I am looking for a plug in stair lighting system with a motion detector. I purchased a couple of rechargeable motion detection lights which I set at the top and bottom of the stairs. They work well but I would like something I do not need to recharge.
I do not need step by step sequencing or multiple light levels etc. I do want a motion detector at the top and bottom. I would like an LED light strip under each step but the single lights at top and bottom do provide enough light.
This is for our summer camp. I want something simple and reliable. It seems this 32 channel system would work but seems to be far more complex than I need. It is an open tread stair case so should be easy to light and install.

Based on your description, the 32-channel stair controller would likely be more advanced than what you need. It is designed for individual step control, sequential lighting effects, and larger staircase installations.

If your goal is simply to have LED strip lights illuminate the stairs when motion is detected at the top or bottom, a simpler motion-sensor LED strip system may be a better option. The 32-channel controller can be configured so that all steps light together, but many of its features would not be necessary for your application.
