1. Robe « A-line »
Flatteuse, la robe « A-line » de forme trapèze est l’alliée universelle des femmes. Sa coupe, légèrement évasée, épouse vos formes au lieu de les rendre disgracieuses, créant ainsi une silhouette harmonieuse.
Ce style est-il fait pour vous ? Si vous êtes de petite taille, cette robe ajoute une illusion de grandeur ; si, au contraire, vous êtes plutôt grande, celle-ci peut vous apporter formes et rondeurs. Si vous préférez cacher certaines imperfections, la silhouette en « A » pourra pleinement vous satisfaire.
2. Robe classique

5. Robe Empire
La robe à la ligne « Empire » élégante est coupée en haut juste au-dessous de la poitrine. Le look peut être doux ou aérien ou plus structuré et plus classique, selon le tissu et la coupe.

6. Robe Princesse
Avec le tissu à stries verticales, sans la taille évidente, la robe de silhouette princesse semble être plus vivante que la silhouette A-line, mais elle n’est pas moins flatteuse.

7. Robe mi-longue

14. Traîne chapelle

15. Traîne cathédrale

Avant d'acheter une robe faite sur commande chez LightInTheBox.com, nous vous proposons de trouver un tailleur professionnel qui vous aidera à prendre vos mesures correctement. Nous allons vous indiquer ici quelles mesures sont nécessitaires et comment les obtenir précisément. Attention : se mesurer soi-même est beaucoup plus difficile que vous ne pensez ! *Mesurez votre tour de poitrine sur la partie haute de vos seins
*Tirez le mètre ruban en dessous de vos bras

*Ce n'est pas votre taille de soutien-gorge !
*Portez un soutien-gorge sans rembourrage (votre robe possède déjà un soutien-gorge intégré)
*Détendez les bras sur les côtés de votre corps
*Mesurez votre tour de poitrine en passant le mètre ruban sur la pointe des seins
Tour de la cage thoracique, sous les seins
Mesurer la partie située sous les seinsTour de ventre
*Trouvez la partie la plus large de votre ventre
*Tirez le mètre à ruban autour de votre ventre

Comme toutes nos robes sont faites sur mesure, leur temps de confection dépend de la complexité de la conception et des variations saisonnières de la demande. La page de chaque produit indique un délai de traitement calculé selon ces facteurs. Afin de recevoir votre robe dans les temps, veuillez passer votre commande dès que possible afin d’éviter les délais de traitement plus longs durant les hautes saisons.

Nous comprenons que commander une robe pour votre occasion spéciale est un événement important, et notre politique d'annulation a été créé dans cet esprit. Après avoir placé votre commande, il reste du temps pour changer d'avis. Veuillez vous référez aux détails de notre politique d'annulation et de retour.

Retours pour remplacement ou pour remboursement
Votre satisfaction est d’une importance majeure pour nous. A l’arrivée de votre colis, nous vous conseillons de bien le vérifier afin de vous assurer que la robe a été fabriquée en fonction de vos critères. Essayez votre robe dès que possible sans enlever ou altérer les étiquettes, ni passer la robe au lavage.
Si vous souhaitez échanger ou retourner des tenues / accessoires, assurez-vous que ces derniers soient dans leur état d'origine : non portés, non lavés, non modifiés, non endommagés, propres, sans peluches ou cheveux, avec les étiquettes intactes et attachées.
Produits défectueux, endommagés ou livraison erronée : :
Vous pouvez bénéficier d’un remboursement intégral contenant le prix d’achat plus les frais de livraison si votre commande reçue est défectueuse, endommagée ou ne correspond pas à ce que vous avez commandé.
Si vous estimez que vos articles ont été endommagés lors du transport, veuillez obtenir une attestation d’endommagement auprès du livreur.
Problèmes de taille
Comme tous nos vêtements et robes sont cousus mains, le vêtement une fois terminé, peut varier d'approximativement d'1 (un) inch dans chaque direction par rapport aux mesures spécifiées.
La taille de la tenue confectionnée ne correspond pas à celle que vous avez commandée
Si la taille de votre tenue reçue diffère (de plus de 3cm) de vos mensurations enregistrées lors de la commande, nous vous conseillons d'effectuer la retouche chez votre couturier local. Nous vous rembourserons les frais de retouche jusqu’à 100% du prix de la robe. Dans ce cas, veuillez nous faire parvenir la photo du reçu de votre retouche lors de la demande de rembouresement.
La robe confectionnée avec les mesures que vous avez données ne vous va pas
Pour les vêtements, si l'article ne vous va pas mais a été fait exactement selon vos exigences spécifiques et les mensurations fournies, vous êtes éligible pour un réajustement unique et gratuit. Vous serez responsable pour tous les frais de livraison encourus.
Comment retourner un article?
- • (1). Contactez le Service Client dans les 7 jours suivant la réception de votre commande. Veuillez expliquer la raison de votre retour et inclure des photographies justificatives. Aucun retour ne sera accepté sans l'approbation préalable du Service Client.
- • 2) Une fois votre demande acceptée par le Service Client, veuillez envoyer l'article dans les 5 jours ainsi que le Formulaire de Retour du Produit rempli dès que possible.
- • 3) Après réception dans nos locaux, votre retour sera traité dans les 5 à 7 jours ouvrés. Une fois votre retour inspecté et confirmé, veuillez patienter jusqu'à deux cycles de facturation pour que le montant soit crédité sur votre compte. Tout article retourné dans un état inacceptable ne pourra être remboursé et ne vous sera pas réexpédié.

