Stamping Image Plates: How-To

  • Step one:
    Take out the stamp. Use a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover to clean the stamp head. Dry the stamp off well, otherwise it will not print correctly.
  • Step Two:
    You can apply a base coat to enhance the stamp effect. Apply the coat, then allow to dry.
  • Step Three:
    Take your selected nail polish color and paint the polish onto the face of the stamp, being sure to scrape away any excess polish.
  • Step Four:
    Before the polish dries on the stamp head, press the stamp on to your nail using steady, even force.
  • Step Five:
    Check the stamp to make sure you are satisfied with the imprint.
  • Step Six:
    Apply a clear top coat over the stamp to make it last longer.
  • Step Seven:
    Use nail polish remover to clean the stamp, scraper, and steel plate.

Tips: The steel plate is shipped with a thin sheet of transparent plastic PP film to protect against scratches. Before using the steel plate for the first time, be sure to removed the protective film.

I bought the M60 plate, along with a stamper, and I love these plates! What's really nice is when you get them, they have a blue clear plastic on them to ensure they don't scratch in the mail. They were packaged well, and arrived to me right on time.

When using them, they come on nicely, and clean off easily as well. Since the scraper I got is plastic, I haven't even scratched the plate yet, and I've been using it everyday.

If you're looking to start out stamping, I highly recommend you pick up a stamper and plate from LightintheBox. They're a great price, and an even better quality!
