot iron to get out the creases from shipping. Because of all the layers it cost around $90 for the hem. Overall, a very good value for my dollar. Once the hem, gown, and shipping were all done, the dress cost me around $300. It looks like a $600-$800 dress from a bridal gown store. I didn't add any extra hoop or petticoat beneath the dress because my wedding was a simple outdoor ceremony at a vineyard, so I wasn't going for a full gown. I received many compliments on my dress and could not have been happier. I would highly recommend Light in the Box. They were very responsive when I had email questions and sent email updates. K - so dress arrived yesterday (delivered within 2 weeks, I'm in Quebec, Canada). Very well made, the upper portion has boning in it which is great for support, but the bottom is a but "puffier" than I would have liked. I did not do the custom sizing, but instead ordered a size bigger (as most of the reviewers recommended) and it is quite big on the top. The "pointed" ends are quite long so I'll have to get a few alterations done, to take it in and to shorten it. I took a chance and ordered this beautiful dress on 11th June 2010 and it arrived on my doorstep yesterday, 2nd July. Very quick indeed. It really is utterly amazing how they pack so much into such a small box! I ordered this dress and the recommended petticoat, a ring pillow and a garter, total cost £190. However I also had to pay DHL who delivered the parcel a further £20.89 for Customs and VAT charges, which I was less than happy about yesterday! I emailed LightInTheBox about it and read up about it on the internet and discovered that not all parcels get charged for duty and VAT at customs so I’m just unlucky that they checked my parcel and added a charge – it is not a charge that LightBox could have foreseen but it’s worth bearing in mind if you make an order, that you may have to pay a little more for your item when you receive it. When I opened the ordinary looking brown box, I found it’s covered in pretty roses inside and my dress was perfectly packaged. I opened the petticoat first, thinking ‘I thought this was supposed to be hooped, it’s so small’ and then it popped open into it’s three hoops and it’s HUGE, I can’t for the life of me fold it back up and it really is very big! The dress came inside out to protect the front and it’s just stunning. I ordered it in ivory and it’s gorgeous. I will attach pictures also. I agree with Angel’s review that the little black flowers on the top of the bodice look a bit cheesy/silly and I’ll probably take them off too. The quality of the dress is fantastic – there is no way anyone would think you paid less than £600, it’s just so well made. The satin is very good quality. I know this because I ordered a dress from China on Ebay from selecting a picture of a dress I liked and got a very poor imitation for my money. The satin on the LightBox dress is a hundred times better than the polyester satin used on the first dress I bought from China on Ebay. The skirt of the dress is very fine netting on top which hangs perfectly over the satin skirt beneath. There are then layers of thick net beneath the satin, to give it it’s shape, and then a lining skirt too. Personally, I won’t be wearing the petticoat as the dress looks much more ethereal without it and is just seriously huge with the petticoat added in. However, if you want to look like a princess and have a large Cinderella style skirt, then the petticoat will be perfect for you as it gives you a really large ball gown shape. To be honest, the petticoat only cost £17, so it was worth ordering it just to see if I needed it. The satin ribbon on the bodice is sewn really well so that the dress holds it’s shape when you wear it. There is also elastic inside the bodice at the back like a bra strap to hold it in place – very clever. The fit is lovely, slightly too big for me on the bodice but I think that’s more because I measured my chest wrong – you really shouldn’t do it yourself! But the waist and hips are just perfect, and I can definitely take it in slightly on my bust – or get a strapless bra, no problem. All in all, if you are worried about the quality you will receive from LightBox, don’t be. They are different to other sites that offer to make dresses for you because the pictures of the dresses you are viewing are owned by them – they are their designs, whereas other people are showing you an image of a dress that does not belong to them and making a dress a little bit different to the picture to avoid copyright – trust me, I learnt the hard way and wasted £100 on a dress that looked nothing like the picture! I was a little apprehencive about ordering my wedding dress off of the internet but I must admit it was a very good choice. I bought this for my Wedding. It was Beautiful!!!! I am one of those low maintenance kind of ladies, and I did not try on a single dress before this one arrived at my door and I was floored, as was my seamstress. I wanted something that was not puffy, elegant and sexy all in one, and definitely found it in this dress. The dress is made of quality material, required very little tailoring eventhough I bought the size that would fit my measurements, and made me feel like a princess. I received my Kate Hudson dress yesterday via UPS. I had it 3 day shipped and it was here in 2! Don't be afraid of the small box it comes in.They take wonderful care in wrapping the dress. IT IS PERFECT! You definitely need to go by the size chart they give you... mine was right on the money. I will not need alterations except at the bottom :) It's beautiful! I looks like it cost WAY more than 250 dollars. The time and attention to detail is definitely shown in the making of this dress. I can't say thank you enough to anyone involved in making this dress! I'm so excited! Don't be afraid to order from this company... you will not be disappointed! I received my dress today! I had it custom measured, so it took about a month to arrive. It's beautiful. The top part is delicately beaded and looks expensive. Hey, I received the dress yesterday and it is absolutely amazing - it looks exactly like the picture, the back is exactly the same as the picture (for those that were wondering!) The lining is double lined, the first layer is like a cotton material, which i guess is to stop the satin from becoming too static and sticking to your legs, and the second layer is made from satin. I got it made in champagne, and it really is a lovely colour so I would definately recommend it! There is a built in bra in the dress, with a separate 'bra strap' concealed undernearth the strip at the back of the dress and there is also boning inside the bodice, which is perfect for keeping the dress up! I'm eloping to Las Vegas to get married. I needed a simple knee length white dress. I was reluctant to buy online for all the obvious reasons. I spent two months trying to find a dress. So, on May 11th, I decided to order it. I had a back-up dress just in case. I got my dress today. It's perfect. It fits like a glove. It's top quality workmanship. The neckline shows that is kinda heart shaped, but it's not, it goes straight across. That is not a problem it is still beautiful. The belt is not attached and there are no loops, but i'm glad because it looks better without a belt. I am so very pleased with my purchase. The sizing is true. I wear a 16W dress and that is what i ordered. It is not flattering to my figure but i don't have a flattering figure LOL. I have pics. My 6yr old Grandson took them so please excuse.