Matière de fabrication
Les robes LightInTheBox sont fabriquées en satin n°395 de Taïwan. Repassable, facile à nettoyer et vernie naturellement, le tissu est ultra souple et ne se froisse pas facilement. Cette matière pèse 30-35g/m2 de plus que le satin normal.
Les fausses robes mises en vente sur les sites arnaques ne pèsent que 20-25 g/m2. En comparant, vous pouvez immédiatement constater que les robes de piètre qualité ne sont pas aussi solides. Elles ont un vernis factice et sont désagréables à porter.2. Broderie
Les robes Lightinthebox sont finement brodées et nos couturiers font très attention aux détails et à la finition. Grâce à leurs travaux, la broderie de nos robes est nette et solide, qui fait resplendir la robe et la rend parfaite.
En revanche, les broderies des robes copiées se détachent facilement.3. Perles de décoration
Nous utilisons des perles sélectionnées pour travailler les détails de chaque robe : les manches, le col, etc. Toutes les décorations sont cousues à la main.
L’association des perles et des broderies est idéale pour les styles classiques et peut rendre le design plus raffiné.
4. Intérieurs
Quand la doublure tient bien, la forme de la robe reste parfaitement en place même sans porter de jupon. Lightinthebox utilise des linges plus épais et surtout plus doux pour que la robe soit plus confortable à porter.
Au contraire, les robes copiées ne sont fabriquées qu'avec une doublure toute légère voire sans doublure. Le résultat est que les tissus ne gardent pas leur forme et tombent vers le bas.5. Soutien et forme

Les baleines sont généralement cousues à l’intérieur de la doublure.
Les extrémités des baleines ont été arrondies pour éviter qu’elles percent le tissu. En outre, les baleines sont entièrement cousues et fixées, donc impossible de se déplacer accidentellement.

1. Combien de temps à l'avance dois-je commander ma robe ? Haut de page Le délai est très important lors de votre commande de robe. Nous vous conseillons de commander au moins 5 semaines à l'avance pour les robes de mariée, et 3 semaines à l'avance pour les robes de fête & cérémonie.
Pourquoi cela prend autant de temps ? Pour garantir une meilleure adaptation, toutes nos robes sont confectionnées de A à Z, nécessitant plus de temps par rapport aux autres revendeurs en ligne. Les délais de confection sont de 13-15 jours ouvrés pour les robes de mariée, et de 7-9 jours ouvrés pour les robes de fête, auxquels s'ajoute un délai d'expédition de 3-8 jours ouvrés (les délais d'expédition précis dépendent du mode de livraison choisi).
Prévoyez suffisamment de temps et vivez une expérience d'achat sans stress. Une fois votre robe reçue, vous aurez même le temps d'apporter les retouches en cas de nécessité !

Ce service sera facturé 29,99$ pour toute robe de moins de 200$, et 39,99$ pour toute robe supérieure à 200$. Lors de votre commande, cochez « Personnaliser » sur la page produit et indiquez vos mesures en pouce. Il sera préférable d'obtenir vos mesures à l'aide d'un pro, mais vous avez également la possibilité d'effectuer les mesures à l'aide du guide de mesure suivant :

Haut de page Mousseline : Délicate, extra-fine et transparente – faite en soie ou rayonne avec une finition soignée ; grâce à sa transparence et sa légèreté, cette matière est souvent utilisée pour fabriquer la couche supérieure des robes, les manches et les boléros.
Organza : Aussi frais et léger que la mousseline, avec une texture plus tenace similaire au tulle mais beaucoup plus flottant ; on l’utilise souvent pour faire des jupes, les manches, la partie du dos et aussi pour les couches superposées.
Satin : Matière lourde et lisse, avec un reflet brillant sur un côté ; le satin est utilisé fréquemment dans la fabrication de robes de mariée.
Soie : L’une des matières les plus appréciées et les plus désirées pour les robes de mariée (et aussi les plus chères).
Satin soyeux : Lisse comme le satin, avec une surface brillante et un dessous mat.
Taffetas :Doux et brillant, un tissu délicat.
Tulle : Fabriqué à partir de soie, nylon ou viscose, le tulle est utilisé essentiellement pour faire les jupes et les voiles.

Pour être sûr de son choix, pensez à commander des échantillons sur notre site, et vous les recevrez 2 semaine après les avoir commandés. 12. Le zip de ma robe est de quel type ? Haut de page Nous utilisons 2 types de zip - celui nvisible et celui visible. Les zips invisibles sont cachés à l'intérieur d'une couture en utilisant une languette indépendante afin de se fondre avec la ligne de robe. Les zips visibles sont plus larges et sont cachés derrière une étiquette de tissu. Ils sont renforcés au sommet par un crochet métallique qui se croche par un anneau en métal ou en tissu. Chaque zip est de haute qualité et est sélectionné méticuleusement.

