The dress is beautiful! Its material is of good quality and the beading is immaculate! For the price i was supposedly meant to pay for the dress, which was $120 i was getting a good sale! So why a low rating? Well its because of the import taxes that i was not told that i had to pay and how much was the tax? £70.56! I'd be ok with tax up to £20 but £70 is just taking it a bit too far! So overall the products are incredibly beautifully made but those import charges are just too much! My advice for all of you is that you should maybe check or ask about these import charges or just buy from a website in your area and not from all away in china!

I am very pleased with the dress is was of very high quality material and workmanship. It fitted perfectly and was made to a very high standard. The dress was for my daughter's Prom and she was extemely pleased.

However, it would have been helpful to have been told about the custom excise duty that had to be paid on delivery as the carrier expected cash and would not leave the parcel without being paid. It was vey embarrassing having to go to a cash machine whilst the carrier waited.

The dress is lovely, very well made, we were concerned about ordering originally, but after
looking around at retail shops for a dress decided it was worth the gamble. It paid off big time,
I am sure in Australia, I would have had to pay around $700 for something similar, something I was not going to do. We have now ordered bridesmaids dresses as well and cant wait for them to turn up. Glad we found Light in the Box. Cheers

Firstly, the dress is fantastic. It is extremely well made, fits perfectly. It is beautifully layered. The dress is reassuringly heavy due to the plentiful chiffon material. The feature around the neck is stunning. So couldn't be more pleased with the quality of this dress. So, why only three stars? Well, when this and a second dress were delivered by UPS I was landed with a bill of over £106.00 for import tax and VAT (UK rates). Lightinthebox are located in China, the price you pay is net. Whilst I don't expect lightinthebox to know what taxes I would end up paying, I think it is reasonable for them to make it abundantly clear, perhaps next to the product price, that there may be significant additional costs. I think customers deserve to be made aware of this so that they can make enquiries and then reach a conclusion as to whether the product is worth the gross cost. So I suppose the dress is worth 5 stars but lightinthebox information and communications on this matter deserve 1 star.
From the standard of dresses I have received I think I may shop with them again but will certainly add 30% to 40% on to the given net cost to judge it's value for money. You should do the same.

A beautiful dress and the size fits, i am very pleased.

The dress was beautiful! It looked exactly like the picture although I ordered it in pink. Despite having to get the back slightly adjusted, it fit me perfectly. I recommend getting exact measurements, worth the extra cost. It arrived on time as well.

Do you have any photos of this dress in any other colours? I am thinking of the black as the sheer material may match better with black chiffon... but I am more keen on the burgandy / grape colours. I'd like to know if this would work or if it would look strange!

If I order the watermelon color in this dress will the sheer material match that (ie. not be white like on the white dress) and are the sequins silver no matter what color the dress is made in? Thankyou.
