Q1. How about the Quality of your Groom Wear? | |
---|---|
A1. Lightinthebox.com is the world's leading online wedding apparel website. We provide complete one-stop shopping for all Groom Wears and all special occasion events. Lightinthebox.com inspects every Groom Wear and guarantees the condition. High quality, best price, and 100% satisfaction is our goal. |
Q2. Is it better to rent a tux or buy one? What are the pros/cons? | |
---|---|
A2. Renting wedding-day attire is no longer any more acceptable for a groom than it would be for his bride. Most tuxedo rental companies only tailor the sleeves of the jacket and the bottoms of the pants, so they tend to fit poorly. By purchasing your tuxedo or suit, you invest in a piece that will last you for many events to come and be custom-made to fit you perfectly in every possible way. It is also next to impossible to personalize a rented look. After all, it has likely been worn by dozens of grooms at dozens of other weddings before being worn by you. The thing to remember is that a groom's attire is no longer a uniform, it is meant to be unique to his personality and the personality of the event. |
Q3. How far in advance should I order? | |
---|---|
A3. Orders take 3 weeks for delivery from the tailors to your place. Please place your order as far as in advance of your wedding date as possible. The best way to ensure a stress-free shopping experience is to allow plenty of time for our tailoring and shipping periods, plus additional time to try on the Tux and make any necessary alterations once it arrives. |
Q4. What are the differences between the notch, peak, and shawl lapels? | |
---|---|
A4. Tuxedos are available in 3 basic styles: peak, notch and shawl. These 3 terms refer to the lapels on a tuxedo jacket. Choosing one that is right for you is simply a matter of taste or preference. Peak = most classic style. A broad V-shaped lapel that points up and out just below the collar line. Notch = the most popular style today. A triangular indentation is cut where the lapel joins the collar. Shawl = A smooth, rounded edge lapel. |
Q5. Will the Formalwear trousers be hemmed or un-hemmed? | |
---|---|
A5. The trousers will be shipped to you un-hemmed. This way you may take your formalwear to a local tailor to have the trousers hemmed to the exact length you require. This will provide a "custom-tailored" look for tremendously less. |
Q6. How do I decide what size to order? | |
---|---|
A6. You can choose a standard size or give us your custom measurements. Please view our Size Chart>> Prior to selecting your size to order, we suggest reviewing the information provided in How to Measure>> Even if there is some fluctuation in the size you need, all our Groom Wears are made with a margin for modification or alteration. The modification or alteration can be made by your local tailor. |
Q7. How can I choose shirt? | |
---|---|
A7. Instead of feeling overwhelmed with the selection, customers only have to make a few easy decisions which will guide them to their best option. First step is to decide on "shirt color"; most gentlemen go with white, but other alternatives are available. After deciding on color, the second step is deciding on the "shirt collar". Today, a high percentage of gentlemen go with a laydown collar, but any of the collar styles are formally acceptable at virtually all formal affairs. Once color and collar are decided, the third decision is deciding if you "want pleats or no pleats". Some gentlemen prefer that pleats give a more formal look to an ensemble; whereas other gentlemen believe that the cleaner look of no pleats is more appealing. Once these 3 easy initial decisions are made, you have effectively narrowed your search in finding the best formal wear tuxedo shirt for you. |
Q8. What are some of the different aspects of Cummerbunds and Vests? | |
---|---|
A8. Cummerbunds are worn around the waist with the pleats facing upward (as if to hold theatre tickets or to "catch the crumbs"). Open-back vs. Full-back Vests: Open-back vests are open in the back with a small band of material running along the waist. The back of the shirt will be visible. Full-back vests have material on the back of the vest. The back of the shirt is not visible. Full-back vests provide a more sophisticated look if the jacket will be removed. |
Q9. What jewelry should be worn with formalwear? | |
---|---|
A9. For a well dressed formal look, Cufflinks and Studs should always be worn. Cufflinks are jewelry which fastens the shirts cuffs. Studs are used to button the shirt. The studs will fit through the shirt button holes allowing the studs to show rather than the buttons. A Button Cover is a piece of jewelry which fits over the top button of a shirt and can be worn with a mandarin collar shirt. |
Q10. If bought in a large group, can any discounts/bargains be expected? | |
---|---|
A10. We do accept large quantity as Business Customer Inquiry. Please contact our customer service representatives for the detailed information. |
Q11. Will my Tux/Suit exactly match the color I see on your website? | |
---|---|
A11. There might be a slight difference between the actual Tux/Suit’s color and what you see in the photo depending on your computer monitor’s display settings. |
Q12. Can I return or cancel the Tux/Suit if I change my mind? | |
---|---|
A12: Our Tuxedos/Suits aren’t just pulled from a warehouse - once your order is confirmed, our tailors begin selecting materials in the color you requested and cutting fabric based on your measurements. Even standard size Tuxedos/Suits are made to order for each customer. The custom nature of our clothes means our cancellation and return policy is stricter than for other items, so it’s important to order carefully. For full details, see our Return and Cancelation Policy. |
Q13. Will I be required to pay import duty by my country's Custom House? | |
---|---|
A13. Based on our past experiences, most of the countries do not charge import duty on low volume personal imports. |
Q14. What payment methods do you accept? | |
---|---|
A14. We accept payment either by Credit Card, PayPal, Western Union or direct wire transfer. |
Q15. How do I contact Customer Service? | |
---|---|
A15. We always have someone on hand to answer your questions: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We believe in the timeliness of customer service, and will do everything possible to satisfy our customers. If you have any problems, comments, or suggestions, please contact our customer service representatives. |