Entretien de robe
Votre robe est un accessoire très important pour les occasions spéciales, ainsi elle est à la fois un investissement et un souvenir précieux. Veuillez suivre les conseils ci-dessous afin de l'entretenir correctement.
Généralité :
Toutes nos robes sont fabriquées avec du beau tissu de grande qualité qui est :
-100% polyester
- Lavable à sec uniquement
- Infroissable
Pourquoi le nettoyage à sec ?
Le nettoyage à sec est favorable pour la préservation de la couleur et de la beauté du satin ou du tissu satiné de robe.
Beaucoup de nos robes possèdent des ornements délicats, des perles, des broderies ou autres embellissements qui riques d'être endommagés facilement par la machine à laver ou pendant le lavage à la main.
Le nettoyage à sec minimise l'utilisation de séchoir, de fer à repasser dont la chaleur sera nuisible pour le tissu des robes.
Taches :
Pour les taches, si elles sont traitées rapidement, la plupart peuvent être enlevées et votre robe sera aussi belle qu'une robe neuve.
Nettoyage à sec des taches :
- Toutes nos robes doivent être uniquement laver à sec.
- Veuillez emporter la robe avec les taches chez un nettoyeur professionnel le plus vite possible.
- Veuillez préciser au nettoyeur la cause des taches pour qu'il puisse les nettoyer correctement.
Comment enlever les taches au cours d'un événement spécial :
Si votre robe est tachée pendant une soirée ou à un autre événement et vous n'êtes pas dans la mesure de l'emporter chez un nettoyeur, veuillez consulter les conseils ci-dessous afin de minimiser les dommages.
-Tamponnez doucement la partie tachée afin d'enlever les taches. S'il y a des résidus, veuillez les gratter avec un couteau émoussé.
Comment enlever les taches chez vous :
-Veuillez ne pas frotter les taches, car cela va étendre les limites la tache ou la faire pénétrer dans le tissu.
-Utilisez un morceau de linge blanc pour tamponner. Veuillez ne pas utiliser de mouchoirs ou de serviettes en papier qui pourraient laisser les résidus.
-N'utilisez pas de savon ou de produits chimique de prétraitement si vous voulez la faire laver chez un nettoyeur, car les produits chimiques vont endommager davantage le tissu de votre robe.
-Pour les taches d'huile, vous pouvez y sapoudrer du talc ou de la fécule de maïs comme absorbeur. Attendez 5-10 minutes, puis brossez complètement et tamponnez cette partie avec un morceau de linge. Enfin, lavez votre robe à sec le plus vite possible. Taches d'huile communes : maquillage, graisse ou beure, déodorant, essence ou lotions de corps.
-Pour les taches qui n'ont pas d'huile, telles que jus, café/thé, fluides corporels, vin rouge, boue, encre, aliments pour bébé, vous pouvez placer un morceau de linge sous les taches, puis les tamponner tout doucement avec un autre morceau de linge propre mouillé d'eau fraîche.
-Trempez les taches persistantes dans l'eau fraîche pour qu'elles disparaissent (jusqu'à 24 heures). S'il y a encore des taches restantes, veuillez amener votre robe chez un nettoyeur à sec.
-Veuillez ne pas repasser ou sécher votre robe avec de chaleur, car cela va fixer les taches sur le tissu.
Si vous voulez enlever les taches chez vous, soyez prudent et veuillez le faire sogneusement. N'oubliez pas que les détachants ou les détergents que vous utilisez vont réagir avec les produits chimiques de nettoyage à sec, et cela va endommager le tissu de votre robe. Pour les taches sans huile, les détachants oxygénés et les détergents doux sont utiles, néanmoins, pour les taches d'huile, veuillez l'emporter chez un nettoyeur à sec.
-Veuillez ne pas utiliser de javel ou de détergents à base de javel sur nos robes.
-Veuillez consulter attentivement les introductions sur l'emballage du détergent.
-Veuillez l'essayer d'abord sur une partie imperceptible.
-N'utilisez pas plusieurs détergents. Ils vont endommager le tissu.
-Tamponnez soigneusement les taches avec un morceau de linge propre en faisant attention de ne pas étendre la tache davantage.
-Placez un autre morceau de linge sous les taches pour attraper les résidus.
-Tamponnez la tache à partir des bords en évitant de l'élargir.
-Rincez complètement tous les détergents ou les détachants après le nettoyage.
-Une fois rincée, mettez la partie humide dans une serviette puis séchez-la à plat. Veuillez ne pas la tourner ni la tordre.
Froissures :
Le tissu de nos robes ne se frosse pas facilement. Si c'est la cas, veuillez la suspendre pour que le tissu soit bien pendant. De plus, vous pouvez repasser très attentivement le tissu à une température moins élevée afin d'enlever les froissures persistantes.
-Si les froissures existent encore après la suspension, veuillez suspendre la robe dans la salle de bain en laissant le robinet d'eau chaude ouvert. Assurez-vous que la robe ne mouille pas.
- Pour les froissures persistantes, vous pouvez les repasser à une température moins élevée, car le fer à repasser trop chaud va endommager les fibres du tissu.
-Si vous voulez utiliser le fer à vapeur, veuillez alors utiliser de l'eau distillée et nettoyez tous les résidus et poussières du fer à vapeur.
-Vous pouvez essayer sur une partie imperceptible et placer un morceau de linge propre entre le fer à repasser et la robe.
Préservation/Entretien :
Nos tissus sont sélectionnés méticuleusement, ils sont non seulement beaux mais aussi durables. Ainsi, votre robe sera belle comme au premier jour pendant de nombreuse années, si vous l'entretenez avec soin.
-Veuillez la laver à sec après l'avoir portée. Les sécrétions corporelles ou les taches inperceptibles vont décolorer le tissu avec le temps.
-Si la robe n'est pas très lourde, vous pouvez la mettre dans une housse à vêtement pendant plusieurs mois.
-Si la robe est trop lourde, veuillez ajouter un deuxième cintre afin de diminuer le poids sur les bretelles.
-Pour les robes lourdes avec des perles ou des broderies, elles risquent de se détacher si elles sont suspendues trop longtemps. Veuillez les conserver dans une boîte avec un papier sans acide.
-Veuillez étendre la robe à plat ou la rouler au lieu de la plier pour éviter la foissure.
-Conservez votre robe dans un endroit frais et sec pour éviter le jaunissement et la moisissure.

