I think this camera works great. It was easy to setup and get running. I'm an IT person and found it a but hard to understand how to setup/access the DDNS. I think if the instructions included what to put into the browser's URL to access the camera via DDNS, I could have saved a lot of frustration. Another draw back is I wish the power cord was longer. Another disappointment was finding out that my dog dos NOT sleep all day long. Great camera at a Great price! Plan on buying more.

As advertised. This device was easy to setup and has great quality. It is being used to alarm when motion is detected in our server room. I have it setup to send emails and it is working great. Could use a longer power cord but other than that I am extremely pleased. Great Product and a Great Price. May be purchasing extra for other projects.

    are there any fees that will apply in order to use this camera system..like as a security monitoring company might have..and/or after i set up camera am i simply able to check the captured pictures from/on my computer...also i have a tower/desk top computer..running XP pro..so does it just plug into that..along with a power supply at the wall....the reviews i read didn't mention these things..but did sound like what i am interested in..thanks

    Phone then sends the photo to the cloud.

    The listing on the camera says it has audio in and out. The specifications on the little blue CD that comes with the camera make no mention of any audio or how to use it. There is nothing listed on the camera configuration screens about audio either. Does this camera actually have audio?

    we are looking to buy this for servaliance reasons, and am i right in thinking that it doesnt need to be connected by wires to the computer? also does the computer it is "linked" to need to be on all the time? does it automatically record footage or do we need to be watching it to see the live footage.

  • Good camera but question about the IR-LEDS

    I just purchased a Wanscam IP PTZ camera and got it all working fine.
    AS it got dark I noticed the IR-LEDS are not coming on. I have 6 other Wanscam cameras and they are all OK with the IR-LEDS, they work fine. What do I need to do to get the new camera's IR-LEDS to function normally.

    If I send the command http://ip_address:port/decoder_control.cgi?command=94, the IR-LEDS come on fine, and the command http://ip_address:port/decoder_control.cgi?command=95, the IR-LEDS turn off just fine.

    They just not do it automatically as they should.
