I love the capacitive touch screen, it is as smooth and responsive as an iPad. Seems very fast, and battery life is good... just spent 2.5 hours using it continuously on NetFlix and Pandora, still have more than 50% left. Recharged that up in 35 minutes.
The color rendering isn't perfect, it's a little blue (or weak on red), but you really only notice next to a reference like the iPad showing the same screen. It's not at all distracting while watching movies or anything. View angle is fair, there's a sweet spot but not too narrow.
Exceeds my expectations in every way.so far.
Android oddities like the camera settings that are mixed up a bit but all there. Fast downloading, never dropped offline. Sound is weak but adequate and not raspy. No bass, an iPhone sounds a little better and a little louder. It would be hard to hear your NetFlix movie in a noisy room, like an airport, but that's what headphones are for. The microphone works very well for SKYPE, but videos don't play back MIC recordings well... but my PC plays the audio as recorded just fine... odd. USB and memory jacks.
I used it for 2 hours before I noticed a corner of the screen was peeling. I thought "here we go" but it was a screen protector. Removed it and now the screen is even more clear and precise.
I especially like the 4x3 aspect ratio for my uses, and the 7" is preferable to me too.. And it really could convince anyone that it is a new smaller iPad by its appearance.
