| Not a bad cosplay. The quality is decent and a non-perfectionist will be very happy with the outfit. :)
Be careful when using the size chart, I followed it and chose a size L. Unfortunately, the blouse ended up being far too big for me.
Now, the quality:
The material of the blouse is thin, but very comfortable and breathable. The skirt is made of a heavier material and also comfortable.
The sailor collar had a small flaw in that it is more rounded and curved from the collar bone to the cleavage area. If you're familiar with these school uniforms, they usually are more sharp and angular, forming a nice triangle on the chest.
The yellow tie is sewn into a neck tie shape and is made of a stiffer material, so it's harder to tie and looks awkward tied. It would have been better if a more sheer flowy fabric had been used.
However, I really appreciated the long invisible zipper sewn into the blouse's side. Compared to other uniforms, this makes it super easy to get out of.
One thing I noticed though, was that the costume doesn't include the cream colored turtleneck Rise Kujikawa wears with her uniform. That's a simple item I can probably find elsewhere, but for the price, I would've really appreciated such an article being included.
I've seen other websites offer this cosplay for cheaper with the turtleneck included.
In short, this cosplay's alright for a casual cosplayer. For the perfectionist, not so much. I wasn't too impressed. |
