This alarm system is awesome for the price. Similar name-brand wireless set-ups with sim cards and texting will run you $700 USD and up.

I suggest you read the directions once or twice while you wait for delivery or at least prior to even opening the box. It is not that hard once you understand them - the problem is that they are a poor Chinese translation at best. The most important part to understand is how to code the sensors. NOTE: the A0-A6 that you must set on every sensor must be in reverse of what is listed on your alarm unit! The instructions are very unclear on this due them leaving out a digit in the example.

The PIR motion sensors are worthless if you have a pet. I have ordered some Pet PIR's from another site since LightintheBox doesn't carry them.

The included siren cord is not long enough. Buy an aux cable extension for $2. It is also not loud enough for larger homes. Buy a wireless siren or siren/strobe and an aux y-cable to connect both sirens.

Entire installation of 20 zones took 6 hours. 4 hours to program all sensors, 1.5 hours to understand the panel and program it and the SMS settings. A couple of minutes to mount the sensors.

I am quit happy with this product. it is very good for the price. Thank you Lightinthebox now i feel real secure.

Have unpacked the unit but not yet set up, has every thing that i will need and more can't go wrong with the price of the unit Light in the box another good product and price

This is an interesting little alarm. The control panel is a little difficult to use and the sensors have actual antennas that stick out of them. Also, the smoke detector and gas detector do not work. All in all, it's not really worth the price. I would expect to pay $75 USD for this.

I can't get the auto dialing to work. I've inserted a prepaid sim card and it doesn't work. Can someone tell me which telco's sim card will work in this alarm in Australia.

This is not a review, I have roughly gone through the User Manual a few times,

I need to clarify the following items

1) What is a "fixed time" in your fixed time arm, disarm, partial armed (3.2.0 page 11)?

2) The User Manual does not show how to stop the system, namely, the build-in Speaker, the bug( I presume the bug means siren, if not please let me know what is a bug) External bug, in the event when an intrusion is detected? Can I stop the siren, using the Alarm Host 's key pad, (without using the remote controllers)?

3) There is an opening (Cut off) at the back of the "Alarm Host", is there a cover for it?

Ce produit est très bien conçu, il suffit d'installer judicieusement les points d'alarmes aux fenêtres et dans les pièces pour les infrarouges, la centrale fait le reste.
Juste à changer le mot de passe et à programmer l'envoi de sms.
Je le recommande vivement. Ne pas oublier un dédouanement d'environ 40€.

Rien à dire sur le transport et la qulite du produit, j'ai seulement deux commentaires à faire :
- donner une estimation à la commande des frais de douane
- forunir une notice en Français

Mais je conseille cet achat à la fois pour le matèriel mais aussi la qualité du site et le suivi clientèle qui répond trés vite aux clients.

Nous avons commandé cette alarme et 3 jours + tard nous la recevions à la maison (Belgique)... Très contents du délai de livraison mais très surpris de payer une taxe de douane supplèmentaire de 48€!!! (à payer directement au livreur!!!!)...
Installation facile (+ ou - 1 heure). Seul hic, le mode d'emploi uniquement en anglais! Ce qui a engendré certaines difficultés pour la programmation de l'alarme...
Au finish, nous sommes satisfaits : maison sécurisée et nous rassurés!!!