Both my wife and I wore this same dress to our same sex ceronmony in Jan 2011. We had them custom made for us and the dresses fit almost close to perfect with the measurements we gave. We had the straps slightly ammended in Australia. But other than that we were extremely happy with how well the dressers were made. We did attach a coloured train to the exsisting train to individualise them to our own personalities which enhanced the look of the dress as well. The train was detactable which was perfect to take off for our reception. Light in the Box were fast with shipping and were excellent with all there communication and updates. I would definitely recommend Light in the Box. Measure yourself correctly with a bit extra space more than anything. Our dressmaker was impressed with the workmanship for the price. I did need to have it altered a bit. the train was quite long but the seamstress added a small button to the back so it could be busseled because the train was too gorgeous to remove completely! the bead work was very nice as well. I bought this dress in sky blue for my husband Marine Corp Ball. I'm 5'3'' with a 35 1/2 inch bust 26 inch waist and 36 inch hip. I was so afraid the the size 6 would be too small, but I bought on a whirl hoping that if it was I could loose a few inches before I had to squeeze into it, but it was perfect fit. The only issue I had was cheap looking sleeves which seems to be the most thing people complain about. I also had an issue with it being to long by about 6 inches. I tried on 4 inch heels and I was still stepping on it so I got it altered which costed another 40 bucks since it is chiffon. The color matched perfectly to the swatchs. I was thinking it would be a little dark so I bought the sky blue, but I wish I had bought in darker blue now because it made me look even more pale than I am which made me self conscious, but other than that I'd say it was a great experience. The shipping was pretty quick after it was shipped. It took a total of about 3 weeks to get it and 5 or 6 days to get it in the mail after I received the "it shipped" notice. I bought this dress for my wedding in April. It arrived in under a month which I thought was very good. I did'nt get a dressmaker to fit me, I did it myself, but I believe it to be very accurate as I measured myself about 6 times to be sure! Unfortunatly when the dress arrived it was about 2 sizes too big for me. That is quite a big difference so I don't know how it went wrong. But better too big than too small I say! When buying the dress I asked one of the online sales reps what colour the sash was on the dress pictured and was told pink. However the pink was a sickly lolly pink which didn't match the ivory of the dress. I really wanted a vintage dusky pink colour so I bought the fabric colour I wanted and set out to find a dress maker. It was hard to find a dressmaker that would do a good job for a good price but in the end I found a clothing alterations shop who was awesome. I had 3 fitings and had the dress resized to fit me perfectly and also made some changes to the design for $300 NZ. So all up I paid $700 NZ for the dress, which I was extremely happy with for a dress I will only wear once! The changes to the style that we made were: -Attaching a hook under the zip where the train could be hooked up when I was dancing etc. (I highly recomend this as it looked realy lovely up aswell as down) -Making the train slightly shorter at the sides as it didnt sit particulary well when hooked up -Made the dress tighter at the thigh all the way down to the knee so it fish tailed more as I didn't like the A-Frame style -Replaced the sash for a different colour and made it tie up at the back -added in bra inserts so that I didn't have to wear a bra You could tell the fabrics were not high quality but only by looking up very close and the beading on this dress is quite lovely Buying this dress online was a real risk but one I am happy I took. It can be stressful when you can't try a dress on before you buy it but I think if you don't hold high expectations that the dress will be perfect when it arrives and order it early so you have enough time to fix it up then it is worth your while, especially if you don't want to pay the big money for a dress in a shop. I ordered this dress the last week in October and received it November 15. I ordered the dress in white and a size 2. I absolutely loved it! There was one part of the dress that I need to get fix, part of the dress was overlapping the flowers on bottom, but it's nothing big. In my opinion, the dress needs a mermaid petticoat. In the picture that I attached I put a regular petticoat under the wedding dress, that's why it looks so big. If you are unsure whether to order the wedding dress because it is online, I would say ORDER the DRESS do not Hesitate. You will love it! I will sure be telling my friends about light in the box. I custom ordered this dress in ivory and it took just over 2 weeks to arrive....I live in Oregon....The only thing I didn't care for was the straps they just looked cheap on such a beautiful dress. I took a pair of scissors and carefully cut them off. As soon as I did that we all thought wow! Fit perfectly. Married August 7th 2010 in Vegas. So many compliments asking wear I bought it:) Also I had to iron the chiffon a little in the areas that didn't have ruffles. The dress arrived slightly quicker than stated and was absolutely beautiful and just like the picture. Very well made and good quality fabric etc. ~Colour was spot on the colour on the website. My daughter wore it to her prom and looked amazing in it. the bride ordered us GOLD color. when i saw the dress for the first time, I thought the color looks a greenish. It was not love at the first sight. It has self padded bra and the workmanship was pretty good. I got a size 4, and the waist and bust fits a little tight for me, but it’s all good because it made