Do our customers need to pay for additional fees?

It depends on whether your destination country or state charges customs duties or other taxes like sales tax in some states of the United States. We strictly obey and respect the law and rules of each local place and are responsible for the purchase behavior of our customers. If there is such a tax, the charge will be displayed on the checkout page. Please check clearly before you make a payment. If you have any question about the charges, don’t hesitate to contact our customer service staff to figure it out.


About Paying Tax on Purchases

Many countries and jurisdictions around the world apply certain taxes on consumer purchases. The price shown under or next to the products only represent the charges of the products, which are exclusive of delivery charges, taxes (where applicable) which will be charged to you separately at the applicable rate.


Sales taxes in the United States

Sales tax is governed at the state level and no national general sales tax exists. Different states in the United States have different tax law and rules. It is required that sellers collect it at the time of the sale. Therefore, for certain states, Lightinthebox.com needs to charge the sales tax at the applicable rate for our consumers. Applicable sales tax will be collected and included in the order total at checkout.


If for some reason we are not able to ship your goods, the charges of products, delivery and taxes (where applicable) will be refunded to the original method of payment.
