Hi, I will tell you my experience with this tablet. I purchased like 3 months ago. At first, I bought the Othello, but WiFi was awful, well I sent a request, something was wrong with the gadget and they change it for the Ouku. After receive the tablet, btw was very fast shipping considering location, I just put my secondary phone SIM card and the SD memory, turn it on and then, I will tell you.

This tablet I have to say is pretty good. I'm a tech consultant, and by now, I feel I had made a good investment.

PROS of this tablet:
1) Battery is really nice. Of course, if you have the WiFi on all the time, it will drain your battery but if you are like me, that only turn it on when need it, the battery can be better than my cellphone. i.e. right now it says: 3 days and 43 minutes since unplugged and remaining battery is 62%. Nice huh....

2) I think the biggest plus: works great using my SIM mobile internet. You can use it as a hotspot, what is simple great stuff, or like a modem for the PC/Laptop directly via the usb port..

3) Touch screen - The captive is great. Not a cheap screen, it really feels good. Comparable to any captive touchscreen phone... yeah to the iPhone too....

4) Android Market - By now I hadnt found any app that doesnt install in this tablet. With the othello i got the problem that some apps do not install on it, but with this one i have no faced that issue.

CONS
1) The processor is 800mhz. Its a good processor tabs like Othello have a better one , 1ghz speed. This is really not a big issue depends on the primary use of the tablet. i.e. for just gaming can be an issue.

2) I'd notice that some games like angry birds dont run as smooth as supposed. For me is not an issue since the purpose of my tablet is more work oriented or less resource consuming like email and internet surfing.

3) No video conference call

4) One of the big issue, at least for me - Cant found good screen protector or case. I bought a case, which is not that bad, but is not that best either. But the screen protector... If someone knows please let us know asap. I'm still using the protection plastic that comes with the tablet and of course is not that good, but is fair in terms of protection.

One thing that will be good, is to offer an OS upgrade. I know it says that we should communicate with service, etc. but I think will be better if you release and install package with instruction video. That will be great...

I give 5 star to this product because for the price, it does all I need and more. There space for improvement, ok, but this product is a good gadget.

Of course LTB service people is great. Very fast and efficient.

Well thats all.... hope i will not need to write back saying "dont listen to me this product is not good...", hopes no. For now... 5 stars...

Pros
- 3G used external GSM sim card (amaysim) and works perfectly for internet connection away from wifi. I can surf the web or check my mail or facebook while on the train to work or sitting in long meetings.
- 2G – Can make and receive phone calls using GSM sim card. This works great with Bluetooth headset or conference call over loudspeaker and built-in mic.
- Front and rear facing camera. Front facing for video chat. Not tested using video chat.
- GPS - Detect signal fast. Works well. Great for the built in In-Car app. Tested using Google navigation and works great. As good as a Navman.
- Volume rocker on side for quick volume adjustment.
- Using Team viewer I can access my PC desktop.
- Video Playback ok using MX video. A little laggy with some formats.
- Accept additional storage card (we are using additional 16GB purchased separately and works well)
- Work processing using separately purchased ” Documents to Go” app.
- Bluetooth for connecting headset, keyboard or mouse. Tested with Logitech mini keyboard – Works well. Tested with Sony Bluetooth receiver headset with audio, video and making phone calls – works well.
- Snappy response. Quick sliding through menus and launching apps.
- Froyo Android System. Nice.
- Display is really nice quality. Above average for this price range tablet.
- Plays back video well using MX Video. Also streaming over wifi works great too. A bit laggy but tolerable.
Steaming videos using MX Video player and BubbleUpnp – Plays well.
- Reading (Free) Books Using Aldiko and a heap of free books from the market.
- Viewing my webcams and baby monitors using TinyWebcam Pro
- Transfer files to SD Card (using external 16gb sd card purchased separately) using SwiFTP over wifi.
- Reading and writing email with Built-in email app
- Charges via USB or separate Power adapter.
- Built-in speakers ok. Not amazing but good enough. Better than a standard phone.
- Built-in 3.5 inch earphone socket.
- Battery Life acceptable. Lasts about 12-14hrs on standby. About 4hrs of use.
- WIFI connected no problem.
- Youtube. Flash Plays ok.

Cons
- No built in speaker for (2G) phone calls. Only uses loudspeaker (conference call type) unless using Bluetooth or stock headphones.
- Stock headphones with mic are low quality. Mic is too soft for calls.
- 3.5inch socket does not work with other headset with built-in mic. I had to use a Bluetooth headset for private calls.
- Camera is 1.3Mpixel. Not clear enough for personal photography but good enough for general use or using Google goggles.
- No USB host for usb flash drive or keyboard or mouse. Have to use Bluetooth only.
- Takes a long time to charge via USB. Much quicker using external power supply.

Great product! Screen very responsive and precise. Easy to use. Excelent price/quality relation! Very satisfied!

Excellent device.just got mine yesterday and i'm lovin it

The Ouku Tablet came in a reasonable amount of time package very well. It's a christmas gift, but I play with it before i wrap it, and it a wonderful tablet. It can do any and everything. you will love it! The price was great!

I like this product which matches all specifications in the ad. Everything works as expected.
If the screen resolution can be higher, that will be great tablet.

More importantly, I found the customer support in Lightinthebox.com is execellence. They will always return your message within 1 day, sometime it is even faster.
I will recommend this online store to my friends.

Great product, nearly as good as the IPAD but for a lot less money.

very good tablet for this price: great design and build quality, capacitive 5 points screen, good battery life, biult-in 3g module which works with all popular mobile networks. cons: can't install flash player.