me correct my posture. The other petite bridesmaid in the photo ordered a size 2, she think it’s a little big, but it’s not her fault because size 2 is the smallest size they have. if you have curvy or bigger chest, I would recommend to order a size up. Everyone dreads having to wear a bridesmaid dress but I can happily say my first time as one has not left me scarred. My friend chose this dress in Purple with a matching belt. Super pretty color, and very fun playful cut. I was worried that the dress would keep sliding down since i'm blessed in the breast department. Luckily that wasn't an issue. I spent the entire night dancing and didn't once feel like I was going to fall out of my dress. I even placed my order late and it still arrived w/ ample time for the wedding. My wedding was on July 2 in my backyard. I wanted something comfortable but elegant. This dress was absolutely perfect!. The material and the actual make of it are stunning. My mother said that you could probably wear it inside out. I sent in my measurements, and it fit like a glove. As usual, I procrastinated and waited until only 15 days before my prom to order the dress.. my prom was on May 1 and I ordered the dress on April 16. It has three layers of fabric which makes for a beautiful flowing look (the bottom layer is a kindof thicker fabric, the middle is a silky fabric, and the top is a sheer flowy fabric. Hi, I ordered this dress March 21 and it arrived today 6th May, just in time for my formal which was on the 8th May. I ordered the dress in black and I would highly recommend black to anyone interested in this dress. I was looking for something with sleeves in a reasonable price range and came across this dress. I ordered 10 total in 2 colors and several sizes. The blue and the lavender for alternating colors in the bridal party. Here are a couple of pictures. There are small sleeves that you cannot see in the websites picture here. you can see what I'm referring to in the picture of my daughter in both colors that I'm posting. We ended up cutting the sleeves off all 10 dresses. I'm very pleased with the blue (turquoise) color. It's very bright. The fabric is not soft like chiffon but still very good. Light and comfortable. I ordered these dresses for my daughter's wedding. She could not choose between her nieces so decided to have them all in the wedding party meaning we had to find 7 dresses for the children. We ordered in US sizes, white with champagne belt. They were delivered at the time we were told and far exceeded my expectations! The dresses are absolutely gorgeous!!! Amazing dress! This dress completely exceeded my expectations. The embroidery is phenominal. The dress is covered in intricate detailing. The pictures do not do it justice. All the embroidery around the midsection is completely emersed in bead work. It comes with a very nice breathable garment bag as well. I did the exact size and it is a perfect fit. Im a larger woman, about a size 14-16 normally. The dress is amazing regardless of size. I haven't figured out how to tie the train up for the reception yet, but i'm sure i will think of something. This dress is a complete steal at 229$. I saw similar dresses retail at more then 3000$. I came across this dress looking for something with straps vs the 98% of strapless dresses right now. so i ordered my dress and it took a total of TWO MONTHS to be made and shipped to me. luckily it made its way to my doorstep a month before prom! i ordered the dress in grape and put in my custom measurements (which were NOT my measurements because i had to get A LOT of work done to the dress!). when i opened the package, i took out the dress and saw that it had a TWO FOOT LONG TRAIN. the waist of the dress was too small and i had to get the train cut off and a gusset put in on both sides and the zipper changed. after two weeks of work and $150 spent, the dress was perfect! before you buy, READ THE REVIEWS! hopefully you won't be in the same situation as i was! I wore this dress for my wedding 3 months ago. I loved it, I was so impressed with the quality as soon as I received it! Only thing I didnt take into account was the fact that because its shipped and packed into a box, it was creasy when I took it out of the box however once I had it steamed it looked stunning. Only other thing I would change is getting it made to size instead of the standard size that I chose because it was a little bit to long for me, but you hardly noticed at the wedding. The quality of the stiching and material of the dress is great, the boning is in all the right places, the details and sequins on the front are gorgeous. At first I was hesitant to buying a wedding dress online and from another country plus I hadn't heard anything about this website but after reading other reviews on the site I saw that people had good luck, so for under $300 I went for it and I am SOOOO glad I did! This dress is absolutely stunning and looks very similar to the picture above. The only thing that I will alter is the puff on the shoulder. It's smaller and lower than pictured and I looove that about the dress. This will be an easy fix as I am not worried about it! The dresses out there that look close to this style are well over $1000 and I feel very lucky and fortunate to have stumbled across this site. i ordered this dress on 7.5.10 and it arived on the 4.6.10. i was a bit worried as the box was so small. i ordered it for my neice and daughter as thy are going to be my flower girls in july. once i opened the box i was so pleased. the dresses are so beautifull and look just like they discribed. i do recomend that you order made to mesure or a few sizes biger as my daughter is 6 she's a bit tall for her age so i ordered usa size 8 and it fits perfect. its easer to have the dress taken in rather then buy a new on because they dont fit! im very happy with the dresses and look forward to ordering more xx By Clearheels ,Jun 2010

