How Do I Know Which Size To Order?

Select the size that best matches your largest measurement (bust, waist or hip).
If you're between sizes, it's usually best to order the larger size so you have room to move, or so alterations can easily be made.

How Do I Use The Size Chart?

If the clothing you own in your usual size runs tight and the product you wish to buy is not made of elastic material, we recommend you to choose one size up.
One-size products are designed to be worn by customers who are within the range of bust 30-33, waist 23¾-26¾ and hips 32¼-35½ inches, unless they are loose fit styles.

Bust

Let your arms hang naturally at your sides.
Have someone measure you with the measuring tape parallel to the ground.
Have your friend measure under your underarms, around your back and over the fullest part of your bust.
Make sure the measuring tape is snug but not tight.

Waist

Bend over to one side to find the spot where your waist naturally creases.
Measure this spot; it should be right under your navel.
Keep the measuring tape parallel to the floor and snug against your skin, but don't pull it tight.

Hip

Stand up straight with your feet together.
Have a friend measure over your hips and rear, around the fullest part.
Make sure to keep the measuring tape parallel to the floor.

This dress could not have been more perfect! I was looking for a vintage style dress for my engagement photo shoot and ordered this at the last minute. I was worried about 2 things...it wouldn't get to me on time and it wouldn't fit. I was wrong on both fronts. They rushed it to me along with a few other items, I tried it on and it fit perfectly. I ordered an XL which they said was a US size 8 and I wear a 10, but thankfully it worked! The quality was excellent and it was exceptionally made. Oh yeah and I wore a white petticoat under it for more fluff which made it even prettier. I am so incredibly happy that I made this purchase!

I was very skeptical ordering this dress but figured I'd take a chance. I'm in love with this dress and can't wait to wear it to an upcoming wedding!!! The quality is much better than I expected. I did not take the advice from other reviewers and order my dress 2 sizes bigger. I ordered what was closest to my size. I ordered a size small. It's tricky to put on because the zipper is located under the arm down the side of the waist but if I had ordered bigger I would have been swimming in the dress. I added a string of pearls to accent the dress. I also sewed a knee length crinoline petticoat to make the dress fuller. I've attached a before and after picture.

This is a VERY beautiful dress. I am happy that I decided to purchase the dress. I am a US size 8/9 (UK 10/11) and I ordered the XL (UK 12). The dress is a bit loose on me so I plan on having it professionally altered. This dress is too fabulous not to buy. I highly recommend the dress!

I just think that this dress is gorgeous, I love the 50's 60's style it's very ellegant.
This dress will be perfect for my daughters wedding next year. One question though & that is why can't they do it in a size 18 UK because there are a lot of women & girls out there that are very broad around the shoulders & bust but are tiny in the waist.
Look forward to your reply ASAP. I will have to have this dress custom made because my measurements are not on the chart. Can you please help me out on this PLEASE.

The dress is perfect as I bought it for my daughters 21st birthday retro/vintage theme party next month. I also bought a tuille skirt to make the skirt part even fuller. Looks great and I bought the (M) size even though I am usually a (S). It is bigger at the waist but I will bring it in by popping on a thin diamonte style belt. Perfect!. I absolutely love this dress and could not be more pleased with it ! I ordered it on the Saturday and it had arrived with me in the UK by Thursday using the Super Saver postal rate! The fit is perfect. I am a UK size 6/8 and ordered a small. The size guide is very accurate and helpful. The dress would benefit from a net petticoat under the skirt as it is very full. If you are looking for an elegant vintage look, you will not be disappointed, it is just beautiful. ( It makes me smile!) Cannot wait to wear it to my sons wedding in the summer. Thank you Light in the Box.

(For UK I did have to pay customs £13, but I bought the dress when it was on offer, so it was still a real bargain)
