I put my own measurements in but in fairness I think I was generous as when the dress arrived it was way too big for me, so I would advise being deadly accurate with your measurements.
I had the dress shortened to be a mid / upper calf length rather than tea length which was more flattering as the skirt was quite full and heavy. I also had it taken in and the bow stitched to lie flat as it looked a bit limp and lifeless just hanging there. My seamstress also made the difference between the skirt and the organza over-layer smaller which made it look better.
There was quite a bit of excess material in the bodice under the bust at the top of the waist which my seamstress said she couldn't really remedy without totally taking the dress apart. And I consider myself to be fairly thick waisted proportionally, and there was a little bit of bagging in this area even after alterations. So again be really accurate with your measurements!
The shoulders are set really wide apart and a first I thought the dress wouldn't be able to stay. This was remedied when I had the dress taken in as the shoulders didn't sliip off. Again though I have quite broad shoulders I did think they were set too wide, so be carefull with your measurements. (pattern developing here!)
Because the shoulders were set too wide the sleeves did start to dig in at the front of my arms and was quite uncomfortable by the end of the night. But by this point I'd had a few and didn't really mind! And i did have my dress on from about 10am till 11.30pm.
The description does say the dress has a built in bra but I did have to wear a bra with it. it isn't so much a built in bra as structured bra cups sewn into the dress, but they don't really provide support, just shape and structure.
On the plus side the material was really nice and luxurious, the lace was very pretty and the back of the dress was beautiful. You do need to be carefull with the buttons though, one of my loops came out straight away! On the day my mam did the buttons up with a crochet hook. Once all the alterations had been done the dress was slimming and suited my well. I got lots of comments on the day and everyone said it looked gorgeous.
I also got stung for a £60 import charge by the courrier. My alterations cost £130, so total costs to get my dress how I wanted it was £320. I do think it was worth it as was able to choose the exact design I wanted and not have the hassle of trying stuff on. I don't think I'd have been able to get the dress I wanted for that price in a shop unless I spent hours and a lot of petrol miles searching for it.
In all I would say go for it and order from light in the box. They are very proffessional and you can track your delivery. But do be accurate with your measurements, shop the site extensively and be prepared to spend money to get your dress perfect.