I have always dreamed to have Audrey's dress for my wedding and here it has arived to me within 10 days of ordering it!! White, simple, timeless - utterly beautiful :) The dress and the veil I have ordered came in a middle sized box printed inside with flowers and a pink zipper cover for it. Everything was nicely packed. As for the quality, a whole dress is well made. I still can't believe for such a little price! I chose size 2 since my measurements are exact and the padded bodice is tight, especially underneath the arms (not too tight though). It's more like well-fitting :) Ballet-type skirt has many layers and it's just perfect. I can't wait to wear it at the wedding day! I'm certainly going to order one more dress for other occasion. I ordered this dress in a standard size UK 8 and was surprised at how perfectly it fitted for my prom! I ordered it in 'light sky blue' and the colour was exactly what i wanted. It did need to be taken up alot and the train was very long so i would definately recommend having it altered so it can be attached to the dress, so your not holding it up all the time, but overall i loved it :)! I'm eloping to Las Vegas to get married. I needed a simple knee length white dress. I was reluctant to buy online for all the obvious reasons. I spent two months trying to find a dress. So, on May 11th, I decided to order it. I had a back-up dress just in case. I got my dress today. It's perfect. It fits like a glove. It's top quality workmanship. The neckline shows that is kinda heart shaped, but it's not, it goes straight across. That is not a problem it is still beautiful. The belt is not attached and there are no loops, but i'm glad because it looks better without a belt. I am so very pleased with my purchase. The sizing is true. I wear a 16W dress and that is what i ordered. It is not flattering to my figure but i don't have a flattering figure LOL. I have pics. My 6yr old Grandson took them so please excuse. I brought it in marine foncé, and the dress looks just like the one Serena wears on Gossip Girl (the dress seems darker on Gossip Girl than the one on the picture). I ordered my dress on June 5th and received it today, June 23rd :o) (For references' sake, I live on the East Coast of Canada). My boyfriend and I are eloping to Florida in October for a beach wedding and I fell in love with this dress....and didn't read the million awful reviews out there until AFTER I had ordered it, so I was extremely nervous about it. I got it today and I have to say, I am VERY impressed with my $99 dress, as were my parents and older brother. It is built so sturdy, with lots of under layering and boning on the corset, not to mention a built in bra which is incredibly important for bigger chested ladies like myself in a strapless. I wore this dress in 'lilac' to my school ball recently and I loved it - wish I could wear it again! It did take a while to arrive (5 weeks) so I was really worried that it wouldn't arrive in time but the shipping was amazingly fast. Unfortunately it had a really long train (like the other reviews have said) which cost alot to be removed by another seamstress. I think the silver sequins/beading looked nice with the lilac and I didn't find it tacky. I bought one dress as a test for my bridesmaid, with the idea of buying the rest of the dresses if the first one worked out. I was SO thrilled when I saw the pictures of my sister wearing the dress and looking stunning! The boning, ruffles, zipper seams, were all perfect! Since she ordered a standard size, it was slightly tight around the middle, so she will just get it altered a little around the waist. Still, it is a small fee to get it altered compared to the full value of the dress. It's made of heavy, beautifully smooth satin fabric, and she is thinking of altering it more after the wedding to turn it into a cute little cocktail dress. It is also really long in the skirt - because my sister is pretty short - but getting it shortened is tons easier than getting it lengthened! Another thing - some people would think chocolate brown an odd color for a bridesmaid dress, but I LOVE chocolate brown, and it's one of the colors for my wedding - and though I'm biased - I think it looks absolutely beautiful! We bought a custom sized & tailored dress of this type in ivory colour (not green as seen in the pic). We are absolutely satisfied with both the service and the dress itself. Everything was just as requested (colour, material, shape, style, size). I know many people are afraid of buying their wedding dress from a webshop (and from China) but it's so simple and fun. You measure parts of your body following the simple guidelines of lightinthebox and they produce a custom made dress for you - it's not that you must fit into a dress pre-made following a general sizechart. We made the order from Hungary (not close to China, indeed :), and shipping was fine (with DHL) - it takes a good while for the package to be shipped if you want a tailor made dress as we did but if you count with the maximum number of days promised/estimated by lightinthebox, you'll be on time for sure. The only difference in the parameters of the dress here and in real life was its weight. The whole box (which included this dress + a pair of shoes for the dress) was pretty small and weighed not more than 0.5 kg (!). And even better, the dress was not creased at all due to its material. I was so nervous buying dresses from so far away but the dresses here in the UK are all made in China and shipped to bridal shops anyway so I decided to cut out the middle man. I am more than glad I did. Firstly, the fact that - for the small extra charge you can have dresses made to measure - means a saving of at least £40-£60 per dress if it had to be altered here in the UK. I had all 3 of my adult bridesmaids dresses made and they are a beautiful fit. Just the quality you would get in any bridal shop. Supported bust and lining. My size 14 and 18 bridesmaids are both very happy with the fit. I had to change my 3rd bridesmaid and so had to take the 3rd dress to be altered for the new bridesmaid. The bridal shop alteration has only cost me £40 as the dress has been made in such a way that it was a simple job to do. The alteration lady even commented on the quality of the dress. If you are worried about the measurements just stick to the website's measurement advice. My bridesmaids are wearing kitten heeled shoes but I think if they were going to wear high heels they would have needed a little extra length. I ordered Burgundy all 3 in completely different sizes and they are absolutely gorgeous. I am so happy with them. Plus even with the chinese new year holiday (their only one all year) I received them with fully trackable DHL courier in very good time. I emailed customer service so many times to check on them and they were always polite, helpful and quick to reply. I wish UK companies were so good in customer service in all honesty! I __loved__ the dress. Granted, it was a bit difficult to avoid having people step on the train but thats not a large issue. I bought it for prom last year and it even has little loops you can clip bra straps on to help hold it up. EVERYONE at prom loved it. its unique and simple but elegant at the same time. This is a beautiful dress. I was at first a little hesitant to buy the dress from this website as i was not sure if the dress would actually arrive, or would i just be scammed. But it turned out to be way better than i expected. Its beautifully made, delivered on time. I was informed through out the process of the delivery of the dress. It came well packed. I bought this for my sister-in law's wedding in marine foncé--received it super quickly (less than 2 weeks) and am really happy with it. I am VERY very picky and usually would only buy a designer dress- but totally fell in love with this. Quality was amazing--tons of layers, excellent fabric, perfect color match, measurements exactly as listed. I paired it with a gold belt and sewed in some Carolina Herrera cotton tulle in the back opening for some modesty. It was VERY long- I'm 5'6 and I kept tripping over it--should have altered the length-- but it looked very cool because it swept the floor. Will definitely buy from LIB again. Hi, I ordered this dress in a medium size. The dress arrived yesterday and took 11 days to arrive to Australia. It looks just amazing! The dress looks the same as in the picture. I ordered a size too big so it's a little big, but only by a cm or so. It's quite long so I am going to have it hemed but that is usual with all dresses, and the straps are a little long so I am also going to have them taken up slightly. However that is all pretty normal stuff for an "off-the-rack" dress and its a simple fix. Its a slightly more peachy-pink colour than the photo, but that may just be my monitor, but still a beautiful colour. The only fault in it is that its a number of layer (lining, tule, satin, chiffon), one of which is a tule but it starts just below the hips. I am quite curvy so it shows slightly where it starts if you look closely, so I am just going to have it removed because it doesn't even need it, it will flow stright down without it. However if you don't have a very curvy figure it would be fine. This also may be fixed by trimming it from the hem, easy to do. P.S: One photo is taken with a flash, one without, the full length photo looks a little orange, its not that colour in real life, its still a soft pink dress. By G ,Aug 2010

