Material is good quality, dress is fully lined, and congrats to your quality manager in China, your made to measure product fits my miss 17 PERFECTLY, and is beautifully made. Very impressed, will certainly be a returning customer when required. Took about 3 weeks total from ordering to arrive in NZ, didn't get charged gst or duty.

This is such a beautiful dress! I ordered it in clover and it is gorgeous! Not a flashy color nor an olive color (which is what I was afraid of). I ordered extra material so that I could add straps and it was very inexpensive (less than what you would find at a fabric store). The material is very comfortable and the lining in the bodice and back strap for the built in bra felt very seamless. Light in the Box sent it to me about a week before the estimated ship date; very quick service. Customer service is awesome and very nice. I have 100/79/109 cm measurements and ordered a size 14. Though I am very pleased with the dress and how it fits, I am tempted to say that I could have ordered a size 12. However, with a 14 I have that lee-way just in case I miss my runs and gain an inch. The seams would be easy to take in though if I really needed to.
Overall impression of first purchase with Light in the Box: This company is awesome and I will recommend it to my friends!

We were a little nervous to order a custom made dress for our friends wedding. But after getting the dress after what felt like NO TIME AT ALL, we were more than impressed! The fabric is heavy satin, not cheap looking or cheap feeling at all! The color is beautiful and it fit like a glove! The only thing we would change is to make sure you add extra inches to the length to be able to wear heels with your dress. They only ask for your actual heigth measurements, so if you want to wear anything besides flats, add the heigth of your shoes to the final length of the dress. Other than that, I love the dress and we can't wait to wear them for our friends wedding in December! Thanks Light In The Box!

I admit I was so nervous and my package arrived being that it was in a 10x8 box.
I thought how is there a beautiful evening gown in here but there was.
After the steaming (wrinkles you know) it looked just like I imagined it would.
I love it! I can't wait for my Mardi Gras Ball!!!

Wow. All I can say is WOW.
The dress arrived on time, infact it was early!
Let me tell you, i have brought online before and was dissapointed. So buying from light in the box was a bit scary. But I fell in love with how classy and simple (AND CHEAP) this dress was so i brought it in dark green.
I was so happy once i tried it on, it made me look like a princess! The dress gave me shape without being to tight! It was perfect.
I am petite so i was awear the dress would most likey be too long so i was prepared for that and found unpicking the hem rather easy, but once inside the dress i could see the real quality, i took the dress in at the waist which was a 5 minute job for me and took the dress up so i could walk comfotably in my high heels and now its done!
The thing about this dress that I love the most is that no one could look at me and notice that i paid less than $100 for the dress. its So beautiful and I will shop with lightinthebox again and again!

I ordered this dress for my daughter's prom. We sent her sizes for a better fit. The sizes were queried as they thought they might be slightly incorrect. Appreciated that they asked but double checked and were correct. We asked if dress would still arrive in time as we were very late in ordering. They let us know that it would not arrive in time for date we asked for and offered to cancel and refund as the dress was not yet made. We decided to go ahead as my daughter can wear dress on another occasion. We ordered dress in watermelon colour and we were really pleased with the final product. The colour matches the colour on the chart and the dress fits perfectly. My daughter is delighted with result and can't wait to wear it. Thanks Light in the Box will definitely order again in future.

I have already ordered a few dresses but this is the one I loved the most. Love ordering the dresses here. Mostly I can't decided which one I want the most ;-) ... Would buy them all ;-). Always happy with the quality and usually there is no one with a similar dress. All my friends start ordering here now too.Only the tax is so expensiv every time. Specially this time the sent a higher bill then I paid with the box and so tax was higher too.

The dress itself seems nice - I bought 3 for my bridesmaids for a wedding, although they haven't tried them on yet. However, the website does not mention that you will be charged additional taxes, freight and freight surcharges when it arrives. For me this came to almost 50% of the total order.

The other part I didn't feel was clear that there is a processing time of 12-15 working days on top of the 3-5 days it takes to ship the them over. This left it quite close to call with the wedding, but fortunately, I ordered them a couple of months in advance.

I think both of these should be made very clear on the website and ultimately, I was made to believe that any taxes were already accounted for - so this is not a service I would recommend. Particularly added to the fact that there is no telephone number or clear customer service contact to complain to or follow up.
