I had just swept and mopped before it arrived. After charging it to full, ran it anyway. Was quite surprised at the amount of dust I emptied. Follow-up review: Have ran it about 2 weeks. Have yet to figure out the various modes claimed in the description, and it appears to be stuck on stupid. Has a very strong tendency to go west (possibly a compass in the programming??? , weird, I know). No matter where I place it in the house, can almost always wait a few minutes and find it stuck on the same vent (yup, on the west end of the house). Honestly , for the price, I ordered it with zero expectations, and It has far exceeded that. However I will give kudos for the amount of dust and small particulates it does manage to collect on those beeline trips, before I get bored with moving it, and just put it away. I do see other reviews that are far more favorable, so Im happy for those folks and will figure I got a unit that missed random movement training day.