Let me just note that prior to encountering this website, I've searched for 4 months in multiple malls for a dress suitable but simple for my sister's wedding but was ultimately disappointed because the dresses I liked did not fit my petite figure. PRICING: When I found this dress, I was very happy because even with custom sizing (an extra $29.99) this dress came to $99.99 only. So the total of the dress including shipping was cheaper than a dress that I could find that may not fit me properly. SHIPPING:The dress, since it was custom made, took a little over two months to arrive at my door. It arrived squished in a surprisingly small box, which will most likely require steam ironing before wear. IMPRESSION:I was very pleasantly surprised with the color I had chosen (chocolate brown), the material (a heavier, thicker satin which looks and feels good), the cutting (it had a very nice flare to it), as well as the details (there is an elastic right below the breast to help keep the tube dress up, it was such a small gesture/detail but made the dress so much better) MOBILITY: A very important thing to consider if you were expected to be walking around all day. The dress, with the help of the elastic below the breast, stayed on surprisingly better than most tube dresses I own, and I did not have to fix it very often. It was a very good length to allow for me to carry a lot of things around, and as it was made of a heavier/thick satin material, did not get stuck on anything at all. IMPROVEMENT:The only fault, if any, was that the cup they had inserted into the dress was too big for my breasts. The fit was still snug but the cup was not at all the same shape/size as my breasts and, to me, looked a bit odd. I've included the picture of it from the side. OVERALL: I was very pleased with the dress still, and it received quite a bit of compliments that night! A tip for custom sizing - I had wanted the dress to be a perfect fit, and because I have a petite figure, I know how easy it would be for dresses to look big on me. I had actually subtracted half an inch~an inch or so from my real measurements and submitted those. The end result was very good, and you can see that in the picture I've attached. Ordered this dress last year for our work's Christmas ball in the shown colour - couldn't believe the quality of the dress and the detail on it when it got here. It fitted absolutely perfectly, as I had ordered it on the made to measure service as I am unusual proportions because of my job and taller than most. Fortunately I did cheat and add a couple of extra inches around the hips, which was useful as it gave me a bit more play in the dress when it came to sitting down! The dress proved very popular with my colleagues, with many of them telling me they wanted to borrow it in future years!!! For anyone considering this dress, I would heartily recommend it if you want the added wow factor, and I would definitley use this service again - just be aware of the additional import tax bill that follows from DHL a month or so later than delivery (think I had to pay about £20 - can't remember exactly but was no more than that). The rich chocolate color was lovely, the fabric weight was nice and the quality of construction was flawless. The dress fit perfectly except the length. The directions on the website say "measure from hollow to floor without shoes". Do not measure without shoes! We were able to embellish the hem with lace to achieve the correct length. The price was good plus I found a coupon online and Lightinthebox gave me a credit for the length error. I am always impressed with a company that will go the extra mile to make a customer happy. I got seven of these for my bridesmaids in GREEN. It is darker than the picture, and the rhinestones on the straps are big and there are a ton of them. We ended up taking all of them off and sewing the rhinestones on the waist to make some definition. The skirt is shorter than the picture, and the bodice is too long to be empire and too short to go down to the waist. Still, they turned out pretty and looked great. ok, so THANK GOD my friend had already ordered a dress from here for her wedding and was able to "vouch" for this site and their quality. I was all set to order from one of the competitor's site (the "imposter" sites, apparently) but was nervous because they had VERY few reviews there. So about lightinthebox.com I can confidently say they are AWESOME. You always hear "if it sounds to good to be true it usually is" and I was warned by may that if the dresses were this cheap there "must be something wrong with them." I can say, NOPE and NOPE. I ordered my dresses (yes, ES. At this price I ordered a ceremony AND a reception dress) on Friday, May 28th, think I finalized the oder around 9:30 pm. I recieved them yesterday (June 10th). Amazing! So about this dress specifically. It is kind of hard to imagine as Ivory because of the colors of the sample photographed, so I photoshopped it (see photo) before ordering. I read alot about the dresses being a little big in the bust, so I took a chance and ordered a size DOWN. (a 6. Risky, I know) I am sooo glad to report that while snug, it fits! Pretty sure I would have had it taken in if I had ordered the 8. So I think even after I drop a few lbs, it will still fit without having to be altered. The only thing I will need to do (unless I wear reeeealy high platform heels) is take about 3-5" off the length. I am fairly short though (5'4") so you tall gals should be fine. The satin they use is as advertised, it is a nice heavyweight beautiful "bridal" satin. It isn't thing or cheap looking AT ALL (it is seriously like what you'd get from David's, Alfred Angelo, most designer boutiques, etc). The tulle is also nice and fairly soft (not like the scratchy vintage tulle) AND all of the dresses are FULLY lined, so your legs will never have to feel the tulle (and pantyhose, if worn, won't snag on it). I personally don't feel like this dress needs any more petticoats or a hoop skirt, but I guess that's up to you. (It already has like 3 layers under the satin). A couple things to note: 1. The sash shown is sewn into the dress! It isn't pictured this way, but it is. not a big deal, but I was considering using a colored sash, so it just slightly complicated things (I can remove the bow and tie another sash over the existing if I reeeeeally think I need/want it). 2. The black flower's on the top of the bodice are really cheezy and look a little cheap. I will totally be removing them (but then, I knew this before I even ordered). They are strange, and look out of place. But then, they did on the original (Vera) as well. oh, and shipping/packaging. It'll arrive in a smaller box than you'd think. However, they are packing genius's, the dresses come out with very few wrinkles. I ordered 2 dresses, a veil, a shrug, hairpins, headband, and a feather headpiece thing and it shipped in a box approx 20" x 12" 12". The shipping was ridiculously fast. It shipped either Mon the 7th or Tues the 8th (says one thing one place, another another place) and arrive the 10th. SERIOUSLY. A M A Z I N G. Now I can't say that is always goes down like this, but it did for me! They sent me a nice pink garmet pag too. Overall I am completely satisfied with the quality and fit of this dress. If it weren't so damn expensive to ship, I'd order from them all the time! An amazing Vera Wang(ish) for less than $250 (shipped) in 2 weeks, that everyone will think was $1-$2K+. Yes please! The entire Light in the Box Experience was great. I was a little nervous because I ordered the dress in champagne only 5 weeks before the wedding. It