I think these are excellent bulbs. The exterior is a type of rubber which I think would be very durable and weather resistant. My only issue is I do not believe they are a substitute for a 20w halogen bulb as they are not as bright. They do fit a G4 socket perfect. I was planning on using them in a Malibu spot landscape light with built in reflector. The output just was not enough so for me the result was not what I wanted so I returned. Seamless return. I do think these would be great for a pathway type of fixture or something that was not a flood type application

Light output is good. I may end up using 2 where I was planning on one, but will have to proto a fixture and see how it actually performs. I also bought the 57 LED version, which has the same led and configuration as the 24 LED here then adds a end disk on top with a circle of LEDs. As others have said. the entire things is encased in a water clear silicone, which is great for protecting the circuit, but Im concerned about longevity as this really limits how fast heat can be shed from the PCB/LEDs.
The 57 LED version is not much brighter then the 24 LED version, but it is noticeably brighter if only just. You cant really judge brightness via cell phone pic, as I cant control the gain/iris/whatever.
The 24LED pulled 130ma where the 57LED was closer to 190ma draw at 12 volts DC.

I needed to test a 12v timer circuit I constructed and was attempting to use a series of 2v red LEDs which was not working very well so I purchased these 12v 1.5 watt LED bulbs which better fit my needs. The amount of light these LEDs produce is simply amazing with incredible on/off response time....
I am very pleased!

These work perfectly and are brighter than the halogen bulbs they replaced 10W. I am using a Malibu 12 volt timer/transformer with no problems. The LEDs are encapsulated so they should hold up to the outdoor landscape lights weather conditions. This was the best deal I could find

Excellent bulbs for our landscape lights!
Because they consume less wattage than the incandescent type, I was able to four spot lights on the same run with 20v instead of 10v which achieves a nicer effect.
I’m buying more to all or our landscape lights, my hope is that led’s will last much longer than the incandescents.
