If you have a dynamic IP, do you need an always-on PC on your home network?
I am looking into these types of cameras and I discovered that for many of them if your ISP only provides you with a dynamic IP address, then you have to use a service like NO-IP which provides a hostname mapped to your dynamic IP, but in order to keep the mapping up to date, you have to have an always-on PC on your network running an update client to let NO-IP know when your IP address changes. I want a solution where I don't need a PC on at all - so the camera and the router are all I need. I have found UCAM247 which appears to do this, but it lacks some other features like RC pan/tilt.
Does this camera require an always-on PC on your home network? If so, do you have any other similar products that don't require that?

The daytime vision is 15m and the night vision is 10m. Those are the limits for getting pictures of fine definition. But you still could detect long-distance area which is not as clear as that within the given distance. As this set is IP camera so you neednot consider the distance between the camera and the computer. Hope you enjoy your shopping with us.