arrived in 3 weeks, thankfully. The champagne color was beautiful and the quality of the dress amazing... definitely exceeded my expectations. It arrived a small box just like Lauren and Angel described... folded inside out. Counting the toole, satin and inside petticoat there are about 4 layers. I removed the cheap looking embellishments and bow. The size grid was right on and the dress fit perfectly (ordered a size 4), with the exception of the hem. I let the dress hang for a several days and then took a fairly hot iron to get out the creases from shipping. Because of all the layers it cost around $90 for the hem. Overall, a very good value for my dollar. Once the hem, gown, and shipping were all done, the dress cost me around $300. It looks like a $600-$800 dress from a bridal gown store. I didn't add any extra hoop or petticoat beneath the dress because my wedding was a simple outdoor ceremony at a vineyard, so I wasn't going for a full gown. I received many compliments on my dress and could not have been happier. I would highly recommend Light in the Box. They were very responsive when I had email questions and sent email updates. K - so dress arrived yesterday (delivered within 2 weeks, I'm in Quebec, Canada). Very well made, the upper portion has boning in it which is great for support, but the bottom is a but "puffier" than I would have liked. I did not do the custom sizing, but instead ordered a size bigger (as most of the reviewers recommended) and it is quite big on the top. The "pointed" ends are quite long so I'll have to get a few alterations done, to take it in and to shorten it. I took a chance and ordered this beautiful dress on 11th June 2010 and it arrived on my doorstep yesterday, 2nd July. Very quick indeed. It really is utterly amazing how they pack so much into such a small box! I ordered this dress and the recommended petticoat, a ring pillow and a garter, total cost £190. However I also had to pay DHL who delivered the parcel a further £20.89 for Customs and VAT charges, which I was less than happy about yesterday! I emailed LightInTheBox about it and read up about it on the internet and discovered that not all parcels get charged for duty and VAT at customs so I’m just unlucky that they checked my parcel and added a charge – it is not a charge that LightBox could have foreseen but it’s worth bearing in mind if you make an order, that you may have to pay a little more for your item when you receive it. When I opened the ordinary looking brown box, I found it’s covered in pretty roses inside and my dress was perfectly packaged. I opened the petticoat first, thinking ‘I thought this was supposed to be hooped, it’s so small’ and then it popped open into it’s three hoops and it’s HUGE, I can’t for the life of me fold it back up and it really is very big! The dress came inside out to protect the front and it’s just stunning. I ordered it in ivory and it’s gorgeous. I will attach pictures also. I agree with Angel’s review that the little black flowers on the top of the bodice look a bit cheesy/silly and I’ll probably take them off too. The quality of the dress is fantastic – there is no way anyone would think you paid less than £600, it’s just so well made. The satin is very good quality. I know this because I ordered a dress from China on Ebay from selecting a picture of a dress I liked and got a very poor imitation for my money. The satin on the LightBox dress is a hundred times better than the polyester satin used on the first dress I bought from China on Ebay. The skirt of the dress is very fine netting on top which hangs perfectly over the satin skirt beneath. There are then layers of thick net beneath the satin, to give it it’s shape, and then a lining skirt too. Personally, I won’t be wearing the petticoat as the dress looks much more ethereal without it and is just seriously huge with the petticoat added in. However, if you want to look like a princess and have a large Cinderella style skirt, then the petticoat will be perfect for you as it gives you a really large ball gown shape. To be honest, the petticoat only cost £17, so it was worth ordering it just to see if I needed it. The satin ribbon on the bodice is sewn really well so that the dress holds it’s shape when you wear it. There is also elastic inside the bodice at the back like a bra strap to hold it in place – very clever. The fit is lovely, slightly too big for me on the bodice but I think that’s more because I measured my chest wrong – you really shouldn’t do it yourself! But the waist and hips are just perfect, and I can definitely take it in slightly on my bust – or get a strapless bra, no problem. All in all, if you are worried about the quality you will receive from LightBox, don’t be. They are different to other sites that offer to make dresses for you because the pictures of the dresses you are viewing are owned by them – they are their designs, whereas other people are showing you an image of a dress that does not belong to them and making a dress a little bit different to the picture to avoid copyright – trust me, I learnt the hard way and wasted £100 on a dress that looked nothing like the picture! I am one of those low maintenance kind of ladies, and I did not try on a single dress before this one arrived at my door and I was floored, as was my seamstress. I wanted something that was not puffy, elegant and sexy all in one, and definitely found it in this dress. The dress is made of quality material, required very little tailoring eventhough I bought the size that would fit my measurements, and made me feel like a princess. I received my Kate Hudson dress yesterday via UPS. I had it 3 day shipped and it was here in 2! Don't be afraid of the small box it comes in.They take wonderful care in wrapping the dress. IT IS PERFECT! You definitely need to go by the size chart they give you... mine was right on the money. I will not need alterations except at the bottom :) It's beautiful! I looks like it cost WAY more than 250 dollars. The time and attention to detail is definitely shown in the making of this dress. I can't say thank you enough to anyone involved in making this dress! Hey, I received the dress yesterday and it is absolutely amazing - it looks exactly like the picture, the back is exactly the same as the picture (for those that were wondering!) The lining is double lined, the first layer is like a cotton material, which i guess is to stop the satin from becoming too static and sticking to your legs, and the second layer is made from satin. I got it made in champagne, and it really is a lovely colour so I would definately recommend it! There is a built in bra in the dress, with a separate 'bra strap' concealed undernearth the strip at the back of the dress and there is also boning inside the bodice, which is perfect for keeping the dress up! I'm eloping to Las Vegas to get married. I needed a simple knee length white dress. I was reluctant to buy online for all the obvious reasons. I spent two months trying to find a dress. So, on May 11th, I decided to order it. I had a back-up dress just in case. I got my dress today. It's perfect. It fits like a glove. It's top quality workmanship. The neckline shows that is kinda heart shaped, but it's not, it goes straight across. That is not a problem it is still beautiful. The belt is not attached and there are no loops, but i'm glad because it looks better without a belt. I am so very pleased with my purchase. The sizing is true. I wear a 16W dress and that is what i ordered. It is not flattering to my figure but i don't have a flattering figure LOL. I have pics. My 6yr old Grandson took them so please excuse.
